  • ExxonMobil belongs to Rockefeller family, Bush family and company... now a days they are working in Equatorial Guinea with its dictator president, who is spending all the taxes of this business in his family and friends. Every equatoguinean could recibe 38.000$ per year from this, but in the best of the cases they get 500$ per year... this is a fucking disgrace, all of this awful business-people must closed in prison for the rest of their lifes! The U.N. must to do something with this bad boys!

  • ES UNA VERGUENZA PARA LA HUMANIDAD COMO ESTOS IMPERIOS ECONOMICOS CORRUPTOS DESTRUYEN ESTE HERMOSO PLANETA Y NO SE DAN CUENTA QUE NO DEJAN NADA PARA SU PROPIA GENERACION

  • We need to make a car that runs in hemp!!!

  • Despite the severe damage inflicted upon the environment, ExxonMobil was able to corrupt the justice system to evade its responsibility in the clean up costs. Every human species must declare ExxonMobil as the world's most dangerous and evil terrorists!

  • @greenbytes Chevron too.

  • O, wouldn't it be nice if -- now, as we are in the 'third millennium A.D.' -- people would slowly get around to using (more)REASONABLE units ?!

" 11 mio gallons " = ~ 40 kt ... which btw, is a rather low estimate for the ExxonValdez-spill. And there have happened a lot (50+) larger spills (according e.g. to wikipedia)

  • A disgrace.

  • you cunts all blame these spills on the ship or the off shore oil rigs itself. All that crude was headed to those greedy fat seppo cunts sitting on there HUGE asses, trying to consume, control or distroy the whole fuckin planet.

  • @gonefishin1977 less that 1% of all oil drilled are used for personal use

most oil drilled today are sold to domestic and foreign militaries, private and national reserves of the elite, as well as byproducts in industry

if people boycotted using their gas driven cars it wouldn't effect the economy

the real danger is arrogantly stupid (like yourself) who watch the news and believe the lies that the ordinary lives of people are to blame to stupid to understand about the NEW WORLD ORDER

  • @godscuttingyoudown "new world order" LOL You grubs can`t help but make fools of yourselfs. You cunts will always be a fuckin joke to Australia.

  • @gonefishin1977 Australia is a British colony and their is a strong anti new world order movement in australia for those that have a few brain cells left

the 2008 global economy crisis gave J P Morgan the chance to purchase the debt of the , RESERVE BANK of AUSTRALIA, COMMONWEALTH BANK of AUSTRALIA that is corrupt to the core as well as selling australian and Californian farming land to china

don't be surprised to see Chinese peace keeping forces in australia 1 generation from now

  • @godscuttingyoudown FUCK OF SEPPO CUNT. "British Colonoly" My ass. No wonda both you inbread tourist fucks leave Oz fucked up...One bunch think they own the place, they others think they run it... Drop in, say G`day. We`re COOOOOOOOOOOL ASSSSSSSSSSSSS MAAAAAAAAAAATE...LOL

  • @gonefishin1977 WOW your very incoherent

just ask me this who has the power to print money in Australia?

  • @godscuttingyoudown Fuck of, loser.

  • @gonefishin1977 ROFL

  • Humm

    Eat fish or

    drive car?

    drive car I guess

    what about you guys

Oh never mind, I see you

    drivin'

  • "it will take a world war II effort to cure the world's addiction to fossil fuels" but i personally think it could be done.

  • And the US Government could have prevented the oil spill in the Gulf of Mexico. They knew all about it and they have the EXXON Valdez files to think about how to prevent other mayor dissasters.

Why did they allow BP to drill without presenting a plan or equipment for a mayor sinister? This video is useless now. This video could have prevent and did not do it. Sea animals need our help. STOP FISHING! STOP KILLING CETACEAS!

  • man fuck oil.. my beach is fucking ruined now. RIP the gulf coast.

  • @leaf16nut i know my own government and laws. and just because they suck balls doesnt mean that BP had to follow suit! jesus christ, if your friends jumped off of a bridge are you going to do it to? thats the problem with the country, just about everyone is a bunch of fuckin lemurs.

