At any rate, I hope you would do another album- this time on an indie label. You are too good to just disappear.

and I'd like to think I had a little hand in discovering his great talent as a director
( he was already a very successful photographer )
I picked him to do my album cover, fell in love with his talent , and we came up with the video treatment together. Although we had a very small budget compared to what he works with now,
@mariamysoul Yes, Anthony has his old "Shoot the video in a dark room with nothing but a window open" style that is very familiar, LOL!! But he has, nonetheless, made a lot of great videos.
What prompted me to buy your album was the fact it was produced by Soulshock & Karlin. I was a huge fan of a lot of the R&B and hip hop songs they did in the 90's and the stuff they did with Monica, Tracie Spencer and 2Pac. I fell in love with that record and consider it to be criminally slept on.

She has written songs for another artists like Saseline, Maria also sings background vocals on her album. Also, she has collaborated with Mikkel Solnado among others.
I don't know if she is releasing new stuff on her own, wish she would. Her debut album is amazing!

@Mulania007 I don't think A Fine Frenzy and Maria are in the same category though. Tons of people remember 'Almost Lover'. Next to no one remembers 'I Give, You Take'. Plus, A Fine Frenzy has had multiple albums. Maria has not. You can find info on A Fine Frenzy, it's almost impossible to find info on Maria.

almost 8 years since My soul was released, just one month before Dreamworks got sold
I know the album never got the chance it deserved
but I was ok with it, since it was already a success to make music I loved and an album om my terms,
I just can't believe that so many still take the time to write me and comment , that they love the album and want me to make more music
I have learned that although I'm a private person,
I love to revile my soul in songs and can't live with out making music
