No offense, but songs like this one are the reason why techno is about the only kind of music I really can't enjoy. The same beat without any variation for almost 4 minutes? If I had to listen to this again my brain would pop!

This track, just like the majority of techno, is meant to be dropped in a dj set in a packed club and maybe play for 2-3 minutes or so. If your lucky to hear this track on a night out, you won't think it's repetetive - you would think it's HUGE.

@joalpersson Yup, I know techno was pretty much made for a certain purpose. But I don't go to clubs that play techno, so I can't imagine thinking that it's "huge". Don't get me wrong, but I still think that -compared to other kinds of music- this is pretty easy to compose. That's why I don't get why Hood should be a "genius". Basically he just had to create one, maybe two bars of a beat and then vary it a bit.

If you play two copies at the same time, and juggle them back and forth slightly out of sync, you can get some pretty cool effects coming out. Robert Hood frequently does this when he DJs. Yes, it's super minimal, it's a mixing tool.
