Got through the whole set now and really surprised that I didn't see Nevermore in there for progressive bands. Though I know these alter ones are to promote newer bands, they are progressive giants. Believe it or not, I have listened to most of the bands on the lists before :S I spend to much time hunting down new music
@Raxisabominae I don't know what bands you're already familiar with. But I can recommend Animals as Leaders, Cynic, Scale the Summit, Spastic Ink, Blotted Science, Canvas Solaris. Hopefully some of those are new to you.
Your still missing, BTBAM which is probably then number 1 progressive metal band right now. Also Opeth, Protest the Hero, The Human Abstract, Porcupine Tree, should just call the list progressive metal bands that i like.
