  • This is such a godly version of this song! The vibrato from 4:21-4:25 is nuts. Jeff was able to create his insane vibrato technique because he had an abnormally flexible jaw and a very slight amount of head-bobbing. It's something that you can't teach.

  • heaven has a tendency to take the most valuable ones first...

  • he is the only one of the great singers of our era, who can reach every single note he hit in the album or, and that's insane, even higher and better, in every show he played. no one like him, cornell? no, Kennedy (I love him too)? no... he was an immense singer and artist

  • That first part that has been taken out is one of the funniest shit I've seen Jeff do. And it was so cool to have seen his reaction, his frustration of always being compared or linked to his father, done on TV on the background while the host was clueless talking on the front. I was actually looking for this video because of that part. I enjoyed that first part so much.

  • My heart just broke a little.......

  • Holy Vocal Chords..Lead the angel choirs,Mr. Buckley.

  • Totally agree with gofusiesbass09 - the drumming on the album is outstanding. In fact, all of the playing is top quality. Shame that Jeff died so young. He still had so much to offer.

  • Their drummer on this album is fantastic.

  • haha thanks for editing that first part out...

  • More like Jizz Buckley...

  • x Dios cuanta pasion loco !!!

  • let your grass grow nice n' tall, lay down, look up into the sky & think/feel all things love, all things beauty, all things never ending, all things real, all things light, all things Jeff ...

  • Check out Jeff's dad, Tim Buckley. Also brilliant, and gone.

  • Thank You, Jeff your voice has opened my heart again..If anyone is reading this remember the anniversary of his death is on 5/29 lets request his music on the radio lets get his music out to others to discover his amazing GRACE.

  • This man is jesus, and im not even religious.

  • I was just a few months old when this was recorded. And I'm from London. Scary to think that during these moments I'm watching I was somewhere just a few miles away, unaware that this hero of mine even existed. And he was totally unaware that I would discover him. This was the closest I would ever be to Jeff's living body.

  • WE GOT ROBBED!!! so sad he's gone :o(

  • He sings it so good and without any problem !!

  • The voice, damn...THE VOICE.....unbelivevable beautiness...

  • His guitar was so much much much better than average.

  • Lo amo!! Dios, es perfecto! Porque te lo llevastes? ¬¬

  • (Y)

  • oh god, that last 10 seconds or so, his voice...just sends shivers up my spine

  • O MY GOD !!!

  • I like!

  • This is my favourite version

  • Beauty at it's best.

  • Nothing to do with his guitar, might even be average. But the voice, dear god what a loss to music!!!!

  • @maartenvanhaaren From what I heard his guitar was better than average.

  • Why is he so underrated?

  • What a sad loss to music. I truly believe he could have changed the direction of contemporary "pop" music and brought us back to live music. He died in the river and we got Cheryl Cole & X Factor instead. RIP Jeff. RIP LIVE music.

  • Nobody plays guitar with so much feeling in the eyes and hands as Jeff ...

A great loss to the world ...

There was much to show us.

    Rest in peace, Jeff Buckley.

  • 4:30 - 4:35 Fucking unbelievable.

This man is not a musician....he literally IS music, he has music running through his body.

RIP Jeff. First thing I do when I get to heaven is have a beer with you...

  • Holy. Shitballs.

  • he looks a lot like james franco lol

  • @darkais776 That doesn't make sense. Jeff was born before him, so it's the other way around.

  • @MojoPin1983 well, u get what i mean man hahah

  • his guit is too low.

  • @wolfwilkins I know what you mean. His guitar techs sucked.

  • Comment removed

  • @blondushka That doesn't even make sense. The volume of his guitar had nothing to do with a personal preference. His sound men were just terrible at micing his guitar. Not just in this performance, but pretty much all his live concerts. I'm not knocking Jeff at all. I love him, but his crew didn't do a good job of setting his output level.

  • Too powerful for my ears to take

  • Words cannot describe what you feel when you hear this song, this voice... it breaks my heart that he's no longer with us.

  • man i wish i was old enough to say i saw this guy live. unreal.

  • amazing version...

  • just curious ive watched this song performed live so many times on youtube and the drummer doesnt seem to be doing the punchy hi hat sound in the verse - was this added in extra or what? drum machine? im confused

  • This is the best version of song that he has. Omfg.

  • Anyone one no what kind of snare drum he's using?

  • @az0981872 All I know is that Matt Johnson used Slingerland drums.

  • I had shivers the whole way through

  • Beginning and until 4:00 - Yeah, he's really great bu..

4:00 and until end - ..OH MY GOD

  • Simply....Unbelievable.

  • speechless... just speechless

  • I've always thought of people saying that a performance was jaw dropping as just an expression. Yet, I noticed on a few occasions during this performance, my mouth was wide open at the talent this guy had. Ugh, makes me want to sing, but roommates are trying to sleep.

  • that last scream is redonkulas. sounds like it's straight from great gig in the sky, too bad he never covered it :(

  • @canbekalakay great shame.

  • flawless voice and guitar playing. what a performance

  • It's hard to see how any live performance could top this. Extraordinarily good.

  • i personally think this is the best vocal performance of grace ever

  • thanks Jeff for changing my life!

  • que final la puta madre...............Jeff Buckley aca en Argentina ta amamos sabelo

  • Breathtaking, so awesome.

  • Holy shit @4:01.

  • Double Wow...

  • wow

  • @zankokunatenshi

Very true. I thought that too.

