  • The controls are very trick-ae.

  • It's funny to watch this because i'm the only person who'se into this kind of stuff at school and it's weird to me how everyone back then thought that this was the shit :P

  • 2:21 hey, it's Mr. Bean!!! :D

  • Its funny how the Lynx is still popular....

  • just waitin for the kid to seh"y killed me bird y bastd"

  • Is he even playing at all?

  • thats some bad acting

  • I'm pretty sure this is the only console ever made for both right and left handed people. You could flip it upside down which is why theres an A and B on both sides of the system. It's a piece of crap lol, but atleast atari took left handed people into consideration. (use it as a batarang, it'd be much more fun then playing it)

  • They don't even sound interested in the game at all : |

  • if the psp was big like that graphics would be as good as the ps3

  • obviously they are acting and obviously they never heard of Nintendo or Sega back then

  • this is all mental

  • Is that a LYNX in your pocket? or are you a fag?

  • OMG THE CROWBAR!! IS GORDON FREEMAN THERE?

  • Wow, I can't believe an old 8-bit handheld is outputting graphics like that.

  • @vio2112 It was 16 bit. Somewhat ahead of it's time.

  • @vio2112 Ha

  • @vio2112 great handheld i got this before it was released in uk with california games. also used as a weapon lol

  • such a big device for a small screen compare it to the ds or psp its amazing.

  • Videogame reviewing has never really topped this. How did this show not run forever?

  • 0:47 "tha graphics are pretty" ... YOU NEED GLASSES U DUMB PIECE OF SHIT IM PRETTY SURE UR MOM GAVE BIRTH TO YOU THRU HER ANUS

  • Actually is the first model of the Lynx. The second version was much better built and was great to play.

  • The Lynx is one freakin' huge console for a handheld

  • I had something of a hopeless crush on the girl at 1.03 (and 1.37). I used to watch this every week just to see her!

  • Did you actualy READ what he posted? He HAD as in past tense, More than likely he was around the same age as her at the time.

She's probably only in her 30's now. Hardly 'old fart'

  • @UncleFeedle You obviously never saw the Games Mistress on Gamesworld on Sky1 then! Jet from Gladiators played her.

  • lol i have a lynx

  • The Atari lynx I beleive was the first colour handheld which was quite a novalty at the time

  • This is one of the nicest hand-held games I've seen for a whale, Aye!!!

  • lol! the Lynx is about the same size as that kid's face!

  • I bet these kids would totally freak out if they were able to play Silent Hill Origins on PSP after raving about the graphics of Dracula: The Undead on Atari Lynx. Of course, this was in 1992.

  • they payed him 5 bucks to say that

  • It was the first system that was backlit with a color screen and a 16 bit processor, this was way ahead of its time and actually had some good games. It just didn't sell, the Gameboy owned the market.

  • @ViciousAlienKlown understatement, at this time gameboy WAS the market...they sold 1000units an hour..every hour....for 11 years straight!

the lynx and the gamegear just couldt break into the market. i remember seeing the graphics on this thing after playing the gameboy for a bit..and i remember thinking this was basically a full console with a tiny built in screen..it was massive!

  • @ViciousAlienKlown

I thought the Gamegear was the first backlit handheld.

  • @krone900 No the Lynx came out before the Game Gear by a few years.

  • i remember seein' this piece of crap from one

    of my bro's friends..

it looked crappy, might as well play V-Smile..

  • NAMROOD!!!

  • diddnt know this system exsisted

  • Exactly. This system had no room in the gaming market.

  • really?

  • what would little kids know about sound effects and shit? this is more scripted than the bible

  • haha, Jerri Jackson

  • "You have to like these kind of games to enjoy this one!" Piss off!!! These kids used to do my head in!

  • how come ive never heard of lynx, is it cause i was born in 1995?

  • You make me feel old. I was your age when this was on telly. Back then the Lynx was technically the best handheld console. Except that it was the size of a breeze block, had very few good games, and the batteries lasted just about two hours. PSP eat yer heart out!

  • LYNX was a battery eater!!.I was very, very lucky if i got 2 hours battery life out of it(Even using Alkaline!).

Games were brilliant though!..My favourite was "Gates of Zendocon."

  • What's stronger in batteries? Alkaline or Lithium?

