I love how some of these comments people are saying "Kaspersky failed to detect this and that" I'm sorry but there is no such thing as Anti-Virus Software that catches 100% of malware. If you think your Anti-Virus is any any better think again. Kaspersky is top rated year after year, I personally used it for several years now and never had issues and it blocked everything I ever threw at it, but like everyone other Anti-virus it does not block 100% of malware. BTW configuring it right helps too.
all antiviruses suck no matter which i used i got viruses and it bugged the hell out of me with messages even saying that my own ip tryed to attack me the best security i say is use only pages from google and if you do get into trouble format your disk or use norton ghost or something
i have never EVER used an anti virus program, find them to be a pain the the rear. just not being a retard on the internet prevents 99% of internet std's (especially virtual aids)
Eset Smart Security is the best HANDS DOWN! and it has a small footprint, BitDefender is one of the worst, but Kaspersky is probably the worst! You use what you want to, but for me, its Eset all the way!
I installed Kaspersky Internet Security 2010 last night. Does this mean my computer is safe for internet banking or is there anything else i need to do?
Cyberdefender is the best! get the full version for only 30 bucks! It finds stuff that not even bitdefender or kaspersky can find. I only trust cyberdefender!
@madsantos i ran into alot of files that BitDefender catches and Kaspersky doesnt. and look at this KIS2011 review. it failed BIG TIME! watch?v=GzTaoB4S0jY
I wont get one sweet.I use is avirua antiviruse cmodo firewall addmuncher the bestaddremovel it the best its advance to say here, spybot spybot I scan with 5 atispyware at one time .
Anyone can say they're certified by Microsoft. And I doubt that they'd call themselves "moneykidz1" either. And even if you were, Microsoft doesn't make AVG dumbfuck.
AVG purely sucks. No root kit protection. Bad virus detection. Better alternatives are free Microsoft Security Essentials, Avast 5, and Avira AntiVir. STAY AWAY FROM AVG!
Duh...no one wants AVG. But you put Kaspersky and Eset and Bit defender as a joke when they are completely better than Mcafee, Norton and Avast! fall in the excellent ones.
norton 360? fantastic! lol , you obviously don't know anything about computers.
bitdefender is the best without question but firewalls and antivirus is not enough...
you need to have at least 3 spyware scanners if you are a heavy downloader.. try
1.spyware doctor
2.counterspy
3.ashampoo anti spyware
spybot is good but not sufficient enough to remove rootkits and nasty spyware..at times cannot remove even after restarting. if u were to scan again you will see the same spyware time after time.
The best security you can get is an antivirus program(either a good free one like avast or eset) and a free firewall. The free firewalls are actually the best ones. Online armor, comodo, zonealarm are all free.
these are all good softwares, ive tried all of them. but the best is ZoneAlarm Extreme Security.... just search the net for "best internet security" or "top internet securities" or something like this. so find a toplist. ZoneAlarm is the first on most of them , but at leat in the top 5!

