  • Af players are generally faster and you get blindsided more often in AF

  • i genuinly love both sports. being english im more interested in soccer but playing madden and watching nfl is great. i think though Beckham is more all round athletic is probably good at most sports meanwhile Bush would only really be good at NFL

  • @jamesgd7 Well Bush only tried to kick once - plus attempt to save some penalties

  • sports science specifically analyzed rugby hits vs. football hits and the padding of football players makes the typical hit far more powerful than the typical rugby hit. however, because the players are wearing padding that distributes the force, the power felt by that player ends up being about the same as the less powerful, but non padded hits by rugby players. it was an interesting experiment.

    so its a tie basically.

  • its all good. beckham missed a penalty too

  • The name has to due with history, they changed the rules of rugby football. there was also an association football at the time. They couldn't call it rugby, so they just called it football. They later changed asSOCiation football to SOCCER. You just have to know what to call it when you visit a country.

  • SHANK!

  • I like the Michael Jordan-Mia Hamm commercials better

  • football has been around in some form or another for 100s of years. The British are the people who really embraced the sport. At the time, the game was played with a round ball and only feet were used. Then, in the 1800s (I think, it might ...have been earlier) a school in England (or thereabouts) named Rugby changed the rules and started carrying the ball and running with it. This split the sport into two games that they called Rugby Football and Association Football.

  • The word Soccer is derived from the word "asSOCiation". When the game migrated to the US, the Rugby version became the more popular sport. People started playing it in college, sort of like an intramural sport. Then, some colleges wanted to play each other. When they got together they realized that they all had slightly different rules. So the officials sat down to write down rules everyone could agree on. Thus, our Gridiron Football was evolved from Football

  • @kylebourg It's no use trying to convince them that soccer is a term made up by the English themselves....they can't handle the truth, lols

  • Football is called FOOTball because the ball is 12 inches.

    12in=1 FOOT

  • @Saunga525 Actually, football is called that is because the definition of "football" is a sport the requires players to either kick at/into a goal and/or run across a line.

A football itself is about 11 inches long.

  • @Saunga525 an american football is actually 11.25 inches long according to NFL rules, so technically it isn't a foot long

  • I didn't see any save

  • well...didnt really save it did he

  • @Redman5Times i know right

  • Not a bad kick, just a few feet over the crossbar, if that was a little lower, it could've been a goal. And it was Reggie's first time, so I think it's a pretty decent effort.

  • Why it's call "Futbol"? WTF?

  • i thought it was called steroidball...

  • @Triplerubik thats Baseball

  • dont feel bad reggie beckam himself missed some key penalty for england

  • annoying orange

  • Nah Reggie you're supposed to get it UNDER the bar. Lol.

  • Btw, in the above video, taking a penalty is probably the worst indication of any footballer's skill. Lets face it, to be a footballer of any credential whatsoever, it takes years of dedication and practice. Im fifteen now, not a great footballer, but heck I could make any senior high school team right now if I started working out every two hours every night and downing some protein shakes and some steroids every now and then.

  • @nirabarsenal I mean I could make any senior high school 'football' team. Or even the NFL if I really got into the work out and protein shake, creatine supplements and steroids thing.

  • @nirabarsenal Are you kidding me?! Make the NFL?! You could NOT make the NFL!! Your crazy!!!

  • So from the arguments, let me get this straight. The BIGGEST reason why Am. football players don't like 'soccer' is that "football u tackle every play and run over people, get hit buy 300 pound line man every play..." or even better, "AF actually try to kill eachother on every play." Well I'm sure that in the last comment, the 'kill' is not literally, but from all the other 'evidence' why don't we just bubble wrap these guys for extra 'padding' and get them HIT by trucks??? Thas some hard sport!

  • @hawkaholic86 yeah but he is no doubt one of the most athletic player in the nfl...look at his combine stats...

  • @beats1n1shit That doesnt mean he could be better at soccer then other NFL players.

  • ameican football is not a sport. just a bunch of over grown americans who like to touch each other. its gay. no skill envolved except throwing and catching ......boring!!!!!!!

  • wow..alot of insecure posters here.. just enjoy all sports hatas..

  • what people forget when arguing about these sports is that they have completely different physical requirements that result in the development of a physique that is appropriate for there specific sport.

Furthermore, teams in the NFL, for example, play considerably less matches than those in the English Premier League. 17 vs 38. So its obvious players in the EPL will have more endurance and better powers of recovery, because they have less time to recover as the season is twice as long

  • so you yanks call your pussy version of rugby football, yet one of your top players cant even score a penalty? should be called throwpadball

  • wow wat a fag

  • Do you honestly think a rugby player is bigger or stronger than a football player?

  • I wonder if you are aware but they have done studies saying that football players hit people harder than rugby players. The difference is the pads disperse the force of the hit

  • @Munroezx NO!not in this life time...