  • @instagasm Lemurs? Really? ... Lemmings, you mean. : )

  • @liveonthereartire lmfao ya those

  • Suck it up and see the damage oil greed does to whole communitys and environment. The destruction you see is less than the damage the West led by the USA has left in its wake over the last 50 years with their profit driven greed. Now its on your doorstep see how you like it and ask if your big yank trucks and SUV's are worth it??

  • WWF WORLD WRESTLING FEDERATION!!!! haha jk

  • IF THERE IS STILL OIL FROM 20 YRS AGO FROM EXXON, IMAGINE THE GULF 20 YRS FROM NOW...THE WHOLE COAST WILL BE BARREN....EXXON EVERY 4 DAYS OR SO

  • 21 years later,

    Deepwater Horizon!

cleaning it up now will take decades e__E

  • it's funny how everyone complains even though they use oil....electric cars go faster anyways

  • @Isuckatpaintball2 lol eletric cars go faster..umm no anway this is to all comments saying we are hypocrites, the fact is we cannot live if we do not have these fossil fuels, they are an everyday thing whether you think we can use renewable resources or not. You cannot "try" not using gas, we use it for heating, cooking and transportation, We need fossil fuels this oil spill was not any ones fault but the company's

  • @kanta90 yes some do

  • Hey just Imagine how long it will take to clean up the mess from BP now its already almost over 10 times the size of that one.

  • This will be the Gulf...

  • @cambriacity the leak in the gulf is the size of the state of Kansas as is designed to push cap and trade and to use food as a weapon to depopulate the planet by 95%. This is global in its reach just wait and see...come on 2012 wash it away Mom!

  • the earth is crying

  • @JuanPapaNicolao go hug a tree

  • @supraguy2jzgte recycle your rice rocket

  • I do write out Government and they don't respond... How about Hemp Fuel? Sugar Beets? I watch cool fuel and also Henry Ford he made a car from Hemp and even could run it on hempoline.. we'll maybe not hempoline but you could use Hemp, and other Natural Oils . 90 % cleaner then gasoline... So Now what should I do, I ride my bike, I do my part ... I thought Obama was gonna do something different.. Why call it going GREEN if you dont' use a Plant... Also you could use Hemp to make Plastic.

  • How True These Wise words. But Man a Woman are driven by greed. Thats why we Live this Life. Otherwise we would be eating grass Like the other animals. Think on It World

  • @GVB1939, some of us have NO greed, but MOST ARE brainwashed to be the little pawns the evil elite want us to be... obsessed consumers, PAYING hollywood to pump us full of RAPE AND VIOLENCE, working to shop, to throw out, to turn our kids into materialistic brats.

    .

Most of my diet is grasslike stuff. I am a vegan (eat free-range eggs) and VERY easy to feed. Incidently I am not one of the brainwashed ones... it can be done.

  • @Jupiterconjunct I agree the world is going to the hot place very fast. Life can be fun. Peace Brother

  • Oil makes a lot more than fuel. Ever heard of plastic? You use ANYTHING that has plastic and you might as well pin "MURDERER" on your forehead. I have trouble sleeping with that knowledge, so I'll do what most do: drown it out with Facefuck, alcohol and OILY food. Why do I have to deal with it? I'm just a regular dude. I wasn't asked to be born in the West under a tyrannical society. Just feed me shit and I'll keep serving you your useless goods, sir!

  • We cant just "do away" with all oil drilling, humans are extremely dependent on it. As long as people continue to drive cars, cook with stoves, consume electricity, and buy products made with plastic, there will always be a demand for oil and the need to drill and transport it. If it doesn't come from your country, it will be imported from other countries with worse standards. Did you know that 15 times the amount of oil was dumped into the Persian during the gulf war than the Exxon Valdez had?

  • WANT TO STOP THE OIL SOAKED TORTURE?

  • Obummer is even more incompetent. The fool wasted so much resources on Haiti and did absolutely nothing for the gulf.

  • Since this gulf BP oil spill Ive been riding my bike and am in the process of selling my car. Its my little protest that i REALLY hope spreads to others. I really want this reckless behavior to stop.

  • Our dependence on oil is truly pathetic. Honestly, we have come so far with modern technology, we need to start moving away from these global disasters called "fossil fuels" and start using something more environmentally friendly. This whole thing is disgusting.

