  • I know have a bunch of friends who rewatch Disney movies and get nostalgia. When I rewatch them, I'm appaled at the stereotypes they squeezed in, that I probably laughed at as a kid because I didn't know how wrong it was. Way to go, Disney. Good job.

  • @KaeruKami

    >Stereotypes

    >Wrong

    Pick one.

  • raugh out roud!

  • Did anyone notice the racist part from about 0:00 to 0:20 ?

  • @phsycoticchicken47 nope :P

  • I think Disney made us all racist.

  • Having that word "chink" is pretty racist to begin with, to be fair i don't even understand why youtube let's you keep this vid up i mean i'm white so i guess i don't really give that much of a fuck but still just wow! :P

  • At least they didn't make fun of black cats.

  • fuck this, im high

  • the only racist thing here in the fact that the video is in 240p

  • my fortune cookie was wrong too :(

  • not sure 240p counts as "full, high quality"

  • @mattlohkamp This cartoon is from what, like the 60's right? so yea it probably is pretty close.

  • @video166 high quality would be a scan of the original film, not a dubbed vcr rip with poor audio quality and compression artifacts. Just because it's old doesn't mean it can't look good - you don't think it looked liked this in theatres, do you?

  • @mattlohkamp Well it is a streaming video, he could have uploaded it at like 400p and it came out around half of that because its streaming over the internet?

  • This is extremery hirarrious.

  • title of this vid = the definition of irony?

  • This isn't racist. Egg foo young is an Asian cuisine, and saying so doesn't imply any sort of hatred. It's just a fact. As for fortune cookies, the rhyme doesn't lie there either. They are always wrong, but saying so doesn't imply hatred either. I know they'll never predict my future, but I like them all the same. All in all, this is a fun jingle he sings, and the fact it's a Siamese cat singing it is just appropriate to me! Makes it less racist, if it even WAS, which it's not. Go Disney!

  • I don't care what this video implies I laughed! Who couldn't unless you take things in life to seriously!

  • Siamese cats originated from an Asian country. stop being uptight dumbasses.

  • I didn't even notice this when i was a kid!!

  • I ror'd so hard I rorred on the froor raffing

  • Comment removed

  • @FeralHydra75 I was going to be offended by your comment since i'm half asian, but I saw you're a fellow Soul Eater fan. So yeah. Take it as a compliment I guess?

  • @xPrice1126x Which comment?

  • This is fucking hysterical

  • ARISTROCRATS HERRO

  • this is actually pretty scary if you think about it

  • Im Asian, And I laughed. Although the cats actually Siamese not a "Chink"... He isn't chinese.

  • hahaha stupid people overreacting to this shit...

  • racist nigger monkey

  • Engrish was already a meme back in the 60's!

  • so not racist! just true

  • I'll admit, I just pissed myself laughing. XDDD

  • This used to make me laugh until I cried when I was little XD

  • @2k7Roni @Giann57Angelito Are these your relatives perhaps?

  • Seems pretty accurate. If you go to Hong Kong or Shanghai you will see things are often like this video.

  • Walt Disney inspired me to hate everyone including white people, r.I.p Disney I mean mine fuhrer hahaha

  • If you keep pressing 6 then 4 it looks and sounds like something is going in his ass

  • 00:13 "Fuck yu cookie always wrong"

  • Egg roll good pwice!!

  • I recently rewatched aristocats (I LOVED this movie when I was little) and my friends and I found this hilarious xD

  • And the sad thing is, the cat is called a SIAMESE.

  • Good ol' racist Disney...

  • Seriously, people who say that this is just stereotyping and it's not racist, are completely stupid. It's called racial stereotyping and it is racist. I mean for real, wake the fuck up.

  • @eleventhousandfour There's a difference between a joke and racism. Racism means that you'd either talk down to a group of people, or that you'd say "oh, well because they're black they're not as good as me, because I'm a white ass!" (do not take that one seriously, only an example, I have nothing against black people) The definition of a joke is something only meant to be funny and not to be taken 100 % seriously, shortly: this is a joke! Disney even got cleaned of charges.

  • @IqmasterDaNinja Dude, stereotypes based on race/country are also considered offensive. Labeling all chinese as babblinb squinted eyes, eating with chopsticks, etc is just as racist as saying that all black ppl love to eat at kentucky fried chicken.