  • haha, i might get into rugby, but to be honest i think i'll always put football(american) at the top.

the physicality of it (while it may not be AS physical as rugby) plus the intense strategy that goes into every play is what makes it worth while

  • its american football fs use americans copy everything soccer hate that word for football

  • theres one the pther way

  • Errr..... its a Miss... not a Save....

  • He just copied Beckam (a)

  • throwball would be a better name for the american football

  • or call it futbol

  • y???????

  • no...i call it american handball

  • @elliot2dkillla nah, id call it the homoerotic health and safety version of rugby.

  • @elliot2dkillla thats too bad aint it

  • its called football because the length of the ball is one foot....

  • lol maybe. What about smashball? I mean, in football (American football), we hit each other more than we do run, throw, or catch the ball. Even the guys who dont even touch the ball, like the linemen, are hitting other people. If we're gonna name it for the things we do most in football, lets call it smashball. lol

    or thrashball. lol

  • r u sure u hit people more?

i found out that in a game of rugby, there are approximatly 3 times more tackles than in american football

but rugby players do plenty of running and passing

  • well, im just talking about what the players IN THE SPORT do more in a GIVEN GAME! Like soccer is called football b/c you're using your foot to kick the ball more than you are using ur hands to block it from going in the goal DURING a soccer game, right?

So naturally, football, while you do alot of other shit, you're hitting people more in an Am football game than you are catching or throwing DURING an Am Football game.

  • Depends which position you play. I played prop for my school first team. I was lucky if i touched the ball once a game.

  • Comment removed

  • ive seen part of a match

    i saw hardly any

    just saying

  • Comment removed

  • both kinda

  • lol no offence but mydo they call it football i mean they barelyy use theirr feet

    lol american handball

  • idk why they call it that but it aint changin soon haha. I'm just used to football as football and your football as soccer.

i have to say i like the name Gridiron

  • the o line is part of the trenches

  • @killwill07 just go watch soccer slide tackels and then see which one has more contact

  • Comment removed

  • because it is a collision sport, especially with ray lewis, you would die from alot of the hits you would take if you didnt have the pads. Rugby is tough as hell, i know that. But rugby doesnt have the huge hits like football, and football doesnt have the eyegouging like rugby does. Completely different sports. Also, if you took the time to watch a football game, its kindof like a living chess match

  • yer ive wathed it before it was pretty funny they got barley any balance

  • @football4655 thats your opinion

  • @football4655 ok the rugby hits are hard but not as hard as the nfl because ppl in the nfl are super athletes and run three times as fast then ppl in rugby. If u have a 250 lbs LB running at full speed hit someone without pads, that person would die.

  • @wetnoodleslapper james haskell (england rugby forward) weighs 251lbs and people seem to be able to tackle him without ending up dead, so please explain your theory

  • @123helmet football players run faster and the hit would be harder, and rugby hits are not as dead on as football hits lets be honest

  • @football4655 i thought foot ball was to have fun and entertain audiences not get killed or crippled

  • @football4655 American football hits are a lot harder than rugby and Australian football because of the nature of the game, hence the padding and helmets. Without them, there would be a lot of blood, broken bones, and serious head and neck injuries. I'm not saying the game is better or tougher than those other games, just that it's genuinely different and it requires different equipment.

  • @CrusaderAttack the hits are the same its same rules on tackling when i was 16 some US footballers come down to england and we played them at rugby and kicked there ass and then played them at american football but we said we have to play with no padding and we kicked there ass again and that was first time we ever played and thay was ment be the best school

  • @wiganerrmc i disagree. football hitting technique is all taught with the idea of padding in mind, which is why its more of a missile/spear than a drag/push like in rugby. if you had played in pads your guys would've been laid out play after play. of course they are going to play bad with no padding. they're used to flying after the ball and leading with the head, then you remove the padding and they feel naked. rugby technique is vastly different than football technique.

  • @000EatMan000 the tackels are the same same rules and everything

  • @wiganerrmc tackle technique is radically different

  • @CrusaderAttack No its not Rugby has been shown to be pound for pound harder in tackles then AF, But your right it's all about the sport!

  • its not all of it cause there isnt any of it

  • But what are you proving online?

A person is entitled to their own options on what he/she likes or dislikes. Don't hate on it.

  • more contact in football but in soccer is that there is only shinguards and you get more fucked up in soccer

  • yes only shinguards, but more fucked up in soccer? please, go watch some football big hits. that shit never happens in soccer.

  • i didnt say you get dont get fucked up in football but soccer is just a harder sport and you have to deal with more

  • football is definately more physical. Soccer is a harder sport i think endurance wise.

  • @killwill07 just shut the fuck up man! what the fuck are you trying to prove? DAMMN MAN! theyre just SPORTS! calm the fuck down. to usa american football will always be best, and regular football will be best to the rest. its that simple.

