Besides Choi Jung Hwa was democratically elected as President of the International Taekwon-Do Federation at the 2001 ITF congress. However, Choi Jung Hwa wished it so that his father remain the ITF president for a further 2 years. This was not to be, as our founder sadly passed away less than 12 months later.

@dygol There are 4 and only 4. their headquaters are located in Canada, NORTH KOREA, and two in Austria. the two in Austria are having aggressive talks to come together, so thats good news for any ITF member

@AndersonChan84 Tran quan won the right to put the crest and the TKD tree on their uniforms. not all of ITF. GM Choi tried to trademark the crest and tree to ITF which he lost. He is still the rightful leader of ITF Tae Kwon Do. But this is not the place to argue about politics. I train ITF Tae Kwon Do as do you so who cares.
