I agree, here in oklahoma (near okc) its the worst. I don't mind people in the fast lane, its people in the fast lane going the EXACT speed as the person beside them. And never EVER going a different speed from them, whether it be 10 under or the exact speed limit. It happens everywhere, I get so much road rage driving to work 8-10 miles per hour under the speed limit, its a wonder I haven't lost my sanity.

There are many interstate highways that DO have signs up saying 'slower traffic keep right.' I think tho that they are talking about people who go under the speed limit. It is a nuisance when you get behind someone in the left lane doing 55 when the speed limit is 65. Either pick up the pace and do the speed limit or flow of traffic, move over to the right or get your butt tailgated or even worse run over because you are too ignorant to do the flow of traffic.

My complaint (and this has happened) is when I am in the left lane and just passed someone and then someone comes bombing up behind me and even though I am clearly signalling that I am going back into the right lane the one behind me whips into the right lane and blows past me like I'm standing still. Sometimes when I go in the left lane to pass the idiot I'm passing speeds up and pulls ahead of me again. All other drivers are Nucking Futs!

Slow drivers are bad, but it seems to be ok for ppl to speed these days. I get so tired of going the speed limit when Mr. Nobody in his over-sized SUV gets right up on my ass just cuz he wants to go 10-20 over. I let him go around, vindictively waiting for him to get pulled over, but it never happens. The only satisfaction I get is when I get to the traffic light, which has conveniently turned red, and he is sitting there. I guess speeding didn't really get you there any faster did it?

Haveing experiance driveing in a few different countries ( France, Germany and good ol US of A ). I have found that highway drivers are worse in the States than in any others. In Germany it is the law that you cannot be in the left lane unless u are passing. You can be fined quite an amount for "camping" in the passing lane. Mostly because of the unlimited speed limit. That is the reason european traffic moves much bettter on smaller roads than the it does in the states( Paris traffic SUX)

In Michigan, all lanes are passing lanes, and the speed limit is simply a suggestion. If you follow the speed limit, especially if you're on a <50 mph speed zone, you will piss off other drivers.

What I always have to deal with which drives me insane is when there not going fast enough so I try to pass in the right lane but as soon as they see me trying to pass they speed up and won't let me. My #1 complaint are those that are in the left lane going only 50 when the speed limit is 60 and you pass them on the right, only to see them yacking away on their cell phone. The look on their face is as if they are at the kitchen table, on the sofa or at work in their office with legs up on the desks....anyone agree? THESE PEOPLE ARE VERY DANGEROUS!

I can't stand when slower traffic doesn't move right. I've seen accidents causes by these people driving slower than the flow of traffic and refusing to yield.

My next complaint would be the people that don't maintain a steady speed. I drive a truck and I'll drive the speed limit and it never fails that I end up stuck behind someone who keeps varying their speed.

if you are driving somewhere, chances are, you are trying to get somewhere. same can be said of other people in cars. speed limits are put in for safety purposes. unless you are a cop or of a medical field tending to an emergency, there is no need for you to be speeding. if you are going to be late, that is your own fault. aggressive drivers are usually the ones that cause accidents causing lanes to be closed down and severely reducing the flow of traffic.

I'm in NJ, and I agree. We have 3-4 lane highways everywhere, but the slow people still want to cruise in the left lane. It's ridiculous. Just let the speeders do what they want and get out of their way. NJ cops, at least the state troopers, don't really care that much about your speed as long as it isn't more than 20-25 mph above and you aren't weaving. In NJ the most important thing is that traffic keeps moving. Just drive to the right if you don't want to go fast. You'll still get passed tho.

most accidents occur when ONE person is driving faster or slower than the speed of traffic. When a low person gets in the left lane...the fast lane...THEY are in the way of everyone else, and THEY are going slower then everyone else, which means they are more likely to cause an accident. Most people that enter the fast lane are all going around the same speed, fast. Leave them alone, move over. If you want to be "safer" then stay in your lane.

jasamurai, the problem with idiots in the left lane is that they can't even keep their speed constant. When I'm taking a trip, I drive 10 mph over because I'll get there an hour early and be less tired (and therefore more safe) when I get there. When I drive locally, I go the speed limit. At all times, I use cruise control. No matter what, I get behind people whose speed varies from 15-20 under going up hills to 10 over going down. L2drive.

wrong ulul- the left lane does mean u can speed- just not in front of a cop- if u are not a cop, then u have no right to tell or enforce anyone elses driving... left lane = fast lane = pass lane. If you are in the left lane and not passing someone, then you are slowing someone down (not everyone is as scared of a speeding ticket as you)- SO GET THE F*** OVER!!!!!!!

I love it here in Greensboro North Carolina which is a fairly large city. People drive at least 15-20 mph OVER the speed limit and it is accepted just like in Charlotte. So you old geezers move your gigantic boats out of the way!

In some states, like NJ. Not all states say that. Some say it's ok to drive in the left at the speed limit, not above. So it depends on where you are.

You are not the cops. The LAW for most states is: Keep RIGHT except to PASS, or Slower traffic KEEP RIGHT.