  • I realy think that the Ion-Lithium would be longer lasting but if only they had the (AA-Ni-MH at 2100mah or higher)when the Lynx was out!.Also they are now producing the newer (Oxyride) batteries that have twice the capacity of standard Alkalines.

For High drain systems like digital cameras i definately recommend NiMH batteries as they maintain their power better i find.Hope this helps.

  • It does, thanks.

  • @BadInfluenceWebsite yes friend I m old like you, but we have enjoyed the beautifull age of commodore 64 amiga atari 520 st first speeaking game that was so impessive at that time. now children of today nothing impress they. you remaber the old 80's horror movie with tomato an lattice effects that was cinema with real artist now everything is made with computer even the cartoons

  • @BadInfluenceWebsite Don't forget the PC Engine GT too. The Lynx did have some amazing games, but not enough of them.

  • Born in 95? Damn you are young.

  • It's actually a collectors item today, owing to it's status as the first colored handheld

  • yeah the lynx came out in 1989. So don't compare it with modern stuff compare with original game boy.

  • @xxGUNxxBLOODZxx It was born in 1989

  • "...because he wants to eat meh" Class!

  • the game reviewing kids sound like they should be on Kes.

"eeh by gum, i reet like this ere game. it luks like its bein at t' pictures and the noises are reet good like you would get on that there films. me mam says she would like to eat this ere game but ma brother wants to train it and make it race w' other games like wippets."

  • i am an american, but i do not like football although it is fun to watch on telivision! you people are probibly adults know? good review

  • dam these british were hardcore gamers back in the days

  • 35 quid! and to think the atari lynx was the height of technology!

  • i remember madden it is a classic on the megadrive

  • The controls are very trick-eh.

  • Stupid Americans! We invented football.

  • Aint that rugby?

  • I wonder if that ribbon on the side of the Lynx was a TV hook-up... Further more, would it be possible to buy/rig something like that specifically for the Lynx.

  • the kid at the start sounds like jerryjackson

  • Haha, the atari lynx, handheld my arse. Feel sorry that they gave it to one of the smallest kids, must've been knackered afterwards.

  • theyre english guys=?

  • yes

  • Madden 1 on the Megadrive was the first Megadrive game that blew me away back then!

  • I'm surprised kids could pick up that monstrosity of a console

  • the sega nomad, game gear and lynx are just such dinosaur tech gemstones.

  • Is it me or does the guy and the women look like their reading lines from a screen?

  • They're looking at the game they are playing on a tv screen in front of them.

  • their reading a script

  • I remember when britain had class in the 90's. Its now been ruined due to the overun of mobile phone shops which you can get from any shop and dont need a dedicated phone shop. In general in the early 90s landline telephones didn't require a dedicated store to buy them from. These mobile phone stores are detiorating cities and towns across the uk. THe uk is just becoming clone central with no individuality. Its a shame as england is loosing the good vibe it once had

  • the lynx is huge!

  • Christ, I remember nearly dying of jealousy when I saw the lynx on this show... Looking at it now..... wow, lol.

  • this was my favourite show whn i was a kid, i had them all on tape, chears for the upload!!

    p.s violet is hot

  • muf

  • that kid sounds like Jerry Jackson.

  • Of course they do!, although it was a rareity when this was made.

  • only good game for lynx was california games that i can remember playing. I never even bought the thing i just use to play it in philips store in england back in 1990 when i use to hang around the street all day long then go home later on in the evening. Who remembers the philips shops in 1990 in uk? Sk8rhb10 You are stupid to discriminate against a hairstyle.

  • when was curtains a popular hairstyle? I seem to remember it was very popular in the early 90s in england. Evryone used to have it and it is still good today. Does anyone else remember the popularity of curtains in england

  • ...curtains arent still good today...

if ur walkin down an alley at night and sum1 sees u have curtains... u will get oraly raped in the face

  • Well, it was a good RPG for the time. I just want to know what that ribbon cable sticking out of it was all about.

  • I've had this on video since I recorded it back in the day...I've always thought it was a lead that shows the Lynx on the TV set for the review!

  • Man it would have been good to see this close up to see how that was done. Getting a Lynx to display on a big screen is a dream of mine. :)

  • I wrote in to ask if there was anywhere I could buy one of these cable to show it on a tv screen - they replied that they were expensive and only really available to TV companies for reviews and so on. :(

  • The Lynx was a piece of shit and so was that game.

  • lol
