I played this music in Radio Rock-Disco 12,1190am,San Juan,Puerto Rico,I was the Program Director and Morning Show,"El Gufeo Matutino",Host,Moonshadow, this music is great!!!Que viva ..LA TREMENDA!!!
This song was kinda revolution during the early 80s. It was banned even in America and other European countries. Only people from that generation can FEEL the impact of this song in SPIRIT.The people then were sensitive to even SOUNDS of pleasure which the present generation lack even looking at visuals. It is nice.
I programmed this once years ago for an afternoon aerobic class I was teaching only to find out later that four of the participants were in a wife swapping situation. Couldn't figure out why everyone was smiling and having such a great time during and after class while I was embarrassed for the musical choice. You live and learn. Great track!
I swear if I were rich, I would re-open 54 and have the same entrance policy. I would blend this music with some new stuff similar in style. I know everyone since then has either died or settled down. However, I wonder if it would fly?LOL I may never know.
The vinyl cover screams 70's!!! Nowadays, you've got prudish retailers like Wal-Mart telling Kanye West he can't put a painting of a woman's bare backside on a CD cover! Is THAT progress???
@digvijays25 haha. I am 35 too and discovering so many classic disco songs and it's like it's all new. I am so hooked. If only we continued to make music like this today.
Hi I m from mumbai India. when i first heard this song i was 12yrs. (1980) since then i like the song so much. i kept listening it again & again. Today i heard it after so long & i m so glad its on the net. GOD.........i m happy man......
@WILDSTYLENYC And a lot of other underground clubs not only in NY but all over the world. That was and is an insanely great track as you already know.
@ellerzz you had gino soccio (dancer and its alright), supernature from cerrone, and coco motion from el coco....you might also like \disco circus from the Martin cicrus band...
haven't heard this great song in decades...thanks you tube and afroman....you certainly made MY day...how about some Ritchie Family afroman? Be Good everyone
man , just joking , love disco, great track but it got that waka-chaka 70s porn guitar wah thing...and strange words/screams ...other than that, awsome
I am from a distant place of India. Only I can say that first I hear this song at a music shop in Old Calcutta(Eastern India). After that I was haunted by this song every time I heard the same. It was a banned song at home due to it's intermediate intercourse sounds by Adults, thus we used to hear on tape at rooftop, at field. It was our first love song, first ever love.
Thanks for posting the same. 3 Cheers, I wish they are here now !!
After listening to quite a few disco songs on here I guess that there must have been a huge amount of violin players who became unemployed when disco ended...
This one - and, to be honest, most Cerrone's work at the time - should be considered as to be one of the greatest disco music achieved ever. The disco atmosphere was incredible in Europe at the time - not just in NY or in LA - and a few fabulous (disco) compositions - London Orchestra included - were never played in best US spots. I was shuttling then. What a shame. Thank you very much.
In fact the GREATEST innovation by Cerrone is the one that is the hardest to hear...the triangle...
Combined with the incredibly CLEAR bass drum it gives the best disco beat EVER...If only the BeeGees had used Cerrone and his sound engineers for Staying Alive and it's magic bassline....
The music still lives on. In your mind, in your heart, and the pain when try to dance to this song again,

To mrinalch:
It´s true, as well as you felt when heard for first time this song, I and all the guys (boys and girls) I knew by those times felt the same thing.
This song and many others songs hooked our minds and senses making our bodies to dance at the rythm of the music.
It was a really great age, it lasted just 10 years but in fact it has lasted our entire lives for everyone who lived those years.
The weird thing is that this music continues hooking new bodies as you.
