I really like the gun shot sound they used in this movie but it sucks how they changed it in "The World is Not Enough" and it sounds like crap if you ask me
Pierce has the best walk turn and shoot out of all the guys, Connery jumped too far, or crouched too low and looked like he was wobbling, moore was too slow in his turn, i would have been able to shoot him first if i was standing wit a gun pointed at him, Lazemby was ok, Dalton the same, Craig walks way too fast, the biggest thing of all, they all crouched, not Brosnan, he just walks up nice and cool, turns quick and shoots, without crouching, thats how i would do it.
@Lordcrazy16 completely agree, but by the way! :P In the early james bond movies with Sean. The "jumping" shoot out was not done by Connery. It was actually a man by the name of Bob Simmons who was a stuntman. Sean's first was actually in ThunderBall. But as you said it look like he wobbled too much and killed the coolness of it a bit, and the knee crouching one just seems a bit too dramatic. Brosnan has by far the best gunbarrel.
I like this sequence the best out of all the movies. This just sounds like how bond would want it to sound, its a bit slower with horns and great undertones, this is how every bond opening theme should sound, get rif of the techno crap and all that like in Goldeneye or TWINE and DAD
David Arnold is a horrid composer and I'm offended that he is still on the "Bond team". His scores give the films no atmosphere and he brings nothing new to the table. He continues to do the same old "Bond sound" every single film. It's bland, it's almost become a cliché it's been done so many times. He's got such a box-ticking approach to scoring Bond films. They're only functional, nothing more. When Barry was scoring, each film, had a distinctive sound, I can't say the same for Arnold.
@masterdesigner610 I'll tell ya what it is: It has something to do with the fact that the music, even the DADA DA DAAAAA part is really calm and shows how casual Bond is, even when in deadly mode. Which is why I think it's awesome too. I think this and TWINE are the best gunbarrels.
This almost seems like a step backwards from goldeneye. If you asked anyone which film did they think came first this or goldeneye theyed probably say this.
This is probably the best gunbarrel sequence of all time. The music is synched perfectly, its not too techno, the pose is brilliant, the gun shot sound is perfect, and the reflection is actually well animated.
This used to be among my least favorite gunbarrel. But now I think it's the best. The musical arrangement is excellent and Broson does the best gunbarrel walk, turn and shoot.
I could give you one by email. But i dont have the tomorrow never dies gunbarrel. I can use the goldeneye one with the tomorrow never dies song. Gunbarrel looks the same to.
@fandom05 Not really... like all of the Brosnan gunbarrels except for DAD, it uses a somewhat different arrangement of the Bond theme (Goldeneye uses the typical parts ("DA-DA dum DA-DA dum DA DA DA DA...") but moves them to subtle electronics).
In the beginning it sounds a bit like the GB sequence from The Spy Who Loved Me. My favorite GB sequence sound is the one from OP, AVTAK, TLD and DAD. The one from DAD sounds of course more futuristic but the pitch in the sound is the same from Moore's era (and Dalton's TLD).
5 THE BEST GUNBARREL
1. For You Only Eyes
2. Tommorow Never Dies
3. Live And Let Die
4. Die Another Day
5. The Living DayLights

Brosnan was perfect with the barrel, the way he twists his entire body to shot it all seems so natural, it was great

This is the best 1 because when he shoots you get that epic sound. Its the same sound when you die in James Bond Tommorow never dies the game.
