I love your glaze..its a lot brighter than the one I use. I use a method called alcohol reduction...its a pain though and you lose more pots than you gain. This seems much more effective and beautiful. may I ask what your recipe is?
The firing process is more important than the recipe.The kiln is fired to top temp and then the kiln is soaked varying the amount of reduction and oxidation this seems to help the colours develop.the recipe i use is just copper oxide and a very small amount of frit
i keep having trouble with the pieces going mostly a brick red color with just a few flashes of color at the bottom. am i not flashing or "burping" enough?
I always have trouble with this technique - Thank you, thank you, thank you for posting this video. It demonstrates the timing out of the kiln and how long to let the piece flare in the fire before placing the container on it. (I needed that).

Love your potts. I tryed only copper oxide once and if it just i left to fire long you get great results.

I use old burn't sawdust fresh softwood shavings and shredded paper
