Haha, Half a Million is now..... millions. Best marriage proposal i have ever seen, i havent proposed to my girlfriend, not for a while, so hopefully this will give me some inspiration. :)
@kooslap, there is no rule that says living together first means divorce later. I have been with my boyfriend for almost seven years. we own a house and business have a beautiful two year old and never leave the house without saying I love you. never married. never going to. and we are happier than each and every married couple we are friends with. I'm not saying people should not get married but it is not a death sentence for you relationship if you chose to live together first.
Sounds like they're living together in sin. At the 5:33 minute mark, the announcer asks if she's getting ready for work..... later on he mentions about divorce and they laugh about it. But the reality is, people who live together before marriage are more often (statistically) likely to get a divorce.
@kooslap Really? I would have thought that because you have been living with your partner beforehand it would help your marriage because you have lived with them already and know you get on with them and want to live with them. I know of couples that wished they lived together before hand because they now know they can't stand living in the same house. Whereas other couples i know, who lived together before they got married are happy with no signs of change.
@SuperPops1ckle I live in Quebec, one of THE highest divorce rates in the industrialized world. Living in sin (cohabitation... for the politically correct folks :) ) will tend to unite 2 people based on interdependence and necessity of the financial and sexual kind. Also, even if someone gets married AFTER having had premarital sex with their partner (even if they didn't live together with them), the statistics also show similar breakup results. True love begins with TRUE respect and TRUE honor.
