  • a civil war just like anti slavery --- enslaved to the doctor --- or wild eyed southern boys and damn yankees --- not Mr and Mrs southern slave owner --- doctors

  • Conservatives hate the idea that people own their own brain. They'd rather have your mind stuffed full of evangelical bullshit and nationalist rhetoric.

  • @matcotech I'm conservative and am totally for this. Please, don't talk shit. There are alot of conservatives that support this.

  • @matcotech Only Neo Cons really do. True Conservatives endorse personal Liberty.

  • @atchisrj1 I wish that were true, but it's like discerning who a "real" christian is. Libertarians, Liberals, and secular conservatives all usually endorse personal liberty. However, the political establishment conservatives are fascist. They are the hatchet men of the religious right. The traditional conservatives, (D or R) were the worst stewards of liberty ever. We live in a complete police state.

  • @matcotech We can work for a change by supporting Dr. Ron Paul in 2012. A true Libertarian Conservative that wants to get Government out of our life's. We can return our rights in our lifetime.

  • @atchisrj1 I'd be willing to vote for Dr. Paul if he'd trim the corporatist collusion.Capitalism is a raw mother**** for those on the bottom. (R) Gary Johnson is my ticket, not (R) Obama again. I'd rather vote for someone with honesty and integrity than my party preference. Ron Paul is a genuine and honest man, but that's what also scares me. Let's please not add atlas shrugged as an addendum to the constitution.

  • @matcotech You are very misinformed on free market capitalism. It is the one system that benefits everyone equally unlike the system we have now Corporatism ie: Fascism. That benefits the corporations at the expense of everyone else. In a free market there are no to very few corporations and every individual can through their hard work pull them selves up to the top. Capitalism is the only fare system. Atlas Shrugged is a work of fiction, nobody is even suggesting it be added to the Constitution

  • @atchisrj1 I was being facetious on the Atlas Shrugged point. I am actually far too informed about objectivism to seek it. We have a world standard of living precisely because of mixed capitalism. Pure Libertarianism may appeal to the baser instinct of greed, but it serves negative consequence to lower levels of the social caste. Believe me, it sounds good, but so do multi-level marketing schemes. I'm being absolutely serious on that point.

  • @servo1056 Please stop spreading lies and misinformation about the plant. Your anti-marijuana views are not supported by science. If you don't believe me just google "cannabis."

  • It is actually not legalise but re-legalise. Even Cocaine was legal at one time.

  • Cannabis should be added to current laws as a normal plant. just like tomatoes and onions. No additional sin-tax or regulation above that of other plants

  • i simply pray to whatever god there is that weed aint legal when he is old enough to smoke it...i know how stupid it made me and i changed, just sad to see all these fake things......sorry people...but weed kills more brain cells then cigararettes.plain and simple truth.

  • @servo1056 no it doesnt, read any medical research and you will see that hippocampal neurogenesis mediated by cannabinoids is a scientific and biological fact.

  • @servo1056 How ironic, somebody who puts absolute blind faith in religion doesn't know a single thing about cannabis.

How about doing some research on your own, instead of putting blind faith into what the liars on Fox News tell you? Cannabis is by far the safest substance on this planet.

  • @PullyElbow27 blind faith?im sorry but clearly you misunderstand.i am not religous in any way.i was using the phrase"i pray to god"as a genralization,(IE)"i pray to god i pass that exam tomorrow"or "oh my god i cant believe how stupid you are".get it now??? as for me doing research,well...i smoked weed almost daily for 15 years and i just grew out of it.i got tired of relying on a chemical that did nothing but make me lazy and made my thought process slow down.as for fox news.i dont watch news.

  • @PullyElbow27 furthermore, marijuana smoke contains 50 times more carcinogens than tobacco smoke,it also contains more carbon monoxide.that is fact.perhaps you shouldnt listen to bunch of shotty people who call themselves doctors and claim marijuana is harmless because that is not true...not true by a long shot.your comment is laughable (at best)

  • @servo1056 First off, I never denied that. Marijuana smoke is more carcinogenic than tobacco, however, assuming you do your research, you know that marijuana smoke cannot cause cancer due to the anti-tumor properities of THC/CBD/CBN.

Second, since you're a smoker for 15 years, you would also know that you can eliminate all negative health implications of smoking by using a vaporizer.

Third, marijuana does not kill brain cells. Infact, a synthetic cannabanoid actually increases neurogenesis....