Personally I prefer KAV/KIS 09 but BittDeffender no way(ok never tried it but heard some bad things about it)!Why scan scan scan, when some anti-viruses have Proactive defence(i.e. KAV/KIS09)?I agree that scans should be done but not every few days...I do it every 1 months or when my computer slows down because of all things I download.
I would have to agree with this. Yesterday, I ran Spybot S&D on a customer's PC at a PC store I'm doing work experience at, found some viruses but none of the high-risk ones. Installed Malwarebytes and it got rid of the ones I was looking for.
Yeah, spybot s&d isnt exactly one of the best antispyware programs. I prefer malwarebytes and superantispyware. the last one got a strange name but its safe.
@n0rbM Superantispyware saved me when I clicked on a virus that just about ruined my PC.It's free though they ask for donations if you can afford it.I ran it and killed the Malware and was running fine half hr. later.
first, norton is proved to suck, and kaspersky own....dont post comment when you are too imature to write a comment without saying word like: gay,fag etc...
Actually, Norton Internet Security 2009 has proven to be pretty solid with a much better detection rate and faster scanning speed than Kaspersky. That's not to say that Norton didn't suck in the past (it absolutely did). NOD32 only has a slightly better detection rate than Kaspersky. But don't take my word for it, head on over to av-comparitives for unbiased tests of these popular anti-malware applications and form your own opinion. Melvin is the best! He has great abs!
i have firefox, i've had many girlfriends, latest of which, Rachel, I broke up with about 2 weeks ago and we had sex about twice which i'd say is good for someone 17, I do watch porn and jack off and jizz all over cause that's what guys do, and norton does suck donkey balls.
Many people don't recommend using two software at the same time but I use AVAST and AVG both together. They haven't caused any problem. It is like one or the other catches the worm.
You SHOULD NOT under normal use run Anti-virus scans every couple days. This would be a waste of time, not to mention, the wear on your Hard Drive. Some anti-virus software performs pretty serious Hard Drive scans. If you do this every couple days - your drive will not last long. Unless you are playing with a database of test viruses or something - scanning every couple months is plenty so long as you keep your anti-virus running in the system tray.
They are relatively cheap in price but they do the job as long as you stay out of hostile environment( like porn site, torrent site etc...)
You should get something that has password protection option. Means if you disable anything on that program, it will ask you for the password. That way no hacker can disable it.
I have used almost all Internet security suites, but Trend Micro is best among all. It was really fast in detecting threats and LOT less false positive notifications.
I've used Bitdefender for the last few years and found it to be be excellent.
The new 2009 suite is a little bit bigger than older versions and comes with a few bells and whistles that I wouldn't have personally bothered with, but apart from the Anti Phishing system being a little over zealous, it works great, runs quietly in the background and does exactly what it says on the box.Its a great product.
I have got bt broadband full package witch comes with norton security center 2007. I am only 15 and have a custom built gaming pc with vista. Do u think norton would protect me and should i install it as we are all ready paying for it in full package. So is norton security center 2007 good to protect me on my computer. wat do u remcommend thx
I use KASPERSKY Internet Security Suite 2009 and it is wonderful. Ive tried Bit defender total security 2009 and its great, looks awesome but it slows my pc down a bit. I have a fast processor and plenty of ram.
i saw ur video on the best antivirus and i was wondering what about nod32? i have this and i like it but what do you like about bitdefender and kaspersky that nod32 doesnt have? if i were to switch from nod32 to one of these which would you recomend and why?
First of all KIS 2009 is the best and there's no doubt about it. Second, I don't understand who put you in your head that Spybot is a good anti spyware. It has a totally mediocre detection. Better getting SUPERAnti Spyware with Ewido anti spyware.
Hi Rodney, i would like to ask you what do you think about Apple and specifically Machintosh machines, have you ever tried Mac OS X? What's your opinion on how the hardware is made?
I must be doing something right as i have kaspersky and spybot s&d.
Think i will upgrade to bitdefender next.
The question i have for you is, I have the evga 790i ultra qx9770 2 9800gx2 and 8gb ddr3 OCZ Special Opz Edition 1333 Mhz. Now evga mobo only supports upto 1333Mhz Unless i use sli ready ram, ten i can go up to 2000Mhz.
i was thinking about getting a 9600gt, but i might get an 8800gt, but is the increase in price really worth it? its almost double here in the UK,....BUT the recently released HD4850 looks to be matching the 9800GTX in nvidia optimised games....and its the same price i would spend on the 9600gt!!!!!
also, i would like it to run with a 400w psu, and from what i have seen, all three cards seem to do that perfectly :)

no, just because I'm using alot of software doesnt mean that BD sucks.
Not an anti-virus alone can protect you from %100 of malware.
I have alot for multiple layers of protection.
And COMODO is WAYY better then Kaspersky and in some ways it's better then BD.

- AVG Free - all my customers have had no probs, whats so ever.
- - It's all on how you install your software and configure them.
- - ALL programs (except AV, sound, Int monitor) should be loaded on a NEED basis.

First of all KIS 2009 is the best and there's no doubt about it. Second, I don't understand who put you in your head that Spybot is a good anti spyware. It has a totally mediocre detection. Better getting SUPERAnti Spyware with Ewido anti spyware.

Kaspersky has saved my ass so many times. From Zlob Trojans, adware.admedia, you name it.

Hi Rodney, i would like to ask you what do you think about Apple and specifically Machintosh machines, have you ever tried Mac OS X? What's your opinion on how the hardware is made?
Bye!

Hey Rodney thanks for the info on the Antivirus.
What would you recomend i get.
Thanks

i was thinking about getting a 9600gt, but i might get an 8800gt, but is the increase in price really worth it? its almost double here in the UK,....BUT the recently released HD4850 looks to be matching the 9800GTX in nvidia optimised games....and its the same price i would spend on the 9600gt!!!!!
also, i would like it to run with a 400w psu, and from what i have seen, all three cards seem to do that perfectly :)
thank you!
davidsk8cat 3 years ago
If the price is almost double, go with 9600GT
deehoo 3 years ago
I got a 9800 GTX it was under $400 Au, you cant beat that!
Rowdyeh 3 years ago
in a few days they will drop price for the 9800 GTX to $199 because nvidia is releasing the new 9800 GTX+ in a few weeks time
