Es gibt keine schönere und wärmere Musik, die ich kenne. Im Himmel kann es nicht schöner sein. Die Landschaftsaufnahmen, diese göttliche Walzermusik, das Wiener Philharmonische Orchester, Jahrhundertdirigent Daniel Barenboim, was will man mehr? Ich liebe diesen Walzer und wenn ich traurig bin, genieße ich ihn besonders. Sonderbar, aber diese Melodie ist so schön, wirkt aber irgendwie auch dekadent. Sie erinnert mich an meinen ersten Ball als 18-Jähriger und das ist jetzt 25 Jahre her. Bravo!

these shoes are too big for mr.barenboim,because he doesnt find the special genuine 'vienna' touch and expression.he wants to make some interesting things doing the other way round as the vienna philharmonics used to play instead of letting things run.from the vantage point of the famous orchestra a great mistake.

i remember the kleiber´s and karajan´s interpretation of this beautiful waltz at the same place.

what a great difference!

@berlinzerberus I agree that Kleiber's is very special, but Karajan's is rather bland (typical of his late years).