  • I just can't believe that this has happened AGAIN and they still haven't figured out safe ways to not only prevent but contain the oil. It's 2010 ffs!

  • theres gotta be another way to use oil without digging it

  • Ever asked you why this happen to america ?

  • meh...i never liked life anyway

  • Now the gulf mexico

waters are conataminaited thanks to Bp

  • @dejavu121 and imagine what the gulf will be like in 2030 considering the amount of oil released by valdez doesn't even come close

  • @ 25second... does he say "11 billion gallons of oil"?

If so, he is an idiot. he's only off by a factor of 1000. lol

  • I was disgusted at this.

and to think all of this shit was caused by just 1 white piece of trash.

If it were up to me, I would have doused that captain with oil, and set it ablaze.

I would have watched that motherfucker burn like he should have.

  • thank god for exxon valdez and thank god for the gulf oil spill!

  • @Berialavrenti Don't be silly. Your god is nonexistent.

It is humankind that created the oil spill. Thank it for its short-sighted perspective and disregard for its own wellbeing, which is entailed in the health of the 'natural' environment.

  • @SincereConcern

i did not say god did it, i said thank god for the exxon valdez!

like in: "what a beautiful woman, thank god for mother nature!"

  • @Berialavrenti Why would you ever be thankful for pollution? Surely you were being sarcastic?

And, no, when you say that phrase it is a throwback reference to deities being the cause of all events.

  • i think that the captain is to blame if he wasnt durnk and was steering the boat then they probley would have been ok but because he was drunk the third mate was driving and he wasnt qliufided to do so.

  • Actually this narrator is incorrect, they didn't hit a well known reef, they hit ice.

  • @Kamikuru77 It hit Bligh Reef, not ice. See the 'Exxon Valdez Oil Spill Trustee Council' to see the excerpt of a report published by the State of Alaska.

  • It's funny seeing all these comments... "makes me sick" ect... Yet you are the ones still using gas, driving cars, and not thinking twice about it...

So in turn, you basically caused this oil spill... By creating demand for gas; and when something goes wrong you blame Exxon for transporting the oil...

Hypocrites... Try not using gas if our going to bitch about spills...

  • @leaf16nut i agree 100% this is our faults, we are causing it, and people are saying o my god, who would do this, uuuuuuuuuhhhhhhhhhh, you did it, and im not saying i didnt do anything bad, we all did things to make this happen

  • @leaf16nut I don't drive a car. I ride a bike. I live in a small town in Maine where a lot of people walk everywhere. I have a windmill that powers my house. So basically... fuck you.

  • @allaragallagher

lol, wow you sure are grown up... How old are you? 12? acting all big and tough...

Ok, for you... the only fucking man in America that has never driven in a car, has never once ate food that has been transported in a vechicle that uses gas, who has the most energy efficient windmill powering his entire house

To you, if we were all like you; well we'd be so full of shit our eyes would be brown, we'd constantly be wearing rubber boots, and we'd adapt shovels on our arms

  • @leaf16nut Seriously. You're mental. I'd love to dump a shitload of oil in your front lawn and say: "Hmph. Don't bitch about it."

  • @allaragallagher

    A.K.A.

    YOUR FULL OF SHIT

  • @leaf16nut People who drive "caused this oil spill"???Ar you fucking retarded asshole!?!??! The captain of the boat caused the oil spill you ignorant fucking tree hugger faggot!

  • @james32870

If we didn't have a high demand for gasoline the captain of the ship would not have driven the ship in the first place... Therefore, it was our fault as a population; yes the captain was at fault, im not explaining away his wrong doing completely

I'm merly saying we need to use less gas for future spills not to happen. As for your valgur gibberish; No I am not a "faggot" nor am I a "tree hugger" & "ignoant" well im pretty sure you covered that enough for the both of us

    FU

  • @leaf16nut no offense but all of your responds were hell funny XD

  • @Ticomfreak

hahaha, why thank you... I try to give real statistics, adding humour and make people look like retards...

These guys were easy to make look stupid; made my job hella easier!!

