Laut Wiki kommen die Euros frühestens im Herbst.

"Am 26. Juni 2007 wurde mit dem Bau des Simulatorgebäudes für das neue Mehrzweckkampfflugzeug Eurofighter begonnen. Ende 2012 sollen die ersten 6 von geplanten 35 Jets auf dem Fliegerhorst Wittmundhafen stationiert werden. [...] Der Flugbetrieb mit der F-4F Phantom II soll ab 2014 endgültig eingestellt werden. 2010 sind noch 45 Stück der F-4 Phantom auf dem Fliegerhorst stationiert."

@Reichskaiser96 ... wenn die Phantoms mit laut brüllenden Triebwerken über unserer Köpfe hinweg ziehen .... oh ja das habe ich auch oft erlebt u meine ohren angelegt ... konnte kaum die cam halten .... besser waren aber die totnados von upjever ... wenn die den nachbrenner reingehauen haben ging so richtig der bär ab ... schade das da nix mehr zu sehen ist .... sind in wtm schon die eurofigter .... war länger net da aber nach ostfriessland zieht es mich immer ... es ist mein traumziel ....

ist super dort .... war schon oft dort da gibts immer was zu sehen u man kommt sehr nahe drann .... ist auch keine seltenheit das mehrere starten .... ich hab mal 7 kurz nacheinander erwischt ...

Ich bin auch schon oft da gewesen, da mein Vater der Chef-TOffz der Wartungsstaffel dort ist. Obwohl ich die Phantoms schon dutzende male starten sah, finde ich, ist ein Start dieses Flugzeuges das schönste, was man sehen kann. Schöner noch ist aber ein Überflug, wenn die Phantoms mit laut brüllenden Triebwerken über unserer Köpfe hinweg ziehen

Why did Zee-Germans change the ORIGINAL nose wheel configuration from DUAL wheel to single? I think that McDonnell & Douglas did a fine job with the original design. I wonder if they replaced the UBIQUITOUS and proven J79's as well?

i worked on f4e s  1985-1987, then they replaced them with the lawn darts f16s i was a crew chief in the USAF also.

I know there are newer, more advanced fighters, but not many of them can Thunder at 1,400 miles per hour. The F4 remains my personal favorite jet fighter. Thanks for posting, Captain!
