04L is the landing runway at Nice and 04R is used for Take Off ... I have never landed on the right (thats a taxi way on the left of this runway, which the plates advise against landing on!)
Is this the most common landing direction, or do they land from the other side also? Not sure which side I should hope to get a seat on when I arrive in August?
@gregb2100 The runway is oriented on an east-west direction and it all depends of the winds and which runway is active that day, but during my stay most planes I saw were landing in this direction.... The dominent winds seem to be from the east
@speedbird6431 They only land the 22R when the ceiling is 3000 ft or more, and visibility is 10 km. or more.
Also, the crosswind component has to be more than 5 knots. Even if the winds are 220 @ 5, they will still land on 04L using this special procedure. When the ceiling for 04L is below 2000 ft and vis is less than 8000m, they will use the ILS for 04L.
@hyrrokinfamily The most respect should go to the cabin crew. They are under paid, have to deal with all those people (including babies crying) and never get the credit they deserve.
I had a good experience with them! I think it depends a lot on the staff you deal with and what kind of day they are having ;) Also, any European airline has better standards then a North American one....

Wow, really smooth landing I love the a320. How is BA's service, are they a good airline in your opinion, because I've heard mixed reviews? Thanks