  • @leaf16nut Grow the fuck up retard! We don't live in the cave man days anymore! Humans have an appetite for self destruction.........THAT INCLUDES YOU!!!!!!! You use fuel every fucking day, you're just too ignorant to realize it. Are you saying that if 3 billion people stop driving..(That's roughly half the pop.) that oil spills wont happen anymore?!?!!? Wow....wake up man/woman/dog/cat!!! Also....check your spelling before you post shit!

  • @james32870

My spelling is not the matter... The matter is the enviroment; and I did not ask for your comments so don't criticize me!

Yes, I never said I do not use gasoline... But im not the one bitching about oil spills; if you would read my comments instead of trying to pick them apart and make some kind of wrar of words you would sound and look A LOT smarter!

Maybe you should grow up, I'm only 19 and I sound 10X more intelligent than you on this matter... Use proper grammer bigot.

  • @james32870 you are so dumb you dont even realise it, yet you keep telling ppl to wake up you sad SOB.

  • @tkcwu I wish I could absorb your response but there are some words in it that I've never seen or heard before and it just doesn't quite make sense. Like...are you asking me a question or telling me something, or is it supposed to be an insult? Was it even meant for me or did you click the wrong name?

  • @leaf16nut no the greed of our leaders is you idiot

  • @driftalotapus

Mhmm, because our leaders are the only ones who use gasoline in the world... I can't even fathom how you came up with that 9 word sentence...

I guess it may be the most intelligent youve said in your life... The fact is; we use gasoline as a whole, country and world... If the demand was not there, the boats would not be there and the oil would stay where it is safe...

Please do read what your typing to make sure that it makes sense before posting...

  • @leaf16nut You're an idiot, do you have any idea of the lack of effort or care Exxon put into the clean up process? An entire industry of a region collapsed, an entire local ecosystem was severely poisoned, and to this day, 21 years later there are still problems and Exxon considers it a win because it cost them a tiny amount.Exxon was never brought to full accountability & haven't cleaned up their mess.Yes we buy the oil, they have the responsibility to clean up after their mess and give a shit

  • @JeanLouie1106

obviously they arn't responsible or they would have cleaned it all up... Yes, I agree with you 100%, Exxon should have cleaned and it outcome on the enviroment would have been greatly diminished...

But my point was simply that we as a whole need to do something about oil consumption if we want this to not happen in the future... Yes it is a tall task, but if we put as much money into oil, drilling etc... Than we could easily find a better, cleaner and greener source...

  • @leaf16nut , you dont get it . The masses are being BRAINWASHED and played like pawns in a global chess game... by the evil elite. Do you think any sane person PAYS to go to a movie that is ALL PERVERSION, RAPE, VIOLENCE AND DEATH... for fun? ... and they hand over money for this??? Nope hun, only the brainwashed will do this. My guess is 85-95% of the peops.

  • @leaf16nut said "but if we put as much money into oil, drilling etc... Than we could easily find a better, cleaner and greener source."

    .

"WE"... ??. Leafnut, the top of the billionaire heirarchical pyramid do not see us as a collective "we"... it is us and them.

    .

"They" have gone so far as to MURDER people who invent renewable energy. The plot is a bit thicker than you know.

  • @barkinguptherightree

Well for one; Being a billionaire means dick all to me; Human beings place to much emphasis on useless and needless paper and metal (money)

Just because somebody is a billionaire and I am not dosn't mean I'm not allowed to group EVERYBODY in the same category... we are human beings and that is how I group "we."

In the end we all decay the same, wether i have a billion pieces of paper, a million or less... So dont tell me I cant do something, your nothing to me...

  • @leaf16nut hahahahahahhahahaha hippie

  • @balla3310

Ummm, no not really... I was sick of all the comments blaming the captain of the ship, Exxon, the government; basically everybody else except themselves...

It's just a bonus that my comment has raised awarness about the enviroment, given me publicity and hopefully opened some peoples eyes...

  • @leaf16nut and your on your computer typing that comment...? Hypocrisy at it's best.

  • @leaf16nut with a price im buying a gas, i think there is more finance to make oil transport safer. there is not many alternatives to gas engines yet.

  • @leaf16nut so true.