  • @fabvon

Not necessarily. If that statement is true, ¿how could you explain the transcendence of his music?

  • and Jeff didn even really wanna sing....lucky for us he did

  • what an incredible video quality! I have never seen this one... Grace is one of the most powerful songs ever by one of the most powerful singers of all times.

  • such a sad f***ing loss!!!

  • It was a telecaster with12-string ??

  • thats just the reflection off of the pick guard

  • This is the best live vocal performance of this song I've found. Unbelievable. I don't know whether to marvel or despair that I will never be able to sing this good.

  • @rossvideosprint - thats kinda the point :P Jeff was unike and of the most talented singers out there.

  • I love his telecaster! this is my favourite live version of this song

  • twasnt actually his telecaster, he'd borrowed it

  • @TheMrDobbins lol yeah i know, ive got pics of the chick that leant jeff her guitar, its still got jeffs grime on the scratchplate. looks so sad without it in jeffs hands

  • first time ive seen him play this with the bridge pickup

  • @FuckingStanz He's using the neck pickup. Tighe's guitar is louder in the mix than it should be, hence the grungy bits at the beginning of each verse.

  • @NurseDischord Look where his pickup selector is at 0:16. He starts the song with neck but switches to the bridge when the drums kick in.

  • @FuckingStanz Just noticed, later in the vid, he's using middle. Perhaps he changes pickup according to each section of the song? Can't say I'd noticed before. I'm going to have to listen to Grace again now, extra carefully :)

  • @NurseDischord That's the thing, in other live performances he's using different pickups in different parts than this version. Guess he just liked to switch things up often.

  • there's the moon asking to stay

long enough for the clouds to fly me away

well it's my time coming, i'm not afraid to die

my fading voice sings of love,

but she cries to the clicking of time

    oh, time

    wait in the fire...

  • and she weeps on my arm walking to the bright lights in sorrow oh drink a bit of wine we both might go tomorrow oh my love and the rain is falling and i believe my time has come it reminds me of the pain i might leave leave behind wait in the fire... and i feel them drown my name so easy to know and forget with this kiss i'm not afraid to go but it goes so slow
  • this is the best version of grace i've heard :)

  • Type in: Jeff Buckley - Grace (Live Nulle Part Ailleurs, Canal+ 1995) (HD)

It blows this and all versions of this song away.

  • wow, that was amazing! thank you :)

  • i love him

  • amazing 2

  • Amazing

  • Aaah amazing performance! btw he was really really handsome=]

  • love his telecastor too, looks awesome

  • THIS IS MUSIC

  • I saw this one night on tv after the pub and was really impressed. This performance is sublime. Damn, what a voice.

  • Happy Birthday Jeff........ <3 <3

  • jeff has soooo much more to offer, i would have loved to see what songs he would have created by now : /

  • oh why did he have to die :(

  • the quality of this video is so damn good! almoust all buckleys videos are a little blurry or shot from far away!! loved it! cant stop thinking about jeff! hes my angel!

  • That's because it was taken from the Grace Around The World DVD.

  • I am a worthless piece of crap singer and should end my life. Thanks. T_T

  • beutiful

  • Jeff is the king and one of a kind

  • There's the moon asking to stay

Long enough for the clouds to fly me away......Sei stato unico Jeff...RIP

  • wait in the fire, wait in the fire....jeff 4ever!!!

  • Music at it's finest.

  • Nobody has or ever will sing like this again...it's just the way it is...that's why you have to appreciate everyone for who they are while they are on this earth.

  • so true....

  • both him and his father were murdered as were Bob Marley, JimMorisson, Jimi Hendrix, Janis Joplin, Brian Jones, Tupack Shakur, Notorious B.I.G. Michael Hutchence of INXS, Bob Dylan was silenced and never sang anti-Govt songs ever again, he knew he had to shut up, lest he be killed as well, O yes Peter Tosh as well murdered by powers that be, the Evil Octopus tentacles that takes away heroes, mens that stand out of the masses, They want a dumbed down, society ruled by big pharma, mil.ind.complex

  • Not all of them were murdered, ya fool. and some of them were gang violence.

Tim Buckley died of an overdose

and nobody knows much at all about jeff'sdeath.

  • What the hell ?! Are you kiding ? Because your words are like shit ! Jimi Hendrix murdered ! I'm deaaad !!! Hahaha

  • ofcourse, all these singer did their own thing,...but Chris Cornell,...I'll take him over Robert Plant, Paul Rogers and all the lesser guys, EXCEPT James Dewar and Ozzie.

    just my personal opinion.

this is my very first exposure to this guy, reco'd from a friend and I'm impressed.

  • One of the best songs of the 90s. Tends to be the one that non Buckley fans like.

I used to be such a big fan and then went completely off it as I got sick of all the Buckley wannabees with painful vocal gymnastics. Urrrgghhh.... But I just started thinking about checking him out again and watching this I forgot how awesome a band they were.

  • No, it's not. Ha!

  • Is that a 12 string?

  • it just looks like one because of the mirror style pickguard

  • Very good performance ruined by bad soundceck :(

  • with Cobain and Vedder, is the best voice in the 90' ^^

  • Staley and Cornell as good or better also

  • he just might be the greatest loss of the music world... rip jeff

  • OOHHH MY GOD!!!

    OOHH MY GOOOOD!!!!

  • powerfull voice!

    amazing!

    for ever!

  • Incredible.

By the way, you have the wrong date shown. This was filmed on 1/17/95.
