Why can't we stop picking on the poor insurance companies. Can't we just look the other way when someone dies or when someone's child dies because of coverage denied? As long as it's not someone we care about, should it really bother us? As insensitive as this sounds, it's basically the argument anyone against affordable insurance for all is unknowingly making. I am amazed that people use the Sarkisyans to argue for government health care. Which medical insurer has the highest number (& percentage) of treatment rejections? Medicare!

In those countries with govt ins. (Canada-UK) this procedure would be denied with no possibility of a change of mind.

Non-elective surgical procedures have waits of over 6 months in those countries. Let's not use the tragic death of this young woman to argue for a public plan that would have denied her just as quickly.

Cigna is guilty of murder of a lovely young woman. This HAS to stop, but when and how? I've had the pleasure of spending an afternoon with Nataline's family. They show such courage in the face of this uniimaginable tragedy. Hilda and her family will never let Nataline' death fade from our view; we all need to remember this could be our loved one and our own insurance company next. Thank you Sarkisyans for your fighting spirit.

All we can do is to make people aware that the system is broke and that it may not effect them now, sooner or later it will and if not to them, then a loved one. This is a sad story. However, it's about a company not fulfilling its contractual obligations. You pay insurance, it covers you. This SHOULD NOT be used to advocate SOCIALIZED MEDICINE. The people helping this family out should not be doing it to push through a VERY bad idea of government run medicine. Please don't tell me "no, it's single payer, not government run." I hate Cigna. When I worked at a doctor's office, I had to get some information regarding a patient. They were very rude and unprofessional and don't know what they are doing. Nearly patient (except 2) who was covered by these idiots did not like this insurance company. Patients complained about them all the time. It's all for profits and not for the people. Thanks to those lower than dirt, useless, greedy, CEOs.
