u need a hardware HSDA wwan 3G.. so u can enable the 3G for that u will need to open the lenovo...and also i will need to buy the small HSDA hardware and put it on the lenovo xD.. its like $170 the unlock one u can order from ebay

i have it also in my w500. one you connect the sim you can go internet wireless using your phone provider for instance.
