when i was little, i watched this movie nonstop and memorized all the lyrics to this song.
but now that i'm going off to college, i see a whole new meaning in it. like kiki, i'm going out into the world alone... and even though it's kind of scary out there, this song reminds me how important it is to have hope and to fly. :)
@siempreboricua08 I'm in exactly the same place. I just started my second semester of my Freshman year in college and I am so inspired to make the most of being on my own. I'm gonna fly higher than I ever, ever could.
I first saw this when I was 4 or 5, and I loved it so much. Last night, I watched it with my 8 year old sister, who happened to rent it. It was her first time seeing it. She said, "This looks familiar," I replied, "It's by Hayao Myazaki and Studio Ghibli: the makers of Ponyo."
Her face was like:
=o
=O
=D
Now she really wants a pet cat named Jiji... And she wants to see more Myazaki movies. ^_^
This song represents my life as I am going off to college in a few days and into the real world I want to be able to Fly and make a diference in the world!!!
Such beautifu lwords, such beautiful music, invigorates the spirit, makes us rmemeber that the world used to seem like it was at our feet The whole world is open and wide im looking at the clouds as I'm writing this and it brings me a strange sense of peace, like everything workds in harmony for one perfect moment. i rember watching these movies with my favorite grandmother when I was young. She's gone now, but I sitll cherish that
This song brings back such beautiful memories - watching The studio Ghibli movies (before even Spirited Away, when it was just porco rosso, totoro, nautica, kiki, etc.) with my favorite grandmother. The song's from Kiki especially symbolize the nostalgia for our childhood.
I was standing near the sea the other day, right on top of this really high cliff and I heard this song palying in my head - perfectley. It brings back memories, sadness that childhood's gone, but also a little hope for
I love this movie so much! I remember wanting to be just like Kiki when I was little :) The other day I found this movie when I was flipping through channels . I had forgotten how good it is and now I'm glad I remembered again. I love it so much!
I love how this song reminds me of an innocent youth. Childhood, when problems were only temporary and could be chased away just looking up at your parents who could do no wrong. A wonderful portrait of how innocent and hopeful childhood truly is.
I whole heartedly with you toastedemoninja it does erase the drama the heartache.. I wish I owned the movie.. Wonder how much it would cost to get the originals for castle in the sky, kiki's delivery service, a lot I guess.. Need to start saving up then..
I love this movie! I dont know how but at the end of this movie when this song was playing It made me feel so unbelivebly warm n stuf all over. complete bliss ^.^ signs of a grate movie ^.^
When i was small every sunday my mom would go to the flea market and would buy as a movie. One sunday we asked for the movie "3 ninjas" but when she got home she brought KIKIS DELIVERY SERVICE!!! What the hell is kikis delivery service??? I was extremely upset for not getting the movie i wanted, but then I watched the "stupid" movie, and guess what? I LOVED IT, i was around 10 at the time, now im 24 and still watch this amazing film. GO KIKI!!!
I love this song, I got the Japanese version I miss this song. It reminds me of my childhood. I'm actually crying. God I miss those days. Just playing out in the yard after watching Kiki's Delivery Service, trying to fly on old brooms I found in the Kitchen... :)
Whenever i was down as a kid I wuld put in one of my VHS movies and watch the preview for this movie just to hear this song. (I was never able to get the movie back then as a pre-kindergardener) It made me cry and smile at the same time. Now 10 years later I have the movie (On VHS too) and I watch it like it's going out of style. ^^ Kiki helped me so much and that was just from a preview!! XD
this song brings so many memories back to me. It's a truly magical movie that always had and always will make me feel like I wanna fly. Everytime I'm feeling down, this song will always remind me of my carefree childhood...Thanks much for this upload :)
I love this song! I just got the new DVD cause I had it as VHS when younger, but it was destroyed in a hurricane. I was so horribly upset when they changed it back to the original Japanese version...Not that they're bad, I just loved the English songs better. V.V At least I can still find it here...
@MeXLuffy : You got watered down Disney re-release like I did. Your best best is to check Itunes or Amazon for an album by Sydney Forest. By the gods I miss the old days when we had record stores.
I'm 17, and this movie still makes me feel like I could fly if I wanted to. lol It erases the drama and stress in my life and makes me feel like a happy carefree little kid again. Ghibli films are magical.
(By the way, please, no one say "O i no were 2 get pm3's for utube ill show uu!!!!!!!!11!11!1!111SHIFTONE". I hate when people say that. Yes, you know. Everyone else does, too. I don't like doing that; it makes me feel like it's not the actual song. I have OCD, sue me.)
Kiki's Delivery Service was one of the first and best animes i ever watched. i would watch it every chance i got when i was little, and i still do today for the story, teh hope and joy it gives me and for the wonderful music like this piece here.
lol i remember trying so hard to look like kiki when i was little, i searched high and low for a ginormous red bow like hers and a little puple-ish black dress like hers.
i luv this movie!! i remember seeing a preview on tv and was like i remmeber that. i must of saw it like when i was really young. i luv this song though it is so pretty and makes me smile. lol i so wish i could be like kiki but thats fantasy lol. i just wacthed this the other night on youtube and it was awsome. and btw spirited away is soo awsome too.
OMG this movie was my first anime movie and one of my all-time favorite childhood movies. When I watched it yesterday it brought back sooo many memories and this song makes me teary-eyed at the end.

I love Kiki's Delivery Service. It's been my absolute favorite movie for years now. <3

What I love about this song is how it affects everyone that has ever listened to it or watched the movie.
It inspires hope, imagination, happiness, joy; everything that we had as young children and seemed to have lost a little bit.
