@MrForeverReal Yeah, it's a small pistol-great to carry though. You can carry it all day and you dont even know it's there. I highly recommend this gun for conceal carry.
Your video is very concise. Thanks for giving me something to compare rapid fire rates to. I've got a p238 which, for previous commenters about the trigger pull and lack of slide lock, is single action with thumb safety and last round hold open. The trouble is, it costs nearly double the LCP. Personally, really like the LCP. Add Crimson Trace laser grips and you have a truly great defensive CCW.
i have shot both, i personally carry the LCP but my wife likes the p238 because of the ease of tigger pull and slide pull. LCP is all business and the p238 is the same way in just a different manner.
True the trigger pull isn't for everyone. But with no external safety, the long trigger draw and DAO are needed to prevent accidental discharges. Great CCW gun I love mine!
yes a stock P-64 is not the best choice all you need to do is 3 things to make it worth while. Polish the feed ramp, replace the recoil spring with and extra power wolff spring and replace the trigger spring with a reduced wolff spring. Yes ammo is a little harder to come buy ( i hand load my own ) but it has 3 advantages over the lcp. Slide stays open on the last round. double/single action. A safety. And relitively cheaper in price.
Every video I have watched I see that there is no hold open on the last round. I think that is a big negative also I have heard that the lcp is picky about ammo. Also a double action only semi-auto... doesnt that kind of defeat the perpous??? It looked like a good gun at first but the more I looked into it the more I wanted to stay away form it. Id rather stick with my Radom Polish P-64 in 9x18mm makarov and thats saying something.... Just my thoughts and my opinion.
just bought my lcp today, maybe i got a defect but its junk. i have 2 p-series rugers and absolutely love my p95. but when i rack the slide on my lcp it jams the round in between the slide and barrel i think there is a problem.
i could out run a 380 acp ;)

Does the slide not lock when its empty?
maqnchs 2 years ago
No, it doesnt. Their is a manuel slide lock though.
whatnot987 2 years ago
So you just dry fire when its empty or do u count ur rounds?
maqnchs 2 years ago
Either or, ive done both.
whatnot987 2 years ago
@maqnchs
I have one too. Unless you count the rounds you will dry fire it. Dry firing the LCP will not hurt it.

I'll have to look into that! It is one of the slimest semi-auto's I've ever seen!

A P-64???? Are you kidding me???
I guess you love that double action trigger pull!!!! LOL =]
rugersix 3 years ago
nothing like a wolff spring kit to clean it up... makes the double action feel more like that of any noremal semi auto.

Is this Ruger single action?

DAO

I'm still debating as to whether I want one of those or not. I understand they fixed the trigger issues! Did yours get recalled?

LOVELY..I think I might get me yet another Ruger and that very one for a backup.
Ruger LCP .380 is next on my list.
hows the recoil on that little booger?
twisted62380 3 years ago
recoil isnt bad...like shooting a 9mm. It's as loud as a 9mm too.
whatnot987 3 years ago
The recoil isn't bad at all. I'm not what you'd call a sharp shooter, but even an amateur like me is able to get good groupings with this thing.
