  • If I had a dollar for every pixel I'd have one dollar.

  • I tried as hard as I can to watch the video and all I could make out was a flying hashbrown.

  • was this filmed with a potato?

  • Watchin in 8-bit. Like a pro.

  • Was this recorded using a calculator???

  • Recorded with a turky sandwich.

  • which pixel is bubka?

  • how high is the record?

  • @snookyloogi indoor and outdoor are different. indoor is 6.15m and outdoor is 6.14 i believe, but that may be backward

  • I wounder how many poles have failed on him?

  • were is the copy right for this one?

  • this was prime time video quality back in the sixties

  • The ZAR

  • excellent quality. bravo

  • i am a track player in elem and highschool..........i remember then when pole vault was new in our country i enlisted myself ...but when i saw the vault i became afraid for it was my first time seeing it and when it was my turn they are announcing my name yet i hid....lol

  • I think people who pole vault are pretty cool cuz I could never do what they do and I think it requires hours and days of practice

  • @ItchyCacti it does take a while to get that good but some people r just naturally good at it so for them it takes (from my expirence) 2 months to get pretty good

  • I'm pretty sure the poster took "video compression" literally and used his hands.

  • wait ok....... im not good @ math, how much did he clear?

  • 379,000 viewer

  • @die0my0jay therefore it makes his record legit and again, makes you a dumbass.. We have people go for an inch over the record just so they can hold that title. You obviosly don't pole vault or you would know this

  • @die0my0jay you're a dumbass.. When going for a school record you can increase the height by inches if you choose to do so. We do it all the time in Southeast Kansas.

  • looks fun

  • Nice quality!!!!

  • we do one handed bupkuhs @ our skool... we get it frm him

  • @porklover101 you need upper body strength

  • Notice how he moves so fast when he gets to the pit and that powerful drive knee i just started but yeah i can see how he hold the world record

  • @porklover101 u need alot of core strength and form is key

  • what kinda of athletic skills do u need for this ? flexibility ? or is it all technique ?

  • @porklover101 a lot of technique, shitload of upper body strength to get a good bend, and absolutly no fear in ur mind. u have to have a "just do it" attitude"

  • @porklover101 hellllla upper body/shoulder strength

  • you need to be able tohave a nice pull up form with and abs workout

  • Core and upper mostly, but you do need to be able to sprint so that does require flexibility. But even if you have all that, if you have no technique in any way you will not go anywhere. If you are gonna start pole vaulting, try just setting up a hurdle on the runway and jump over it holding on to the pole. No need to put the pole in the box or anything just put it straight up grab as high as you can, move it away from you and jump. If you can't do that, pole vaulting is not for you. Lol

  • worst. quality. EVAR

  • worst spelling EVER

  • thanks, because I really didnt know how to spell it....

  • @peoplez91 dont whine just deal with it.

  • @Foxdye3 don't talk to me just deal with it.

  • your gay

  • Why do people always think there good at something cause of their age

  • Lol,

the pixels are like lego bricks!

  • wt a pole vaulter...

  • holy blurry video.

    but wow. thts friggin high.

  • this event looks fun but i never tried it

  • lol i cleared 6 in high jump.....

  • your gay unholy

  • i thought u have 9 dicks

  • the aussie went higher in da olypics

  • our middle school record is 11'6...how does an eighth grader do that?!?!?

  • Last year I cleared 11'6, this year 13'6, I started school a year early though so I was a sophomore this year, should have been freshman though. It's definately possible. Last year there was a kid in 9th grade who went 15'3. :o

  • wow

  • this is crap.. so much compression can't even watch it

  • but yet you still are...

  • bullshit, roggerrus13, im a sophmore(Varsity). and my PR is 12'6ft. plus i've been doin this 2 yrs now.

  • yo i'm a sophmore as well and my PR is 12" ft i started as a frosh.

  • all these bullshit clearances at bullshit ages..

"hey guys im in 5th grade i just cleard 12 feet"

    rofl why lie?