Its just racism/prejudice, no excuse for it. How would you feel if someone said thatALL ppl on your country (denmark) are barbarian whiteys that dislike taking a shower? See? Labeling/stereotyping is just racism as well

  • @PunkLobo You have zero understanding of the way anything works. and you just follow what everyone else says. you completely stereotyped black people by making that example and made yourself look just as much guilty as the person you were scolding. Siamese cats are from an Asian country. stop automatically assuming it's about Chinese people, because that makes you look like the prejudice... judging before knowing anything. Siam was Thailand. Asia. Therefore Asian inspired cat. Get over yourself.

  • @eleventhousandfour Racism implies hatred of an entire race. Go look it up. Sounds like you're the only one with hatred in your veins.

  • This isn't racist, it's just a childish stereotype. It's like how cartoons always protray Dutch people as always wearing clogs, French as being painters with barets and a baguette under their arms, Germans as always wearing lederhosen, etc. Only very ignorant people would take offense to things like this.

  • "Oh boy ferras, rets rock the joint!" lololol

  • BOY HE BREW IT

  • lolz, its clearly racist. His goofy appearence, mockery of chinese culture as he wears a metal instrument instead of a proper hat, has his eyes closed throughout the scene as mockery to the racist idea that asians cant see properly, how he makes up garble english words as in contrast that the chinese language is "shanghai, hongkong egg fu yung" etc its like saying "ting ying ping lee!" its mocking it in a more subtle way or very unsubtle way. This is for kids, what the hell is Disney doing?

  • @patsybob

Actually, this was made in the 1970s. It was based on the stereotypes. This is the ORIGINAL disney. Athough, yes it is very rascist :P and the fact that the cats SIAMESE.

  • Chanks

  • Aristocats was my favourite movie when I was little. :D

  • *listens only* WHAT THE!? I didn't know Tigger was Chinese!

  • Japanese, koreans, vietnamness all use chopsticks

    it's not necessarily a chink

  • When I first actually listened to what he said, I couldn't tell whether I wanted to laugh or not o_o

  • "Shanghai, Hong Kong, Egg foo young

    Fortune cookie always wrong.

    Oh, that a hot one!"

  • Comment removed

  • lol

  • gook

  • Geddit? hes playing... *puts on sunglasses* chopsticks. YEAAAAAAAA!!!!!!

  • LOLLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLLOLOLOL HAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!!!!

  • I miss good ol' fashion crazy blatant racism. Nowadays, it's all "Socialism" this and "secret Muslim" that.

  • so.............where is this from?

  • @Greyz174

    Aristocats

  • I find it rather lolsy that this is my fovorite cat in that whole movie. Seriously how can you not love this cat.

  • ROFL!

  • Boy he brew it!

  • SHANGHAI HONG KONG EGG FOO YONG! FORTUNE KOOKIE ALWAYS WRONG! I love the aristocats.

  • OH BOYFERRAS RETS ROCK THE JOINT

  • Comment removed

  • Its not really racist, its stereotyping. In like every disney movie, asians are portrayed with slanted eyes, buck teeth, etc. And thats what they did here. Also, do you play the piano with your forks? I didnt think so.

  • @TheWolfgirl11 so if i call a black person smelly dirty and their culture is always wrong and stuff, im not racist im just being stereotyping?

  • @SnowyHil no, that is being racist, this vid is being stereotypical

  • Dirty chinese man "CHINK"

  • That cat is obviously racist against fortune cookies.. Their lifestyle isnt wrong!

  • thumbs up if u typed chink in the search box

  • At first I thought this was Tigger from Winnie the Pooh, (the voice) o.o

  • @XxGlassXHeartsxX Tigger and the cat had the same voice artist, Paul Winshell (sp?)

  • @XxGlassXHeartsxX THATS BECAUSE IT IS LOL AND THOMAS O MALLY IS BALOO IN THE JUNGLE BOOK AND THE MOUSE IS WINNIE THE POOH AND THE SNAKE ON JUNGLE BOOK

  • oh come one its not racist its not like their saying the cat is bad because its siamese its just funny

  • ok, you titled this "Racist Chink cat"

    ...

  • wow...good job Disney.

  • hold down 2.

  • If this is racism, then I don't see what all the fazz about racism is about.

