So many years after Tammy's untimely death and its still so painful and heartbreaking to hear this. I heard Richey died recently, how sad and dispicable that he didnt make it right with Tammy's precious daughters, to ask for their forgiveness for his part in her death and for keeping all of her hard earned money for his greedy self and greedy family instead of giving the girls what their mother wanted them to have. Hope he made peace with His Creator, otherwise......

wow...whenever I talk about the 90's to people I say "In the 90's, every genre of music lost someone special" and I go through the genre's and name people and whenever I mention country, I always mentioned Tammy's name, even though I never knew that much about her. She really was the MJ of country music, I mean if you know the stories, they're eerily similar...watching this made me sad.

just to let you all know george richey died not to long ago of cancer he is buried in the same cemetery that tammy is buried in thank god not in the same mosouleium that she is i hope now that tammy's daughters get there mom's personal effects now and not that gold diggin bitch sheila!! her mom's personal items are on display at the country music hall of fame until june of 2011 in nashville a must see for all you tammy fans!!

Tammy's death was definitely what most of us would call a true tragedy. The truth of what happened is known only by George Richey and Tammy and unfortunately one isn't talking (except to issue self-serving B.S.) and the other is dead, but my gut instinct tells me Richey gave her an overdose--whether intentionally or accidentally.

my feeliing to this day is that i think if one of her daughters would have been very stong minded and really grab the problems by the horns and stepped in i think they might have had a chance i don't care how much power george richey had if i had suspected problems my mom was having i would have steped in no matter what the consequnces were and did something when it comes to your mom or dad let no one step in your way i would have never left that house till something was done!!!

I don't know what Tammy saw in George Richey, i really don't. That fat piece of shit should be in jail for murdering Tammy. The day Tammy died she was apparently having pains in her legs, a classic sign of a pulmonary embolism (blood clot) , but george richey gave her pain killers. If she was taken to hospital she could have been saved. In the years coming up to her death you could see there was something wrong as she aged very quickly and went very frail. When no autopsy was done there should have been an investigation immediately. George richey should be in prison for man slaughter along with the Dr.

Tammy should never have married George Richey. I think George he loved her money but did'nt love her. It's a little creepy - but sad - to think of George calling his lawyer and - was it the doctor in PA - before he called Tammy's children. It brings to mind the terrible time when Ted Kennedy left Mary Jo submerged in a water filled car to go and call his lawyer before reporting the drive off the bridge . What more evidence does anyone need when you hear of - I call both of these men villains - caring for no one but themselves who deserve to be in jail. - Tammy had wonderful friends. - Paula

All I have to say love isn't injecting someone with medications to keep them pain free and doped. Love is helping someone beat their addiction and living longer...plain and simple. And if Mr Richey did assist in killing her with the medications for monetary gain..he's an idiot. Cause anyone is more valuable alive than DEAD!!!!!!!!!!!! The events of that day are definitely strange. She laid on the couch for many hours, so who knows what time it was when she passed away. Her doctor made a diagnosis over the phone! What the heck was that all about???

Then I don't believe any authorities were immediately called to the house to secure the area. There were just so many unanswered questions as to why the events that day unfolded the way they happened.

I've thought about Tammy alot since the death of Michael Jackson and the last time I saw her backstage at the opry during her final perfromace there. I never could figure out when they played the 911 taped why the operator said they had been getting calls throughout the night about her death. At any rate she was the best of the best and the world was a better place having had her in it.