  • I suppose you don't use/ have any of these: , Roofing shingles and roof coatings, Pipe for houses and city water and sewer systems, Ink on newspapers and magazines, Clothing from synthetic fabrics, Crayons (TM), Computer cases , Computer circuit boards, Carpeting, Floor covering , Paint, Deodorant, Shampoo, Hardhats/ helmets

    Shower enclosures

Electrical insulation in buildings and computers

    Toothpaste

    Dishwashing soap

    Household detergent, Rope, Candles,

    computer battery cases, etc

  • @lenasvn

my point was not that i dont use things that need oil, use oil or come from oil... if you would read my comments instead of trying to make a point out of them you would understand that...

I am not the one bitching over spills... It's people that bitch, say boycott them do this and yet they dont try and change themselves... they just look for an easy outlet to blame somebody.

That was my point... not that I dont use things like u mentioned (which i do)

  • @leaf16nut Reality bodes a different circumstance. We must be able to get from "point A" to "point B" to maintain our existence...and that means cars/oil/fossil fuels. It also means that we heat and cool our homes with fossil fuels; not doubt, you enjoy air and heat in your home, too? What is inexcusable is thew WAY man is going about it to the detriment of our planet. The resources are here for our use, but HOW they are obtained and used is another story.

  • @onlinedesign

The resources are here, that is true... We choose to use them instead of seeking alternative measures... Partly because it is the easiest, cheapest and readily available...

Sun alone can power our planet hundreds of times over; and the technology is here, now. Hence why Canadian government, European government and many others are paying top dollar and promising long term contracts for those who supply the grid with solar energy.

Yes point A to B has become a priority...

  • @onlinedesign

But it is an unnecessary one at that. We choose to go places, we choose to use fossil fuels, we are the creators and destroyers of everything we know to be (living this moment) and at the rate we consume, reproduce and carry out our lives it wont be long before we are damed...

My point was simply we choose our fate; how we go abouts our lives can be chosen and if we want to point blame in a direction it should be ourselves we blame, not the companies feeding our greed

  • @leaf16nut I agree with you to an extent. You make some very valid points. I just wonder, is it right to say "we" are greedy for say, driving our cars, when there is not another option for the masses. Yes, the Sun can power most anything...but I can't afford it. I can't afford a solar home or electric car (nor most people). I DO however hold the corporations responsible for the gross amount of neglect that leads into these oil disasters and the greed behind it.

  • @onlinedesign

Yes, nor can I afford solar at the moment... What everybody would have to do is pay for solar panels like we do oil... per use and such until it is paid off... once the first wave of solar came through technology would change to solar.

Holding the companies responsible is hypocritical, we are the fuel to their greed, they look for ways to get it to us fast, cheap and reliably... We dont complain if an oil spill dosn't happen and they cut corners; once a spill happens, well..

  • @leaf16nut

Stop being an idiot, demand for gas/oil and responsible resource stewardship are not mutually exclusive terms.

  • @lowenklee

Nor did I say they were...

State the point your trying to get across; it seems you have forgotten to bring an argument to the table... Instead you speak gibberish that is of no significance to my previous statements.

  • @leaf16nut

Isn't it obvious or are you that dense/ideologically rabid? "When something goes wrong" because of shoddy business practices and insufficient safety precautions then the business is at fault. The Exxon spill was caused by negligence not consumer demand. Can the consumer protest this with their pocket books? Sure they can, but your logic is still fucked.

  • @lowenklee

Agreed, as many of my comments have mentioned...

Greed in many forms causes spills, if oil companies would implement different and better safty regulations spills wouldn't happen; take for example, the oil spill in the gulf... If USA had stiffer penalties, and made companies install fool proof safty plane it wouldnt have happened.

Yes, total boycott of oil substances is unrealistic in this day and age... Before people bitch over spills; they should take a look at their life

  • @leaf16nut : do you know me or any of the people who left their disgusted comment there? No, you don't. Yet you blame us. I hate that you're pointing the finger at me as if you knew for a fact that I drive an SUV or any car at all- SO SHUT UP AND STOP INSULTING ME AS A HYPOCRITE AS IF EVEN KNEW ME.

