Definitely get yourself a 12. I've had a few over the years, from a couple of Normans to my current Larrivee, and I definitely recommend them to guitar players. It not only sounds beautiful, but it's a great exercise for your fingers as well. After playing your 12 for a few days, then switching back to your 6, you'll feel your fingers are a bit stronger, and it will make the 6 feel a bit "easier" to play. Guild, Taylor and Larrivee all make good, affordable 12 strings. Don't buy a cheap one
