around 0:28ish, i've heard that that is supposed to be the 10th Doctor's voice, but now that i've heard it so many times, i have a hard time believing it to be so.
It was awesome to hear them acknowledge some of the older doctors in this scene. First time they did more directly beyond the images of them scene in some episodes. I honsetly did not catch the tenth doctors voice at first, however. Gotta love how they threw the "let it go line" in there. David Tennant was great, but it is Matt's turn now.
@lnmgilbert2004 Or maybe he's just tired of hearing people minge on about the 10th Doctor leaving the role almost two years later. And Moffat didn't write this episode, so clearly Matthew Graham must have some insecurity issues by your logic.
Haha I loved the "NO LET IT GO WE'VE MOVED ON!!!!!!" Hear that Tennant fanatics? He was an amazing Doctor and I love him but Matt Smith is the Doctor now and an EPIC ONE AT THAT!!!!! I'm glad he's the Doctor!!!! I love him just as much, if not more, than David!
@ZeldarProductions1 Actually that's wrong. The second when we hear Tom Baker's voice, actually is from a classic series storyline known as "The Robots Of Death".
I find it interesting that Matt's voice is doing all the quotes but the Jelly Baby one. It does make me wonder if they did it so people would get that this Ganger is coping with the regenerations specifically.
Either that or Jon Culshaw is going to have a rival with Matt Smith on the Tom Baker impersonations.
This is very creepy but cool at the same time. Shows the dangers of trying to be the Doctor.
Hello! im the Doctor....No let it go we've moved on! i love that bit, and the bit where he does tom bakers Would you like a jelly baby? LOL i love doctor who
Just saying this so everyone's clear: "One day we will get back, yes, one day." A line said by the first doctor in episode one. "Reverse the polarity of the neutron flow." Said by the third twice, the fifth once, and the tenth once. Obviously everyone gets the Tom Baker reference and the David Tennant reference. ^_^
"One day, I shall come back. Yes, I shall come back," was not said in the first episode. It was said in the episode when the Doctor left Susan Foreman on Earth with David so she could start a family. That was actually a little ways into the second season of the show.
@landshark1215 "Susan and I are cut off from our own planet without friends or protection, but 'one day, we shall get back, yes, one day'." The doctor's exact words, verbatim, from episode one - season one. He may well have said that sentence in your comment in that episode, but that's not what Matt Smith says here. Those exact words are from "An unearthly child". Don't mean to come off as rude, though, and I apologize if I do. I just absolutely hate being called wrong when I'm not.
@taa347 Not to be rude, but the closest the Doctor comes to saying that line in the first episode is "We are not of this place. We are not of this Earth. We are wanderers in the fourth dimensions of space and time, cut off from our planet and our people by eons and universes that are far beyond the reach of your most advanced sciences." I just watched the episode again to be sure.
@landshark1215 I watched it too though, just so I could be sure I wasn't just being an idiot.. o.o I swear to god he says that exact line in the tardis, standing next to Susan to her teachers. The very first scene in the Tardis? I'll even go look up the exact time frame in which he says it, if you like.
@taa347 It's the episode where the First Doctor leaves Susan to be with the boy she fell in love with, most commonly the clip is heard at the very beginning of The Five Doctors before the credits start, "One day I shall came back, yes I shall come back"
@steven87gill1 So, that means we got a way of bringing back both Eleven and Ten, but how the hell are we gonna bring back Nine for a Three Doctors-special?
The point of the line is to try to get the fans who still harp over the fact that Tennant is gone and have been whining about it for the last two years to basically get over it and move on.
@TheBeeBabe I love that part as well. Everytime I see Tom Baker eating Jelly Baby it feels like I need to find those too. I mean to munch on while watching his shows that I have of the DVD's of.
@beautyoverfish Like, I'm believing that one too, totally a reference to the ten!fanatics, but when I first saw it I thought it was him getting over Rose and the other's he had to leave behind you know? Like, getting over the Time War (well, not completely,) and the Master and leaving everyone behind.
Jeez. I hope it doesn't sound like I'm saying 'no! What you're saying is not true!' because it is but...I just though...I'll shut up now.
@IpodChan no, you have a point. with the rose thing. like he's getting over the half-human him getting to be with rose when he can't, and donna and everything.
That was amazing that they used Tom Baker's voice, but it would have been an even cooler scene if they had used Jon Pertwee's voice when he said "Reverse the polaritys of the neutron flow"
Other than that thought I loved this scene! Now I want some Jelly Babies...
@kyokotakarai So did I heard Tom Baker's voice also. When I taped it off my TV of the directv and I keep it? I said to myself. Hey, that's sound like Tom Baker voice and then I rewind it back again to hear it again. And I said yes it is Tom Baker's voice. My heart jumped by hearing that again.
