it is sunlight hitting some of the highest moisture in our atmosphere. Even though the light of the sun travels in all directions, when it hits the moisture in our atmosphere, it refracts the light. Kind of like, a rainbow appearing just after it rains, or when you manage to get the spectrum in the hose water when spraying the lawn. Luckily this guy got good timing, to spot, as it obviously can only be spotted at the right time.

Lucky to see? beautiful? Are you freakin NUTS? Those skies are filled with aerosal spraying, nothing beautiful about it, that shit is toxic. Common occurence on heavy spray days. Are you people blind? Can you not see those planes up there are spraying chemicals in the atmosphere? That spread into clouds that cause the sun to loo like this, you can't see it? You guys are dumb!!!First of all it's not called a sun halo it's called a sundog!!! It happens when hexigon shaped ice crystals are in the upper atmoshere!!!! Aleast use your prior knowledge!!!!!!!!
