  • This is great. Till customs rummage through the lot of it and ruin it. oh and how do you answer the question "did you pack your suitcase sir?" "erm no my butler did"

  • Very good video. There is indeed an art to

packing clothes to prevent then from looking rough at the other end of the journey. Thanks

  • What do you suggest to do when you are sharing a suitcase?

  • @KapowGurrrrl146 Do so equitably.

  • Excellent video. Good information and explanations. If all the garments are made of the same natural materials and are like in color is the tissue paper needed?

  • @mmpapabear5150 Thank you. Yes, the paper s used to protect from protruding things, such as buckles or buttons or clasps; and also to separate worn clothes from clean ones, and also to pad things such as shoulders.

  • @mmpapabear5150 It depends. Do they have delicate attachments, such as buttons/sequins? Have they been worn at all? if so, yes, they should be separated. If not, then you could get away with not wrapping in paper. One thing that some people lose sight of is that we are packing suitcases for quality clothing, hence the need to protect it. Obviously, where there may be no danger of damage, or where the clothing is not delicate (such as jeans) then one does not have to protect it.

  • Good thing the butler is doing this and not myself. This is extremely time consuming.

  • @youngni7 Indeed it is...although we train butlers to pack in ten minutes if time is tight

  • @ModernButlers Splendid, Jeeves. Simply splendid.

  • you piss me of with all of that tissuepaper, so ridiculus and wastefull... Howewer a good video

  • Excellent. Thank you for taking the time to explain.

  • Forgive me for being disrespectful, but I find this a ridiculous way of packing. If I went through this much trouble packing my suitcase to the level of insanity, I'd probably be so enraged I decided to scrumple every piece of clothing and throw them in the suitcase haphazardly when packing for the journey back home. All those wasteful tissues, the obsessive folding techniques, and all the craziness does not make much difference if your clothes only stay in the suitcase for a day (maximum)!

  • Thank you for the wonderful video. It was nicely done and gave a lot of good techniques.

  • superb video. well done.

  • this video is fantastic! thank you so much!

  • Thanks for this video. its really helpful.

  • Thank you for the wonderful information! What about toiletries?

  • You are welcome. Toiletries are handled by a) opening the tops of any liquids, b) squeezing out excess air and c) tightly closing the tops. D) place these liquid containers in a ziploc bag and e) into the sponge/toiletry bag, and f) place within three plastic bags. All this fuss because under pressure, such bottles can disgorge their liquids onto clothing etc. When treatede as above, they are unlikely to disgorge, and if they do, I have yet to find any liquids making it through 3 plastic bags

  • That Butler is such a player

  • 05:31 Getting a little out of control. Simmer down now.

  • That's similar to how I pack, have all the sleeves and dresses hanging out , put underwear in the middle then fold each side over, I don't use tissues and put shoes against the bottom corner of case to give extra protection against bangs. This works as everything comes out crease free. Thanks for this video ;)

  • Where are the shoes? Doesn't the traveller wear any?

  • I suspect the shoes are covered in Part II of this video

  • you should do voice overs for commercials. thanks for the video! very helpful

  • Sorry, the median salary is not necessarily 65K; and to compare these two data, anyway, does a disservice to the reader, because the implication is that butlers are not worth hiring. Perhaps it is not too obvious to point out that a butler does a lot more than pack suitcases.

  • You are extremely polite and professional.

  • The median salary for a butler is $65,000 a year. The price of having room service dry clean or iron your clothes once you arrive-$20-40 bucks.

  • Burtonh1, A skilled Butler can offer invaluable service to any man or woman. They will work endlessly to ensure that a house is run to perfection and that a staff team is working efficiently. A Butler can make a staff plan, organize maintenance to the property, help one entertain and make daily life a thousand fold easier. Surely a fine butler would be handsomely paid for their work, and rightfully so--considering the support, service and knack for perfection they provide.

  • whouldent it be easy to take my suit in the suit case witch is made for suits :S?

  • No doubt, if one travel lightly for a short trip. Longer ones require more items and as there is a limit to the number of items one may take on board or check in, one normally is faced with the prospect of packing suit and everything else into suitcases.

  • ahh i love how you say"one"

  • hmmm alot of tissue paper and long process. Its helpful method though

  • thats alot of tissues

  • OMG!!!!!-quite complicated....but cool..I wouldnt pay for it...what a waste of paper....good job

  • When you are talking about men who have butlers, you are dealing with people who often own shirts, jackets, and pants that can cost anywhere from $100 to upwards of $1000 a piece. So it goes without saying that proper care is necessary to pack them properly to preserve the life of the garments. This fellow is simply a very thorough and dedicated butler.

  • it's quite dark. i couldn't see it very well.
