  • I love my state

  • MEILENSTEIN !!!

  • If today there are 7 New Wonders of the World, the No.1 should be the Web/Internet. It makes both young and old people around the globe connected specially in one universal language of music that brought us here in you tube!

  • The Berkshires and Cape Cod,Boston.Yes Massachusetts is beautiful.Best state theme song ever written. The Bee Gee's knew how to write em.

  • Massachusetts is so beautiful... I miss Boston :'(

  • Sir A.J. Ayer (10/29/1910 - 6/27/1989) "Suffering from emphysema, he collapsed in 1988 and underwent a remarkable near-death experience, in which...he seemed to encounter the 'Master of the Universe' and his ministers for space and time." (Page 209) "The 100 Most Influential Philosophers" by Encyclopedia Britannica. Copyright 2010.

  • a special lady died tonite--this is for her--rest in peace Wretha

  • This song came out when I was in basic training in the Army in late 1967. On our flight from Ft Leonard Wood, MO, to Ft Devens, Mass, in JAN 1968 someone had it on a tape player, and we listened to it all the way there. The song was much better than Massachusetts was. Devens SUCKED. Worst time of my life. But I do love the song, anyway!

  • @TravelerDiogenes who gives a rats ass?

  • por un sahara libre ,,

  • me fascina

  • the ending chorus alone is actually better than most entire songs

  • the harmony and producing on this song is unmatched even to this day...

  • There were five members in the Bee Gees on this song up to 1969, Colin Petersen on drums and Vince Melouney on lead guitar.Vince left first then Colin left.

  • BEING FROM BOSTON MYSELF, THIS SONG ALWAYS STRIKES A GREAT CHORD.......

  • Always one of my all-time favorites.

  • Most people know that Flowers In The Rain by The Move was the first record played on Radio One...

    This was the second.....

  • nagyszerü volt ujra hallani.igazán nagyszerü.

  • Best pre-disco Bee Gees tune. Awesome, hair-raising harmony.

  • Isn't there 3 people in the BEE GEES not four

  • @bullseye5464 YES THERE WAS ONLY THREE IN THE BEE GEE'S.....BARRY, ROBIN, AND MAURICE. THERE YOUNGER BROTHER ANDY HAD A SOLO CAREER.....

  • Gives me chills everytime I hear it, love it

  • Praise the lord Robin is getting better now

  • I live in MA ..hahaha

  • Very good song indeed. Hopefully one day I will be a "masshole" again. Northampton calls me in my dreams....

  • This song came on the radio while I was in the critter cottage today changing bedding...........instantaneously made me feel nostalgic, homesick & old at the same time

( LOL yes I admit it I liked the Beegees ;-)

  • JUST MISSED!!! "Massachusetts" just missed making the Billboard's Top 10 chart; it peaked at No. 11 and spent a total of 8 weeks in the Hot Top 100 in 1967, it entered the charts on 11-11-1967...

  • Fantastic track. If you don't like the Bee Gees why are you listening to this?

  • I discovered this song when I was in my teen years. Many things changed since that day, I liked many songs and many lost their magic for me. I just needed to say that this song, apart from others, remained one of my favorites. I still listen to it from time to time. I needed to leave a sign here ... for me it was a song that could soothe pain and bring a sense of calm or equilibrium in my life. A kind of beauty beyond anything. Beyond feelings or thoughts, a landmark.

  • @cristinamoldoveanu This song reminds me of my wonderful Dad a true gentleman xx

  • @cristinamoldoveanu you have just encapsulated my exact feelings

  • Yes, I'm going to say my age, I don't care if you don't like it. I am 16 and luckily I am blessed with wonderful parents and a mother who listened to the Bee Gees since she was a kid and I grew up with it. I love of all of the fifties, sixties, seventies music. I don't really care if people think it's annoying hearing this all time, but its the truth : todays music sucks. It really does and I feel cheated. Alot.

But, I love this song so much. Reminds me of when I was younger.

  • @bladesofglory12 I'm 19 and feel the same way. i grew Up listening to 50s and 60s music, along with my parent's music from the 70s and early 80s.Nothing compares to the great sounds of REAL music.

  • many people today did not know a pre DISCO Bee Gees. To my they sold out, this was great music

  • Tygr a malíř. První obraz. Tygr hledí na obrázek, který malíř maluje. Je na něm španělská šunka. Druhý obraz: Tygr hledí na obrázek, kde vidí srnčí hřbet. Mírně se olízne a teskně zakňučí. Třetí obraz. Tygr se dívá do nebe, malíř tam již není a zůstala pouze paleta a barvy, pak štětec a hodinky, trocha svršků a boty. A tahle písnička prožene červení i vaše bledá líčka a na jazyk váš sedá, vždyť není škaredá. Mám ji v zorném poli ve křoví i pod topoly!

  • musica rejuvenece muito bom>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>

  • What you're hearing is talent. As opposed to a production team.

  • Its just impossible to explain what effect this incredible band has had on my entire life...Bee Gees = genius

  • NASCIDO NA INGLATERRA E CANTAM MASSACHUSETTS E ENCANTAM :PARANÁ BRASIL

  • I think this one of the greatest songs I've ever heard. I just wish Maurice was still around and I hope Robin recovers from his cancer. God has been both good and cruel to the Gibb family.

  • it's a little too low off pitch, and sounds dense and their voices sound like baritones haha .. is it because of the copyright, or a fraudulent recording

  • @alexjrmarino Beats the crap of today

  • i'm 27 and love this song

  • Spent some time in Boston after a tour in Southeast Asia with a lady who I should have married.

  • Although Im originally from Rhode island, not Massachusetts, this song always makes me think of my hometown 800 miles away, and the quaintness of New England. sorry....i just had something in my eye for a second...

  • @classiccarguy93

Me too. Something in my eye. New England is perfection

  • Nice song!! I Can't wait to get out of mass!!! Heading for someplace that gives a break to white middle class taxpayers. Use to be an awesome state years and years ago. Too Bad!!

  • The best song I have never heard ... since 1966 .

  • @asitphoto Hello, I may be wrong, but I recall hearing a DJ once say that the Bee Gees wrote this as a 'response' to Scott MacKenzie's 'San Francisco'. The more I listen to the words though, your interpretation makes more sense. Since 'San Francisco' was 1967 I think, what you said is probably right. I live in Western Massachusetts, hopefully you can move back one day!

  • @67marlins

Greetings from beautiful Indian Orchard MA, where the lights went out (and stayed out) on Halloween.

  • @ShanghaiJill Hello Jill, I live right across the river in my adopted hometown of Ludlow, 'Little Portugal'. I too lost power for Halloween week, and still have some candle-drip spots to clean up. That's funny, I say 'Greetings' a lot also.............hmmmmm. Take care, amiga!

  • Wonderful songs of the 60's. This is really music.

  • I'll will be back to taxachusetts one day. I love it there, despite the taxes.

  • @tresor354 check out the taxes in canada

  • Funny thing is that they had never been anywhere near MA before they wrote this song.

  • @tresor354 Very true, apparently they just loved the sound of the word

  • @tresor354 Funny thing is there is a program on TV right now, over here, where Robin Gibb has made that very point.

  • Call it Taxmetoomuch.

  • @Wellch Haha, hopefully not after this election!

  • @Wellch taxachusetts indeed. thats why we have the best schools in the country, cleanest water, excellent healthcare, and some of the nations most incredible parks and well-kept hunting preserves

  • @mrsiborg You aren't very worldly if you actually believe that

  • @jaytotheell must have worked, in a radio interview with bbc this week he said he was feeling "spectacular""!