  • haha dude im not freaking out, i know they are sports. Im not trying to prove anything really, in my first comment i was just saying why football has its padding. I dont even know where rugby came into this, and to be honest youtube is confusing right now so i cant really remember how all this stuff went along haha, sorry if i came off as an american self-righteous football dick (or somehting along those lines)

  • @11Kushy10 Trust me football has alot more contact then soccer...

  • Comment removed

  • in soccer they BUMP eachother with there body..they dont tackle people and knock them over like football does..haha man your so stupid...ok ok which sport has more injuries? yeah thats what i thought because football has WAY more contact

  • @svtcobra888

american football is an impact sport, while association football is a contact sport. statistically both sports are just as likely to get injuries! in association football you regularly see players getting knee and ankle ligament damage due to mistimed tackles as well as the occasional broken leg or broken foot bone! if you look on youtube you can see Axel Witsel's mitimed tackle while playing for Standard Liege, which resulted in a broken leg

  • @svtcobra888 noooo. soccer is just as demanding and it DOES actually have A LOT of physical contact.

  • @svtcobra888 actually soccer and football have a similar rate for injuries...remember soccer players don't wear protection and helmets...think before you make these comments bro..

yes football has harder hits...but they are wearing pads

  • @beats1n1shit..yeah but football u tackle every play and run over people, get hit buy 300 pound line man every play...soccer most that happens is a slide tackle. i watch soccer ive played soccer and i dont see them tackling them to the ground every second. yeah soccer has contact but its only shoulder and alot of body pushing

  • @svtcobra888 that is legal contact. you havent played long enough if you arent always watching every part of your body because it gets targeted. once you get to a high enough level it is constant elbows that will not get called and a lot of punches in the nuts

  • You should call it Incomplete pass ball for the bears.

  • hahahahahahahahaha! nice.

  • nah its shaped like an egg and thrown with ur hands, hence rugby or throwball, u choose

  • @SiMpleHeArtedSkaterX lol it's funny because association football's name doesn't derive from kicking the ball. and i don't know what your eggs look like, mbut our eggs don't have points on the end

  • ....what??!?! How is the ball shaped like a foot? it's shaped like a lemon. What kind of foot do you have if its shaped like a lemon??!?

  • I guess you can't take sarcasm.

  • @footballforever20 Nah, AWESOME is more fitting.

  • @footballforever20 strangely enough on you tube if you wanna watch football you have type in soccer.. if you type in Football all you get is People throwing balls in the air in the USa

  • @peterpetersnbg whenever i type in football into youtube here in britain association football comes up not american steroidball ;)

  • @sij747 ime english and live Germany maybe you tube has a differnet search system in The uk dont know :-)

  • @footballforever20 It can't be called that because we don't throw the ball on every play.

  • @footballforever20 padded handegg is better

  • @footballforever20 i said so myself

  • @footballforever20 I say Downball (because of the downs in American Football)

  • Step 1:Hold your breath

    Step 2:go to another video

    Step 3: add this comment

Step 4:did you make it if you didi you are a good kisser

  • Step 1:Hold your breath

    Step 2:go to another video

    Step 3: add this comment

Step 4:did you make it if you didi you are a good kisser

  • naw i dont think so, i mean in strength rugby is wins, but stamina and pace soccer takes it

  • should be renamed football meets handegg

  • lol beckham wins win it comes to money fame and other ish but bush wins wen it comes to having a hot chick on his arm kim kardashian or victoria beckham jaja we all know hu wins tht fight by miles

  • well by knock out in the first seconds of the first round

  • u know its just different for different people. I'd rather choose posh because of her smiles and her cuteness. I agree that kim kardashian is sexy with nice booty but those are too big for me. It all depends on your opinions.

  • jaja kim is hotter thn victoria even kim is better looking victoria isn't a v pretty girl

  • as i told you, its just ur opinion.

  • oki guess so never know any1 to fancy posh jaja

  • well I do because as far as i know about her, she is just a pornstar for me. You want to marry a woman like her? Hell no.... one night stand would be great though.

  • jaja she had sex on tape with her long term boyfiend at the time ppl make sex tapes its like fetishes of deres hers just manged to get out tht is funny though though she is a serial dater linked with loads of black men

  • Yeah ok, most of em r lard arses!

  • say it to their faces jaja 100kg can move at 10m/s in one of new zealands players

  • they only move that fast when there running for a burger.

  • LOL

  • thats club, thats not national, and i mean in the development of players from when they are young.

  • I really doubt USA will ever dominate soccer... Soccer is not just a sport it is a lifestyle that requires a very unique culture to flourish. No wonder third world countries beat first world countries in soccer regularly. It requires physical, mental, emotional, technical and tactical synergy for a team to function at a world class level, 45 minutes every half... no breaks and only three player changes. There is nothing close to that in US sports.

