Poor D. Warwick. He came so close to winning in Brazil in 84. It's funny, drop a win or two from Prost, Senna or Schumi's record, it wouldn't make a difference, but a win would have meant the world to guys like Amon, Warwick or Brundle, men with equal talent who were never in the riht place at the right time.
Unlike Amon and Warwick, Brundle actually never ever lead a race.
Amon led for 183 laps in total and was often cruising to a win when he a puncture or something. Second is Jean Behra who led over 100 laps too, but never won a race. Warwick sadly never broke his duck. He was a decent driver who deserved a win at least.
Still a awesoma driver watched him in the wet masters race at silverstone and his 1st tc win at knockhill when it poured down!!! amazing driver in wet conditions !!!
Oi idiot. please respect others. How about you not comment on stuff you nothing about. Maybe in your spare time you could find something else to LOL at.
Have i missed the point of tribute vids? isnt a tribute meant to show both the good and the bad of someones career? what i saw was just crashes. next time add a bit more positive stuff. like what he did OUTSIDE formula one, where he was very successful.
Basically yes, although officially it was because Senna felt the Lotus team, already underfunded by 1986, could not fully support 2 drivers. So Lotus hired Johnny Dumfries and basically gave him no support and focused entirely on Senna.
Derek was to be signed to drive for Williams in 1985-1986 but Frank Williams opted for Mansell instead. Warwick never got the chance, but he did some nice drives in the Renault Turbo in 1984.
i owe Derek many thanks, i share my name with him and growing up with him in the F1 circus was a cool thing to have as a kid, wish i could have met him.

Wasn't he the one that Ayrton Senna didn't want to join him at Lotus because he thought he could beat him? Or something like that anyway.
