  • I still watch this show. I like the reruns. Too bad they dont make new episodes...

    Andy Griffith Is Awesome!

  • The show stunk after Nancy, Julie, & Clarence left.

  • Actually, this intro is from seasons 4-6.

  • Wrong jdulmage1 Perry Mason paved the way for Matlock and those other courtroom dramas. There will be no other than Raymond Burr is Perry Mason.

  • RIP Andy Griffith.

He's not dead, but I just wanted to be the first to say it.

Somebody beat me to the Tom Bosley and Barbara Billingsley RIP.

  • I used to watch this when I spent summers with my Mema. It's been a long time since I've heard the intro song but I'd put this on my iPod. :)

  • @WWEFan7786

Hahaa! Yeah , my Grandaddy loved it to.

  • @jayce79 My grandparents loved it as well!!

  • @money7373

    My dad still loves it.

  • I watched this all the time with my mom, when I was younger. Liked every bit of it.

  • Nancy Stafford = Ooooo La La !!

  • who's the 1 jackoff that doesn't like this

  • @WWEFan7786 My mum loved this show and never missed a second of it.

  • Dang, just one of the many reasons I'm looking to buy all the seasons of this show that I can. Personally, this is still my favorite lawyer show, although there have been other good ones.

  • This theme rocks.

  • How many daughters did he have on this show? They seemed to change every season.

  • @Mah81 man like him get a thousand ho's every week it's hard to keep track of his offsrping

  • I like the old tv shows, where good always triumphed over evil. Mr Griffith and Clarence Gilyard Jr. were terrific! I also enjoyed Clarence in Walker, Texas Ranger.

  • Who do you think would win: Ben Matlock or Perry Mason. I'm a fan of both of these lawyers.

  • This matchup would be more appropriate: Matlock vs. Law & Order's Jack McCoy. Now that would be a battle: a top defense attorney against a top prosecutor!

  • @jsrosa1282 I'd pay big money to see that. I think Matlock would do it, he fights to the bitterest of ends.

  • they don't make sick themes like this anymore. this and Murder She Wrote, crazy amazing themes

  • This kind of music takes me to places I want to be. LOL

  • I'm about to turn 22 and I've always, and still do, love this show

  • ahahahahahahaha they shole do

i found this show boring i really did

  • Today's shows are pretty good, but the classics like this I grew up watching with my relatives are the ones I'll always remember.

  • That's the exact same feeling I get.

Whenever I go to my grandmother's apartment, we watch Matlock from 3:00 to 4:00 and it's been that way as long as I can remember.

  • if i were you, i wouldn´t mess with matlock ;)

  • I used to pull my pants up above my nuts and dance to this.

  • Yeah, didn't everybodys!

  • Gilyard appeared in almost every show on NBC, after he was hired. No question why Matlock needed Conrad's help.

  • lol it kind of does have that grandparents feeling

  • This intro was for seasons 4, 5, AND 6.

  • We all know Clarence got along great with his fan, Andy Griffith, esp. when Andy (himself) was difficult to work with, but despite of Kene's (Tyler Hudson, not Tim) drug/alcohol problems, did he actually get along with Andy, or was he in the same boat as Andy was?

  • Kene had a lot of trouble getting along with his castmates, despite of his problems.

  • Matlock would be a great name for a Rapper

  • You're right!! Anyways, Clarence was almost seen in every Matlock episode for his three seasons, after replacing Holliday, was because this series actually made him a star, before doing "Walker, Texas Ranger." Other of Andy's co-stars, were given limited appearances.

  • Well no doubt he would show up because he was Matlock"s private investigator. He did much better than Tim Hudson.

  • Awesome show

  • This was the season where Clearance Gilyard Jr. replaced Kene Holliday. Holliday was fired from "Matlock" b/c of his drug problems. Unfortunately Gilyard later left "Matlock" to star on CBS's "Walker, Texas Ranger."

  • Although hard an act as it was to follow Kene Holliday, Gilyard was awesome!