  • rofl, love that cat i'm chinese and i can care less

  • ah~ good ol' racist disney

  • chinks are subhumans

  • Ah,I miss when Disney was like this...

  • Disney tells me to laugh at asians.

  • @liglugtheslug you should laugh at them anyway! Whong chong chewy chao!!

  • Ret's rock this joint!

  • "How do you know if a Chinese person has robbed your house?

Your homework is done, your computer is upgraded, but two hours later, the ****er is still trying to back out of your driveway."

  • I love this cat he is funny i could laugh at this all day ( ok so i saw a vid were they were breaking down disney songs and calling them racist i don't get it its a kids movie its not like kids are gonna go out side and make fun of different races but hey not my problem)

  • My Siamese cat is SO offended by this inaccurate portrayal of Asian felines!

  • Ohohoh that a hot one

  • 0:12 Fuck You Cookie?....... I WANT 10!!!

  • I can see the racisem in it but it's not a big deal. This movie was made back before all the PC crap. There is always gona be rasisem in cartoon and other animation.

  • "Boy he brew it!"

  • @jcommyn Green Tea FTW!

  • It's funny indeed, but I don't see what's racist about it

  • I laughed so hard when he started playing with those damn chop sticks!

  • What song is this from? I can't find it.

  • FUCK YOU COOKIE ALWAYS WRONG ROFL

  • Those were the good old days...

  • fuck you cookie always wrong lol

  • *FORTUNE COOKIES ALWAYS WRONG* HAHAHAHHA

  • 0:12

  • Man! That was one of my favorite movies! But I guess you're right.

  • only on youtube could something titled "racist chink cat" exist

  • this will never not be funny

  • I see the truth of it.

  • ....its a siamese cat with a japanese accent singing about china....O.O;

  • disney

Owning non white-causcaion nations since the 1920s

  • Tigger, what did they do to you?! :(

  • @GenericOverusedName Holy crap! I never realized... You just made my reality crumble. I just found out the voice of Baby Sinclair from Dinosaurs has the same voice as Elmo and now this? I need therapy...

  • "Fortune cookie always wrong".

    This cat is damn right.

  • I can't believe how random that is. The cat's just playing is trumpet all jazzy and cool and out of nowhere the kitten starts jammin' out on the piano. Then that fucking cat already holding chopsticks starts playing his song. Then the movie literally goes back to what it's doing. It's lie, "what the fuck did I just see?"

  • @STOOPIDDUMBY This number combined pretty much music genre out there. Rock, Jazz, Blues, Swing, Ballad, even a rave. That is what I call Prog Rock.

  • Comment removed

  • 0_06 BIG ASS!!!

  • "shanghai hongkong egg foo yung, fortune cookie always wrong."

    Cat speaks the truth.

  • ~(._. ~ )

    I saw no racism

  • yes its kind of racist but the cat is a Siamese which did originate in Asia

  • Haha chink cat

  • Too bad Disney could never do something like this again. The world has the cancer of political correctness now and people can't just enjoy a joke without pretending they are "deeply offended" and then sue.

  • @Wortcraft Oh yes, we should all hearken back to the good ol' days of when the average American could celebrate their exalted social status by denigrating people of different races and culture.

Now the only thing left for you to do is to complain about political correctness, Affirmative Action and watch Glenn Beck (ironically complain about anti-White racism, which is - after all - the only racism that counts).

Oh woe! How the Mighty have fallen!!

  • @mikepalomino

Here's the perfect example of a whiny leftist who can't take a joke in a children's cartoon.

Why don't you go cry some more about the grave injustices of Western society and watch some Rachel Maddow and Keith Olbermann?

  • @Wortcraft At least own up to your beliefs instead of hiding behind the excuse that it was a joke.

You hate Political Correctness not because it's ethically / morally wrong but because it forces you to countenance the shame that such beliefs & behavior ought to bring.

And while I do acknowledge that some who try to enforce PC may at times go overboard, I - for one - do not lament it. Offensive stereotypes DO have an effect on peoples' lives and they need to be confronted.

  • @mikepalomino

Sounds like you need some real problems in your life to worry about.

