Here is some food for thought...imagine Zo's intensity combined with Shaq's phyiscal gifts. The sad thing is that never seems to happen. Only once can i recall a player who was phyiscally superiour to his peers and had developed better technical skills...his name was MICHAEL JORDAN.
lets be real...a dunk is two points....in todays NBA everyone seems to be a super freak when it comes to speed, strenght, and jumping ability. Don't let one or two highligt define your perspective of a player. A 10 plus year career comes with highlights and lowlights. The bottom line in this comparison is that Vince never seemed to care where as Zo was one of the most intense players ever. Then again, thats just my take.
that was one hell of a block, VC literally powers it down so its almost impossible to block (fast, pressure pushing down on the ball). damn good block.
its sad today when little kiddies think that some poor mans dominique wilkens dunks on a guy, that makes him better?Zo is a hall of famer who won a title at carters expense. Not to mention,he is a much MUCH better all around player than carter will ever hope to be.His claim to fame is a dunk(clearly a push off)on a 36 year old,who is a shell of what he was.You kids have alot to learn.
wtf? i said that it was one hell of a block. I know all about Zo and VC. Vince Carter's dunks are hard to block because they're so fast... wtf are you talking about?
If Zo is so much better than Vince, why did everyone (they still do actually) complain about how the Raptors got screwed when they traded Vince for Zo, Eric and Aaron Williams, and 2 first-round draft picks. If Zo ALONE was better than Vince like you say, that means the Raptors got 2 rotation players and 2 first round draft picks essentially for nothing.
By your logic, it was a great trade for the Raptors. Yet people still say the Raptors got screwed in that trade (which they did).
stop sounding like you are all that cuz you are older. so what you watched basektball in the 80's or 70's. and who cares if zo is more well rounded than carter, i dont even know how you can compare the two since they play comletely differently, his claim to fame which was a foul on mourning, was probably replayed more times than every highlight of alonzo combined
sometimes u block sometimes u get dunked on.. thaz jus how it goes.. ZO's is a good shot blocker but Vince got him bad when he was with da nets.. This was sweet block tho..
It's always an amazing moment when a legendary dunker challenges a legendary shot blocker in the air. VC, MJ, ZO and Hakeem have all blocked and dunked on each other. All legends in their own rights.
LOL...Is it a rejection if its a foul?,...zo practically got no ball nearly all hand...id love to to someone get a clean swat on vc...that would be sweet!!
you gotta respect zo, no matter how many times he gets banged on, he never stop trying to reject you. You cant say that bout shaq, he stay moving out the way, or fouling the person
You can't screw around with a good shot-blocker back there. I don't care if you're Jordan or Dr. J or Vince Carter, a shot-blocker might get you if you ain't careful.
I don't know what parallel universe you're watching this clip from, but for the people in this universe, if you pause the clip at 00:07 you can clearly see Zo's hand 100% on the ball. Your best strategy is to do the same as the rest of the Carter nuthuggers: Stick to mentioning how many times Carter dunked on him in recent years, post kidney problems.
zo was always getting posterized though, Ewing, Mj, Scottie, Shaq.....but he's still one hell of a player. If you're a shotblocker, they're gonna get u one day.
lamerection what are you saying. Sure he got dunked on by those players, but not as many times as he blocked there shots. Besides I don't even think scottie even dunked on him before.
this was the first and the last time alonzo would do that to VC
ajoj0909 11 months ago
and then he posterized the crap out of mourning a thousand more times LOL