  • Australian Rugby League, 40min halves, running full on into 3 or more blokes at a time, getting dragged, pushed, pulled to the ground and you have to stand up quickly and play the ball. Bone crunching tackles, shoulder charges that knock 100kg blokes off their feet, only 4 reserves. Each sport has it's merits.

  • still get breakes every once in a while.

though very physical its not as mental as soccer

  • you got that right when i was born in peru now i live in the usa when i was 6 years old i was already playing with kids that were 14 or older me and my friends use to get our ass kicked but than we all played to enjoy i miss those days nothing has come close to those childhood years :(

  • well reggie completely missing the goal from 5 meters out sort of kills that theory, just because they are good at their respective sports doesnt mean they would be any good at others.

  • they would have to have been playing from a really young age to be upto standard and even then theres a chance they still wouldnt dominate. america is good at sports because of the money they poor into it, in soccer money doesnt really matter which is why you have 3rd world countrys that are amongst the best in the world.

  • they would suck

  • i dont think beckham could have done better with that PK

  • not ever

  • yer of course you are, but yet on your proflie or you got favourited is some neeeky game....

And you talk like an american and yet say 'football' instead of soccer....you sure you actually play these games and not just 'had a go at them' once of twice in gym class or PE

  • 1. Doesn't make sense

    2. You sed Internation you retard. The word is 'international'

    3. Have you ever watched a game of cricket...

    4. Poor?...really...and i was talking about ur comments wording...not the grammer, it just generally made no sense...

haha, how do you know i don't play sports, u even clicked on my youtube name? Also 'You dont even play sports no shit' isn't a sentance making me athletically and intelectually better than you.

    Soccer sucks my balls.

  • hahahahahaha

    where do i start...

    1. You posted this twice you dumbass

    2. International was the word you were searching for...too big for you was it now?

    3. Can you read...i said cricket was crap

    4. 'worst stupid ever'...that aint even a sentance

    5. You need to know when to use the word soccer and football as well...coz you just made no sense with your last comment

Generally you just didn't make sense...All in all, this was an epic fail from you.

    oh btw, soccer sucks...

  • Thats coz the olympics suck...who even cares about the olympics....saying football is more popular than it is like saying football is more popular than something shit like cricket.

  • Football vs nfl Gridiron

Football as an Olympic event aint worth a great deal as only under 23's play...plus the Football World Cup dwarfs the Olympics.

Beckham should stick to Football as opposed to nfl Gridiron as he looks a right queer in shoulder pads, helmet, tights, spandex. Anyhow Beckham is over-rated as a Footballer and wouldnt ever be considered at top 10 in world at any point in his career. Who the black dude is in this clip beside him i have absolutely no idea.

  • that black guy you think is a random person thats reggie bush, one of the dopest running backs to ever play football

  • Reggie Bush.. one of the best NFL RB's

  • actually he CAN hold a ball you fagg, he can even kick it from far away and score you dumn fuck, David Beckham is a legend in England!Reggie just doesnt know how to kick a circled soccer ball thats all

  • derekjeter my ass

  • ahh shut up about the whole football/soccer thing. yes we call it football. america calls it soccer. get over it.

  • Mikeike999 it's not called soccer it's FOOTBALL CUZ THE USA HAVE TAKEN THE NAME OF IT AND FOOTBALL IS THE NAME OF THAT THAT IT IS A BALL AND WE SHOOT WITH A FOOT AND THE YOUR ''FOOTBALL'' CAN BE NAMED SOCCER!

  • it shuld have been LT and DB

  • bush shoots like if it was american football lmao!!!

  • lol, kind of looks like a kick beckham made a few years back.

  • lol

  • A rugby player would get killed in the NFL if they had no pads.

  • compare rugby or australian rules footy to NFL, THEN talk which is man's game, minimal protection used there boys ! Footy is much less a contact sport, more a quick, fast team game

  • haha. wow. big words from 20% dickhead. lol.

  • LOL! Your right!

  • American's and Canadians are badass!

  • rock on my canadian brother all of those fags in europe who play soccer have no idea what a manly tough sport is. LaX, the NFL, the CFL, and the NHL are so much more badass than fag soccer.

  • Thanks.

  • so rugby isnt a manly sport. I love NFL, and admit its a tough sport, but rugby is solid!!

  • who gives a fuck what sport is more badass?! soccer (football as its known in england) is the most famous and popular sport in the world, not to mention the most skillful, so when u go and play your "badass" sports, remember its coz u couldnt make it in soccer

  • HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA...wow, i can't wait till you wake up and realise how boring soccer is...

  • can't wait till you get it up the ass.

  • wow dude your so right

  • whos the otha guy? i mean otha than beckham