Politically correct multiculturalist lefties like you are the reason Europe is dying quickly. They are being invaded by fascist Islamic supremacist Muslims, and hardly anyone is speaking out against it for fear of being branded a "racist" and a "bigot." Meanwhile, major European cities like Paris have "no go" areas where Muslim gangs are in charge and radical imams are the judge, jury, and executioners.

  • @Wortcraft Heh your blatant xenophobia is charming. You can call me all the names you want. Personally I don't waste my time hating on people. I don't even hate you. I'm just trying to do my part to make this a better world. I abhor racism. So much of it is misdirected anger and anxiety. Claims of "Eurabia" are greatly exaggerated, no different than Americans fearing the "hordes" of Irish and Italians and Jews in the 1800's and 1900's. People assimilate.

  • @mikepalomino

Read "America Alone" by Mark Steyn. Maybe some exposure to real knowledge and truth will open your eyes and eject you from fantasy land. You know, that land where conservatives and Christians in the bible belt are the world's most dangerous villains, while the Muslim minorities, who have a religious obligation to kill and subjugate any non-Muslim, are always the victims of an oppressive "racist" society (even though being Muslim is not related to race.)

    You are blind.

  • @Wortcraft "Take care when fighting monsters lest you become one yourself" is all I can offer. Seems pointless to continue any discussion, I doubt anything I'll say will convince you otherwise. Nevertheless this fixation on Islam is reminiscent of the "New Atheists' who attack & insult Christians; by attacking all as enemies you alienate those who might otherwise listen and in turn only alienate yourself. Radical Islam IS dangerous but not all Muslims are Islamists. Big difference.

  • @mikepalomino

There are moderate Muslims, but no moderate Islam. Muhammad was quite clear that Muslims must fight against non-Muslims until they 1) convert 2) agree to live as second class "dhimmis" or 3) declare war on the Muslims. Islam is radicalizing across the globe, fueled by Saudi oil money, and those who were once moderates are getting closer to the Islam that was practiced during Muhammad's time. Muhammad beheaded between 600 and 900 unarmed people and married a 6 year old girl.

  • @Wortcraft Yes, yes... I've heard it all before. I will grant that much of the Islamic world is stuck in a medieval mindset. However to pin it all on Mohammad and the Koran is a narrow-sighted view of a much more complex picture. There is plenty of geopolitical history that is just as relevant, not the least of which is European colonialism. Moreover, you cannot single-out Islam without also looking at Christianity's own ugliness and historical penchant for violent proselytizing.

  • @mikepalomino

Yes, I can single out Islam, since it is the only major religion that condones the murder and subjugation of nonbelievers. Only a PC multiculturalist would turn an argument away from Islam, giving it a pass for its barbarism, by making Christianity the real villain. You do this for two reasons 1) Islam is primarily practiced by minorities, and 2) Christianity is widely practiced by white conservatives, and we all know how they are the biggest villains to you lefties.

  • @mikepalomino

And when I single out Islam, I'm not saying crimes weren't committed in the name of Christianity. However, those crimes were not justified by biblical scriptures. Nowhere in the New Testament could you find commandments from Jesus to kill and conquer all others through violence, while in the Qur'an, you can see Muhammad himself committing murder and rape, and telling his followers to do likewise. That's the difference.

And no, I'm not Christian, but Christianity is much tamer

  • Also, by condemning over a billion Muslims because of the faith they were born into - which no one has control over - you're only perpetuating a vicious cycle. You alienate the moderates who can, if recruited, reform Islam (no easy feat, admittedly). Instead by casting them all into the same lot you only harden and give credence to those that say Westerners have it out for Muslims and the Islamic World.

(for the sake of clarity, when I say 'you' I mean people in general who feel as you do.)

  • @Wortcraft "Why don't you go cry some more about the grave injustices of Western society'

Heh, you know - you Righties are so easy to read - it's so obvious you're all suffering from a severe form of cognitive dissonance; that's why you hate Liberals who speak truth to power.

It's like finding out your dad was kicked out of the armed services when you were raised to believe he was a war hero. You simply refuse to accept facts and instead hate anyone and everything that contradicts your view.

  • @mikepalomino

Haha, your white guilt is pathetic. Either that, or your a whiny, crybaby minority who can't, and won't, accept that the problems in your neighborhoods are your own fault, and you instead "blame whitey."

  • this proves walt disney is alive somewhere

  • Chinese,is the dirtiest race in the world..
