Hill has many sound propersitions, BUT in his 'success through a positive mental attitude' more than 90% of the books perspective is based on salesmanship.

You didn't understand Think and Grow Rich. There is no "blueprint" for success. If there were a blueprint then more people would be successful. Think and Grow Rich is about developing the mindset required for success. Without the mindset you can't utilize your true potential and all the blueprints in the world won't help.

Decide what it is you want, develop a plan to obtain it, go to work on that plan with MASSIVE ACTION and a passionate, driving, burning Obsession to accomplish that which you seek. Persist until you have accomplished your goal no matter what obstacles arise. Allow no persons opinion, no influence to dwell in your being that does not harmonize with your Purpose.

Why the older versions are more thicker. The first one (Turkish) I had printed in 2007 and I bought a second copy because I teared the first one apart and wanted to keep working with the book. Anyway, these copies printed in my country are 230+ pages. And there's new version on the Amazon - Restored & Revised Original Version which is 400+ pages.

Yes the secret is in this book. It just isnt named as Law of Attraction. And the mastermind group isnt a bunch of people ( as I first thought), it is your higher self/source energy which he is talking about. If you dont understand this book, read Ask and It Is Given by Abraham-Hicks. This will help you understand Think and Grow Rich easier. It helped me once I knew the LOA through studying Abraham-Hicks material..
Think and take action!!! That's the part that's missing. You can sit around and think all you want it's not going to make anything happen unless you act on it and work your butt off.

The secret comes in two parts.

Joe, the Secret is in the book and I discovered it around 2am in 1996 while in my college dorm room listening it to audio.Hill even states that the secret is more powerful if it is uncovered on your own. The "secret" he said is touched upon on every chapter of the book, and the secret is on the TITLE of the book, "Think".Thoughts are things and are like magnets. What we think about we become or don't become. He later said that this was the secret in the last chapter of Magic Key to Riches.

After doing so people won't have to question if there is a secret of success or law of attraction implication. After all, people don't just splurt out secrets to their exact detail. @tjg2008 Hey TJG, I want you to think on this. There are two different extremes, the self-debasing community and the self-absorbed one. I personally believe that one should take these wonderful success principles to heart and use them while also at the same time not forsaking the Maker's love and guidance. There is a middle ground which I believe we were meant to tread. We have free will but we also have to realize that we can err. Go out there and succeed but dont forsake the Maker either.
Think And Grow Rich is easier to assimilate, and by no means is a sales letter. When I see people like this I can't help to say: The only people whose words I trust nowadays are those of Bob Proctor, Richard Bandler, and Ross Jeffries. No Quarrel with you Mr Vitale.
I've read both books more then 20 times each, and found out that the book "Think and grow rich" is just a compendium of "the laws of success", which describes Hill's principles.
I think their is a secret in the pages of this book and that secret is "DESIRE", .People who make money have a Subconscious conviction ie DESIRE to do so they have convinced their Subconscious through this Mechanism of DESIRE that they will be wealthy and once the Subconscious believes it manifestation begins

Great review and perspective, Joe. I find that a great many people who love and recommend TAGR have actually never read -- or even discovered -- "The Laws of Success", the larger work on which TAGR is based.
Incidentally -- and just as an aside -- I cannot find where Hill ever used the term "law of attraction" in any of his works. I know there are several edited versions of his book available so it's possible it's just not in any of mine.
Dr Vitale is correct with mentioning the "Laws of Success" (2 books). A lot more information about attracting success in all categories. Here is a comment:

The bible is the most popular book in the world and the most sold in the world every year. Think and grow rich is a form of self worship circumvents the only salvation and redemption that is given to man through repentance from sin and faith toward the Lord Jesus Christ. The devils hand book of self redemption. Every knee shall bow to Christ Jesus even you.

@tjg2008 Hey TJG, I want you to think on this. There are two different extremes, the self-debasing community and the self-absorbed one. I personally believe that one should take these wonderful success principles to heart and use them while also at the same time not forsaking the Maker's love and guidance. There is a middle ground which I believe we were meant to tread. We have free will but we also have to realize that we can err. Go out there and succeed but dont forsake the Maker either.

Think And Grow Rich is easier to assimilate, and by no means is a sales letter. When I see people like this I can't help to say: The only people whose words I trust nowadays are those of Bob Proctor, Richard Bandler, and Ross Jeffries. No Quarrel with you Mr Vitale.

I have to say I actually agree with Joe here.
I've read both books more then 20 times each, and found out that the book "Think and grow rich" is just a compendium of "the laws of success", which describes Hill's principles.

I think their is a secret in the pages of this book and that secret is "DESIRE", .People who make money have a Subconscious conviction ie DESIRE to do so they have convinced their Subconscious through this Mechanism of DESIRE that they will be wealthy and once the Subconscious believes it manifestation begins

Where does Napoleon Hill use the expression "Law Of Attraction" in the book "Think And Grow Rich".? I cannot find it in there either in my own copy or using Amazon's "Look Inside" feature.

@robert2957 he's termed the law of attraction as auto-suggestion. and if you want to really read where he mentions the law of attraction then download laws of success.

am not so sure, cos there is many people that have read think grow rich and became successful probably without reading hills other books. But i aint going to argue with Joe cos i think u gota keep learning

Great review and perspective, Joe. I find that a great many people who love and recommend TAGR have actually never read -- or even discovered -- "The Laws of Success", the larger work on which TAGR is based.
Incidentally -- and just as an aside -- I cannot find where Hill ever used the term "law of attraction" in any of his works. I know there are several edited versions of his book available so it's possible it's just not in any of mine.

Dr Vitale is correct with mentioning the "Laws of Success" (2 books). A lot more information about attracting success in all categories. Here is a comment:
Let us keep in mind the fact that all success is based upon power, and power grows out of knowledge, that has been organized and expressed in terms of ACTION.
As DR Vitale says "The Universe likes Speed", (take action)!
