Never heard such a huge load of emotion on a live reggae sound... I was already frightened by the music quality on a studio release but THIS is such a weird way to play reggae, so rock so powerfull such a load of energy. hard to find a better video on youtube

Having been born and bred on Hamstead Rd, and running home from Villa Cross on the night of the riots (me 11 years old at the time, this tune brings back good and bad memories. Proper multicultualism started with my generation and somehow seems to have got lost with the next!!
Lol, yeah villa cross..memories...lol. the riots...I was pregnant at the time and ma man went to look fi a cot n pram, i was watchin people trying on shoes n shit , if it didnt fit dem chuck it...lol it was awful but it aint nothing to what palestinians are going thru right now..H town used to be the nicest place to live ..wtf happened i dunno but its wasteland now..cant even hav a carnival to raaasss..bless up!!
i think its funny some of you all are trying to be "rebellous". Sorry but all you're doing is makeing yourself sound stupid lol, (this is to those who are saying shit they have no idea what it means) for those that know actually what its like and what alot of the music is supposed to be about then its nice to meet someone intelligent. (And you know who you are)
I loved steel pulse until I found I was shut out of God's kingdom for not being the right color. When I became a spirit (born again) I quit worrying about the problems of my fleshly race. I am ashamed to hear this nationalist racialidolatry. all the time, God is a spirit and so are his people. When you want to leave that babylonian thinking behind and come join the children of God, let us know.
i lost the pulse about 13 years ago.just joined you tube.& its like meeting an old friend. god bless steel pulse, may they play da reggae vibes forever.
this was the time when good music was done... not like this times , that technology mas the music, not the music overtaking technology," thats why theres got to be a revolution"
I first checked these guys out after seeing a showcase on them at EMP in Seattle - Handsworth and Tribute are by far the best two reggae albums i've ever heard in my life. I kind of feel bad saying that because i love bob and dennis and burning spear etc.....but THESE ALBUMS!!?!?!??! Unbelievabely written, catchy, foward thinking, fantastic harmonies, beautiful melodies and now that I see they play just as tight and fresh sounding LIVE, makes me love them even more.
I now live here in the US I use to jam to this many moons ago when I used to live in b'ham handsworth great tune big up to,,ravers sound, jungleman sound strerio classic, wassifa sound nuff love comeing from I brother ONELOVE.. I know you guys may have given up the sound business but the love is still there after so many years over twenty years ago.........ONELOVE
Being a big reggea fan , i decided to buy the album handsworth revolution at random on amazon to find that these guys are awsome and have listend to it more than a 1000 times . Play at the end of a party and its brings the party back 5 hours early like it had just started .
Oh yeah oh yeah, one of the greatest bands of all time. I see there are some early Steele Pulse fans, I first saw them at the 100 Club on Oxford Street (maybe 1977) and at the Anti-Nazi league rally in 1978 and then in Montreal in the 1980s. Rock on.
el mejor grupo de reggae ingles junto a una de sus mejores canciones, segun yo creo no equivocarme con varios aca q concuerden conmigo, reggae lo maximo
Damn! early Steel Pulse! I can't help but feel DEEP emotion of nostalgia for this era. I discoverd them 1979 and this song was the bomb! I would play it over and over. Great set to bad it's short short. They were cookin'
One person suffers because they have a real problem.
Another person suffers because someone has a problem with them. One type of problem is acceptable and the other type of problem is no one's problem. Mix it up and see what you get. Keep your minds open, because that's what we're here on earth to do. Jah Rasta!

Handsworth shall stand, firm - like Jah rock

We once beggars are now choosers
No intention to be losers
Striving forward with ambition
And if it takes ammunition
We rebel in Handsworth revolution, luuuuuuuuuuuv it m0n :)
