I did look closely at Ron Paul and I even donated over $200 to his campaign but the closer I looked the more I saw that he talks the talk but doesn't walk it. He still is a member of the Republican Party and he is completely un-electable. That's a good thing because if he were elected, he'd be a complete disaster. Hi Jer....We could send all of our troops to Afghanistan and couldn't win in that Country. They have been waging war and killing their own for 100's of years. They are not a peaceful Country. Nor is their religion necessarily peaceful. The laws or the lack of laws create a great hole in the Islamic religion.

Obama fell to the pressures of the Generals on the battlefield. And telegraphing a withdrawal date makes it even sadder. By the way the Mayan Calendar is correct. 12/21/2012. The End.

The thing is, sending more guns will never save more lives. Afghanistan is not a battle ground between the US and terrorist. The reason for the fighting is the rebellion of the civilians watching their friends and families killed. They are doing what they have to in order to survive. They are doing what they think is all they have left. The only was to save lives is stop the fight. not stimulate it.

Not quite sure what Obama's plan is with sending all of those additional troops. Hopefully using them now means we won't have to worry about an Iran invasion to hear about for another 8 years. I was actually a bit concerned hearing that there were another 30,000 troops in reserve for the USA given how quickly they claimed to of wanted to end the war in the Middle East. I can't help but think this is the beginning of a third war over there. Check off Afghanistan and Iraq...
