だが、家にいた夫は、妻が抱えている果実を見て「この子たちは本­当のお母さんの

元へ返してあげなさい」と悲しい顔で告げた。その果実とは「双子­の赤子」

だったのだ。しかし時既に遅く、家の外には亡骸となった熊（双子­の母親）

が、ミルクの入ったガラスの小瓶と7ともに横たわっていた。

Okay, Len and Rin are Meiko's children. Miku sees them as "apples xD" and finds them in the forest one day. Meiko runs after them because they are her children, but Miku sees Meiko as a bear. Miku shoots the bear and returns home. Her husband, Kaito, explains that the "apples" are actually children and need to go to their mother, but Miku killed the mother. Then It shows what really happened thats what the flash back was.

@Himori21 No, it's not necessarily that. You're right about them being Meiko's children, but Miku saw them as being babies from the beginning. She says in it that taking the fruits home would bring her and her husband happiness, since, as the husband later says, they have no children of their own, since their children had died. Miku was so desperate that she stole someone else's children, thinking that doing so would bring her and her husband happiness.

@Himori21 I was partially thinking that the way they used the bear for Meiko was symbolism, something like this: "In Germanic culture, the bear was a symbol of the warrior, as evident from the Old English term beorn, which can take the meaning of both "bear" and "warrior"." So perhaps Meiko was ready to fight to get her babies back? ...or something like that. Perhaps bear and woman are even the same word in Japanese or something, I have no idea about that. x3

Yesh, they are.

Story: Miku does find two "fruits" in the forest, and takes them from the bear. She gets chased to her house, and apparently she escapes from the bear. But when her husband (Kaito) tells her that their real children are dead, Miku realizes that the two fruits are the bear's (Meiko's) babies. But it's too late to return the babies due to the fact that Meiko is dead. In the second story, it's about Miku and Kaito abandoning Rin/Len in the forest.

As Rin and Len are wandering around, they become a bit "deranged" and somehow wander back to their old house. Then, they kill the "witch" (Miku) and her henchman (Kaito) thinking that they are what they saw them as. I think they stay a bit deranged but stay in that house. I don't know much 'bout the ending, but this is my take on this story. o3o
