Well not long had this MFJ atu it's my first ever, I've always used resonant antenna's
I'm quite impressed with it and even more now I know how to read it properly, I thought I had read the manual but I must have missed that part.
I guess the Hex I had made before this one which I thought was 2.1 was maybe 3.1 then, but I did put the 990 on swr setting when checking the Moxon with the MFJ and I remember it reading 1.5 so it seems they don't check out the same swr reading. Many thanks
Very nice video Byron. However, you are not interpreting the SWR reading on your meter correctly. The right hand needle was pointing to 1.5 which you interpreted as 1.5 to 1 SWR. The SWR is determined by the point at which both needles cross, which in your case was 2 to 1 SWR.
