me gusta mucho mas que ninguna otra epoca la manera en que guilmour toca durante el solo guitar durante time en los bootleg de 1972. es languido espacial y exprecivo
All music however favoured or despised is an expression of human nature - a deep longing to manifest the secret invisible, the hidden world into something that our ears can embrace & comprehend. Gone they may be from human form, but our air is theirs even decades apart may the legends live on! Long live Def Leppard and Floyd!
This is the best performance of time I've seen thus far.Gilmore and rick wright are fantastic when they were able to act with some creative license.Waters called them a "spent force", I think thats because he ran them into the ground. Each album got progressively less progressive if you know what I mean.I love all their 60's and 70's work, but the band was better when roger wasnt being such a gestapo
Is there any....way one can lo...se or get rid of...the ann....oying buff.....ering circle...that keeps st....opping and sta....rting. There has go.....t to be a way.
David Gilmour is singing the verses ("Ticking away...) and Richard Wright is singing the chorus ("Lying, supine in the sunshine..."). Then David comes in on the chorus aswell, harmonising with Rick, starting on the line "...and then one day you find..."
David then sings through all of 'Breathe Reprise', with Rick coming in and harmonising over the line "Far away, across the field...".
Not really. In order for it to be sutible for "The Wall", it would have to be a very empty song, with few melodic moments, and highly questionable, and up-tight lyrics.
At 2:32, the line "Waiting for someone or something to show you the way", it sounds like Gilmour says "You fritter for someone..." as if he was about to repeat the 2nd line.
yeah that is kinda cool; i think David sings "waiting for someone..." while Rick starts with "You fritter and.." and then stops singing since he realized they are not on the same page; then he comes back in
That is one thing I like about all of these old clips, you really get to follow how these songs were changed and tweaked before being 'locked down' in album form.

@slingblade98 I like that statement, 'Progressively less progressive.' I dig what your saying.

I think it's Rick and Roger sing verses and Rick sings refrain

I don't believe that Roger sings at all on this track.

I think the transition from "TIme" to "Breathe (Reprise)" is one of the most satisfying and beautiful musical moments on record.

the song "Vera" off The Wall has a "beautiful change" like that too.. its amazing.
Raab1068 1 year ago 2
i think i like the song more in its earlier stages, as really sad and depressing.
almost something that could be suitable for The Wall, really.