  • @PullyElbow27 to answer your "first off"if you dont deny that marijuana smoke is more carcinogenic then tobacco then you agree that it is indeed hazardous to your health, and since i have done my research(because it is my job)the anti tumer properties that your speaking of are so miniscule that they really have no effect.your opinion about using a "vaporizer"is 100%false.u can research that.for your third point....WELL...CARBON MONOXIDE KILLS BRAIN CELLS!

  • @servo1056 Actually, no. You better do more research on a subject called incomplete combustion, or combustion.

Vaporizers remove all health hazards that smoking does because it does not heat the product to the point of combustion. It heats the product to a certain temperature where the psychoactive chemicals are released in a vapor. These cannabanoids are the ONLY things present in this vapor. That's basic shit.

  • @servo1056 The National Institute of Health published a study comparing tobacco and marijuana smoke. What they found was even though marijuana smoke was about equally carcinogenic as tobacco, it can NOT cause lung cancer, or any other cancer for that matter. The reason was because of the anti-tumor properties of delta9-tetrahydrocannabanol, or THC.

There has been absolutely NO PROOF concluding that smoking marijuana kills brain cells. Stop spouting rhetoric you found on an anti-drug commercial.

  • @servo1056 ...in rats.

  • @PullyElbow27 NOPE.not just rats.

  • @servo1056 I am sorry you didn't have the self control to use cannabis responsbility, but don't blame the plant and begin to demonize it.

  • @PullyElbow27 i had plenty of "self control"i simply grew out of it...again you are putting words in my mouth, like your fox news and religion comment.look...i aint trying to change you...im simply pointing out facts that will be made public in late 2011...it should also be commen sense that if you have to smoke something out of a "vaporizor"then maybe you should just not smoke it at all.to go to that great of lengths to smoke something is kinda, well....."crackheadlike"in my opinion.

  • @servo1056 It's called moderation. Because marijuana is not PHYSICALLY addictive, there is no moderate-severe withdrawl symptoms of stopping marijuana consumption. If you cannot control your usage, you have no self control/discipline. It was YOUR fault, not the cannabis.

If you think being healthy is "crackheadlike", then so be it. Stop spreading false information, you sheeple.

  • @servo1056 You need a serious reality check, but I can't believe somebody as uneducated as yourself is passing off all of this information as fact.

  • @PullyElbow27 hahaha...WOW...ignorance is bliss i guess...whatever...have yourself a nice happy stoned and incoherent newyear

  • @servo1056 another person blinded by religon. do some research before you post misinformation. they teach you this on faux (fox) news??

  • @th0mmie see comment above.do you always simply repeat what others already say?very creative....anyways...i dont watch fox news and im not religious..perhaps you should "researched"my channel before you posted a comment about me.if you did then you would have seen those things.

  • @servo1056 Do some "research" and you will understand marijuana is NOT worse than tobacco. Learn your facts before you post again. Idiot.

  • @th0mmie look "pal"you clearly no nothing of what im talking about and to be honest your latest comment is coming off as if you were an 18 yr old punk kid...if you actually looked into my comment you would see that i HAVE ALREADY PROVED THAT I DID MY RESEARCH furthermore i work for the leader in medical science...not just in america but the world...if you actually took the time to do your own research you would see that it is you who needs to do some research.i do it all day...its my job....

  • triple & quadruple support for legalization .. take the law out of the hands of manic gun toting goons = cops.

  • This video highlights perfectly what will change after prohibition, in terms of regulation. But if you want to know what will happen in terms of road accidents, usage rates, and harm to non-users, all that is needed is to look at what is happening all around us right now.

  • People are willing to give too many concessions to get it legal. It should be legal period, without a ton of regulations. If I wanted to grow my own I should be allowed to without restriction.

  • I personally believe if it is a plant, is easy to regulate and consume then man made products. But all at the same time, I can fully agree with these educated and realistic peoples approaches. They are both addressing the limitations, the society effects and the economic impacts. That is far more then our own government has done, they have acted only to protect their interests. Which hasn't changed even to the modern day.

  • How the fuck can you say that it is okay too use heroin. no matter what fucking way you do it, it is still fucked up! A drug with such a high mortality rate cannot be allowed or legal in any way! I can see the point with cannabis, it's not lethal. Drugs like Extacy and Meth are among the things that are wrong with humans. DO NOT CONSUME STUFF THAT WILL KILL YOU! the same goes with cigarettes. It's STUPID!