  • 7th grade and i cleared ten once but i usually get like 9 5

  • yeah now we know ur lyin cuz the usual height advancement is 6 inches or if u choose 3, but in the seventh grade you probably dontknow wat ur doinwell enough to change that therefore we know 9' 5" is a more then likley a false height.

  • man, it's like a bunch of little colored squares.

  • I'm an 8th grader with a pr of 9'6...I want to beat my school record before I move onto high school , which is 11' Which I think someone cheated.lol , but can someone give me some tips on how to get higher?=)

  • try holding on to your pole higher, taking a 7 step, and getting more speed!

  • also, be patient at the top, i got our school record cuz i finally slowed down and took my time instead of tryin to get off as soon as i reached wat i thought would clear it.

  • Na my school is different we are all good pole vaulters getting over 12 ft easy and are best guy last year got over 15ft.

  • im at! 10'6

i need 14 be4 the next two weeks!

    good luck me

  • all you new vaulters. everything is relative. if you cant get over eleven feet chances are you are straight vaulting (not bending the pole). Anyone can straight vault. I can, and im the laziest person. im competing at districts for my school on thursday, and i suck dick. Its relative. In my area, schools each have one really good vaulter, and a bunch of shitty ones anyone else like that?

  • yeah. my school has always been like that. when i was a freshman (2007) our senior pole vaulter got 17 or 18ft. it was ridiculous

  • holy.....yeah thats what all the schools in florida are like

  • yeah wow thats exactly wat my schools like

we have like one state champ and then the rest are like rlly not that good

  • 8th grade polevaulter!! :D i cleared 9'6 at my latest meet plan on getting 10" on monday and then 10'6 on thursday

  • i can barely even get up!

  • try viagra

  • im in 7th grade and can clear 9 ft is that good?

  • yeaaahhh ur either bsing or playing dumb

any 7th grader clearing 9 obviously has a coach telling him he's f*ing ballistic

  • i polevaulted all this summer, just had a meet today and cleared 7.6

  • im in 7th grade and i just learned how to vault. Its fun and ive been jumping for about 2 weeks on and off. i cleared like 6'9" or something a couple days ago.

  • dude not bad. im in 10th grade, and i cleared 9'6 on my 2nd week of vaulting.

  • in 9th grade just cleared 9'6

  • me too

  • omg i can barely do 7 feet :(

  • what is that horrible stench. o yeah its the bull shit pertruding from your mouth

  • Comment removed

  • this video is really poor quality.

  • Comment removed

  • some guy cleared 16'2" at my school.

  • my cousin has the wisconsin record of 16'8"

  • haha im still trying to clear 8

  • why couldnt he be english

  • sterroid on dis fukkin russian fraud

  • lol no the record is 20'1" 3/4 outdoors and 20'2" 1/4 indoors and bubka is still the only person who's gone over 20 ft

  • i just tried pole vaulting for the first time today. i consistently cleared like 8 feet... but i was jogging to the plant because i had just finished a big sprint ladder.

  • yeah fucking right!

  • 8 feet my dick! dude i am a sophmore and weight 170 lbs. I started pole vault this year and i'm 3 weeks in. i can only clear 9 feet. you are full of shit.

  • dude, seriously, he probably isnt full of shit, 8 feet isnt that hard. Some people are just athletes. The first time i ever vaulted was at a meet (my school doesnt have an indoor track and it was winter) i cleared 7.5 ft, then proceeded to clear 8 ft.

About a month in i could get 10' 6" once we started vaulting outside. (but i never got higher than that, the wind was at my back, and it was pretty lucky, then the season ended :( ) ive been at meets where a highschooler gets 17 feet.

  • no its impossible to learn the form in a day, this kid was just some idiot trying to sound cool and making shit up, like 99% of youtube users

  • dude... if he did a sprint ladder he's definately an athlete

we have a high jumper who decided to try pole vaulting this year, within his first day he was doing 8'6" or 9'

not remarkable for his size, and he didnt use form, just straight poling it

its not impossible nor that surprising, but impressive nonetheless

  • yeah i've seen people able to clear 9 on their first try, i remember a random football player came over and tried it and made it over 9, he had horrible technique though he like would land inches away from falling off the mat but it was awesome non the less i think he went to sprints though

  • wow...bad quality

  • VVV 100 meters?

