ive never been to a nascar race,,i wanna make the 3 hour trek from where i live in canada to go to the michigan race this year,,can someone tell me the best place to sit ,and camp etc,,,thanx,,im not a total green horn ive been to the brick yard in indy 5 times for formula 1 ,but with no race there anymore i need a new adventure..boogidy boogidy boogidy..lol!
so parked in lot 12 then too? or in the camping area?
Been parking in lot 12 for 3-4 years now. Hella long walk but after the race out and gone in 10 minutes tops. Main parking lot at the track your lucky if you move 10 feet in 10 minutes.
All you guys are so Lucky over there in the US.....we have nothing like that in Australia.....gota love the CAT race teams.....we have one in our local Supercar series and it looks awesome on track....and its a FORD :-)

CAT was a partial sponsor of the race it seems. The Grader drove around about 45 minutes before the race with a bunch of Grand Am cars behind it, some local car club. CAT also had a big sign on the outside of the track and an "exclusive" area for VIP's. Didn't include me...!! Thanks for watching.
This was my first NASCAR race I've ever attended and did have a great time. I hope to get seats higher up and be able to get some better footage next year. I'm from the Chicago area and it was easy to get to the track though a LONG drive home Sunday night! Thanks for watching!
Dave's a good driver and he's been caught up in other people's accidents. Harvick can get it done, but he's a bit of egotist from what you see and hear on TV. But the great thing about NASCAR is the devotion of its fans. I worked for Caterpillar for years and I support the CAT team no matter who drives (Ward was the best yet).
Having owned mostly Dodge cars/vans all my life, I can't disagree completely. But, Bill Davis needed some good support and Dodge pulled out on him (because of his truck deals). Time will tell if Toyota sticks around with the big boys.

I've always liked the CAT cars, looked pretty cool
I was there
like section 50-54 somewhere that area, right infront of that road that comes from the infield, out of turn 4, entrance of pit, like 30 rows up
and i was right by that bridge crossin the road for the trolly
just went back to the other trolly to section 12