  • @Kboman eat 20 aspirin pills and you may be dead - prohibit it? surely not, it's up to the individual what it wants to consume, the state better leave its hands off such personal matters and provide honest education only.

  • @Kboman almost anything we consume, if we consume enough can kill us. You can die from drinkin too much coffe, or even water. It's not up to the government to decide what adults can put into their own bodies. It's the right of the individual to choose what they wanna do to themselves, no matter how harmful it may be.

"If people let government decide what food they eat and what medicines they take, their bodies will soon be in as sorry a state as those who live under tyranny." Thomas Jefferson

  • @Kboman It's physically impossible for heroin addicts to go cold turkey, the withdrawal will cause more physical damage to their body than their continued use of the drug.

  • cannabis = OK

    Heroin = WTF?! FUCKING PSYCHOS!

  • fuckin idiots say no to coke, heroin! That shit is nasty and will kill people dumb fucks. Say yes to marijuana!

  • Fantastic cause that I have always supported. But, you will never succeed until you force the opposing side to be tortured and die for THEIR stupid, anti-freedom-of-choice cause. Do you think England would have voluntarily given up the US colonies? You think the Nazis would voluntarily have gone away? You have to support civilians to use deadly force as much as you support paid government troops.

  • I disagree, but my angry side agrees ;)

I'm sure this case can be solved through people voicing their opinion to the world.

I especially encourage people who supports legalization to share their point of view as often as possible (but in a serious and reflected sort of way)! Do it at forums, in the newspaper, magazines, on the news, YouTube, to your friends, family, school class, anything where you can reach out and start our silent revolution ;)

  • First of all - I have to say - unless you have a PhD in math and can do game theory like I do - I know for a fact that EVERY single person who says that:

telling people to speak out in forums, etc -is an absolute LIAR, because they NEVER mean it, because WITHOUT A SINGLE EXCEPTION whenever people DO voice their opinion, as I do, to people like YOU, it will NEVER be the "proper way". You WILL bullshit and bullshit over the "proper way" to express oneself, because that is all you CAN do.

  • I'm sorry that I can't flex my PhD muscles yet, but I respect your education, and if you say it matters in this case, it probably does.

I highly disagree with you when you allege that "people like me" makes the debate about "the proper way to express oneself".

You see, I say that however you voice your opinion is good, so what you do is good, eventhough I think you are taking it to the extreme. Though, our basic principles are the same, we want legalization. That's why we debate other things.

  • The thing that is infinitely impossible for those without proper mathematical training to grasp, because it is too abstract for them, is that "extreme" should NEVER be based upon "what some majority vs minority of people think" about a decision, but about the relative +/- of those decisions.

e.g. Putting people in prison for eating meat is not extreme, because the negative to them of doing so is smaller in magnitude to the negative to animals who are killed for food.

  • I agree. But please don't underestimate other people without high knowledge of mathematics. You say "impossible", and that's really provoking, and it's wrong. You who know mathematics should know that you should have statistics to back up a claim like that.

Anyway, it's a lot of different variables to consider in your example. E.g: How can you measure the negative experience? This is rather a question of how you personally measure value in people vs. animals, and the results of the penalty.

  • Question: why should I treat other organisms as worthy of equal opinion just because they are the same species as me? I rank most pigs and cows much higher than most humans.

You are so wedded to your assumptions, such as from which categories I "ought" t include a "majority" - such as "all humans living now", or "all humans living in America" - that you are not even mentally capable of seeing that you make these assumptions.

  • It's not "statistics" that is important in modelling the world (although statistics ARE very important for filling in one's model afterwards). Determining cause and effect is an abstract process of creating a model with arbitrarily defined definitions. The more you make those definitions (of who causes what) logically consistent, the better.

Hence, experience & observation do not determine cause and effect. C&E is a defined concept.

  • This is a really excellent video.

  • we need such a conference in the E.U., too!

    maybe in Germany?

  • Excellent video. Here's hoping the forthcoming comments aren't too childish and don't denigrate such an important discussion...

  • the idea about psych substances is sorta silly. i don't think people would do that, and people who were experienced with psychedelic substances would find it funny but perhaps insulting and stupid.

  • 4:43 - 4:53...HELL YEAH! All you prohibitionists, read THAT !!! ;)

  • great upload. as a user of different substances, i can say this would be very weird to have; drugs like ecstasy in their own stores. people need to realize this makes the drug safer, and more legit. drug use will continue no matter what; so why not make it safer, more legit and less fearful, and out of the hands of criminals?