CHYEAH OKAAAAY kid. whateverrr you say.

This guy^ is mad goood. imma polevaulter. I just moved up a foot today, i used to do 12, now i can to 13.2

    im only 15

  • 3 feet to go.Almost impossible

  • wow arent you cool, how does that make you feel?pretty cool huh?

  • dam man he is Good!

  • best qulity

  • Kev and I fuckin shit on that every day.

  • wow u do no thats a football field just about but longer

  • i saw a pole vault jump video where a guy nutted himself on the pole on the way down! ouch!

  • thanks but that has to be the shittiest quaility ever

  • bad quality

  • I can see my house from here! ooooh a mat! XD

  • The current record is 6.14 meters set by Sergei Bubka.

  • 6.15 m*

  • The outdoor record is 6.14m

  • wow that might not be the record anymore but thats still insanely high

  • Matt0286 is actually wrong on this one. The guy in that video is still to this day , the only one who's been able to reach 6m14. No one ever did better. He also did 6m15 indoors.

  • thats not even the record anymore...

  • Yes it is.

  • Wow! That looks so cool.

  • 5.92 meters = 19.42 feet

  • Id be terrified that id land on top of the pole as it was standing straight up.

  • i would be scared of sliding down the pole before getting up and poking myself in the eye

  • I feel like an idiot saying this, but can anyone tell me what 5.92 meters is in feet? (I have been trying to learn the whole metric system on my own but I have not found the time.

  • 1 metre is about 3 feet, so it's around 18 feet (a bit less).

  • it is exactly 19.42, cause 1 feet = 0.348 meters

  • That's so crazy! He's like vaulting with a telephone pole.

  • leathal

  • Worst quality I've ever seen

  • i can jump that high lol

  • He was the best ever! i also vaulted late eighties 4m 40cm at best, i watched training videos of his , he was devestating in the gym and punished himself and paying for it now!, hes written a lot about his training years and how it destroyed him.......maybe it was the roids?

  • 20' 1.25" is bubka's record last time I checked. He's so awesome.

  • dang imagining missing match from that hieght owch ...

  • What a great cock n' balls!!!!

  • i guess that could be a useful skill if you ever needed to jump over a cliff....

  • how did you get such a good quality video

  • lol.

  • phone camera i suppose

    ahahah

  • da record at my skool is 16,0 ft

  • Ukrainian pride lol

  • my idol

  • You just wasted your life by posting comments shittier than this video.

  • And theres another 2 seconds wasted...

  • I never denied it was shitty, infact i acknowledged it, "fuckface".

  • do you know who this man is? he is the best jumper to ever hold a pole.

  • omg alright...how about u just say plz dont make fun of this vid; i find it very awe-inspiring...i was making fun of the quality of the vid rather than pole vaulting in general holmes. i run track(actually jump) myself so i do have quite a bit of respect for the sport.

  • ...didnt realize u were a diff. person...obviously jeeao was just looking for an argument

  • poll vault is prolly THE FUNNEST thing to watch in person

  • wow lol my coach bitches to us to keep our arms straight when we jump b/c that makes us bend the pole and says that we cant be a pole vaulter if we dont bend the pole

  • Your coach is right. my first me one jump I bent a pole 20 lbs over my weight and from my perspective flew over the bar at 8' 9" (yes I know that is low).

  • Lol. 8'6" is our school record. We don't really have pole vault though (No poles or place to practice), but I'm going to try and beat it next year.

  • the girls record at our school is like 11"...

  • lol thats funny guy below me

  • more than a man.... more than a machine.... more than a beast.... HE IS A BUBKA

  • my friend has a vaulting shirt that says it takes a good plant to get high

  • hahaha i need to get that shirt

  • haha we were gonna make that for our pole vaulters

then we were gonna mix them with us shot putters and say "with 15 foot poles and 12 pound balls, it's hard not to score"

  • omg...roflmaoqxz

  • dude the highest i had got was 10 in practice im a frosh and tomorrow is my first meet haha im getting pumped by watching these vids
