to everyone else, who the hell cares what they are called. You can call it the super puppy smasher for all i care. Just do the move. What a stupid thing to argue about.
This comment isn't about the name, but rather the way in which you do it. When i wrestled in high school, coach always told us to just bring our left leg to it's knee, and drive the right foot all the way through in that direction. They still fall, and you're more protected from him regaining guard. Of course this way is correct also, just telling you what i was told. Love and respect what you guys are doing here. :)
Lol what's the deal with the names? The name of the throw doesn't change the throw itself, i can call a double leg takedown the "scrotum toss" if i want it doesn't change the fact that it's a double leg takedown
Do you guys realize I'm not using my hip at all on that throw? There are several other throws on that video including Harai Goshi. This is the reason I don't do Judo anymore. To much trolling and too much bickering. For the record anybody that comments on this from now on I want video, rank and experience if you're going to tell me what throw is what or it gets deleted.
@valhallaetc I'm not trying to be an asshole or anything cause I know this isn't harai goshi or a hip throw even, but the first throw looks more like ashi guruma than osoto gari. Like you said its a foot reap but I thought osoto gari was a leg reap and osotos minor version kosoto gari uses feet. I'm not a keyboard warrior like some other people or anything. I'm just a little confused. I hold no rank or anything like that I just read and study in my spare time alot. Thanks.
@illonebaby That's fine. It's one of those things it makes more sense when seen or performed live. When you see the angle I'm coming in at. If you can't tell I'm chest to chest. The way I've learned the throws everybody is pointing out is to change your profile so that you facing away. Not only that but the way I'm driving the leg is towards the hamstring. I appreciate the comment though.
Nice. I use these pretty much as you have shown them with good results. I'd call the first one harai goshi too, but names don't matter. Only results matter. Good video.
@OVERCAPITALIZE; if you're not going to even make an effort than just stay off. I never say o goshi. As a matter of fact I started using English translations.
Great vid thanks!

This is not Harai Goshi. Harai Goshi is the same thing with the hand wrapped around the hips.
This routine called Ogoshi with a leg throw addition, it's not a classic Judo routine.

I'll tell you what. If any of you guys out rank the guy who told me what this throw is I'll let you correct me.