  • @Collaroy

I am not talking to you specifically, just because you read my comment dosn't mean, in any way; that I am specifically talking to you... Believe me you are not important enough to talk directly to...

I am not only talking about people in general, but myself as well. I am as guilty as the next person; I use oil, gas, etc...

Maybe you should just not read comments if you can't handle what they say and know how to interpret them without getting pissed off...

  • @leaf16nut seriously? bp cut corners on safety. it IS their fault.let me dumb this down for you. if you order food and the waitress brings it out to you but trips over her own shoe laces and spills it on you,its not your fault for ordering the food. the waitress should have made sure her shoes were tied.its her job to make sure the product gets delivered safely.

  • @instagasm

BP did cut corners; but the corners cut were not mandatory... Why spend half a million bucks on something that doesn’t "have" to be installed...

Using your logic; that’s like paying the waitress/waiter insurance just in case the trip over their shoe laces... Their job is to deliver the goods cheaply, efficiently and within certain safety parameters...

Like a waiter wearing a hair net, but an arm hair falling into the food. BP was within parameters who go to an extreme?

  • @leaf16nut "Why spend half a million bucks on something that doesn’t "have" to be installed" uhh...well the oil spill should be a pretty good example why.

  • @instagasm

If that was is so; USA should stiffen their rules and regulations...

USA does not make it mandatory as in Canada and Europe... That is my point; it's easy to blame the ones who didnt install a second valve, or have extra features costing millions, but they did what they needed to be safe to American standards... Now americans bitch out BP because they caused a leak...

Take a look at your own government and your laws before bitching... It was inevitable!

  • @leaf16nut i know my own government and laws. and just because they suck balls doesnt mean that BP had to follow suit! jesus christ, if your friends jumped off of a bridge are you going to do it to?

  • @leaf16nut Oh shut the fuck up.... I bet you don't use gas, or drive cars right? Bull shit that the consumers caused the spill. Exxon was fucking stupid and took way too long to get their shit together to solve it.

  • @Zdrummer45 fuck ur self evrything's gonna be electronic in future

  • @Zdrummer45

Please read ALL my comments before jumping to conclusions... Click "view all comments" press Ctrl F, and type leaf16nut and you will see that I have said; numerous times, that I use gasoline, oil, and other chemicals that hurt, harm and fuck over the world...

My point is simply this; if the world didn't depend on gas, oil etc... Spills wouldn't happen... Thats a fact.

So, as soon as a spill happens everybody blames them instead of doing something about it...

  • this happen two days before I turn five

  • this was a warning about bp

  • lol nobody cares ! the governments dont give a fuck about us what the hell makes you people think they care for the enviroment. These oil spills are laughed at big oil. They brush it off with a big check and say safety first. Nobody cares > Nobody cares . Nobody cares

  • the people that lived there were mostly fisherman and their business got so fucked up that its just now starting to come back

  • makes me sick

  • the problem is not drilling for oil,the problem is the risks they take..putting a rig in deep water is begging for something to go wrong, also when these rigs get older ,they have to keep them up..that costs money..they want to do it as cheap as possible, thats who this kind of thing happeneds..greed kills

  • As a mariner in the sound, i know EXXON did pay, and do any of you even know the details? you put just as much emissions out burning it in that car you drive so much

  • our Corporation Owned Supreme Court said assholes at Exxon don't have to pay anything...

  • i only have one answer.hemp energy versus petroleum energy!!!!

  • Won't be saying don't plant oil rigs when you run out of oil.

  • Exxon should still be there cleaning up their mess until ALL of it is gone. It's bullshit that puddles of oil can still be found on beaches 20 years later!

  • TESLA could have saved us from this 100 yrs ago! please look it up, he created a wireless energy system that allowed energy to be obtained anywhere on earth! i put up info on my youtube and i demostrate a 20 ft wireless transmission to prove that the system works! we could build it right away and get off of this oil dependence, you can run cars wirelessly and never need oil again. please read tesla's "increasing human energy" it tells you all the reneable resource man can use safely!

  • Pinches Putos!!!

  • thanks; oh my gosh this is enlightening; with the new spill off the coast in the Gulf Of Mexico...I wonder what ever happened to the fishing communities and industry ?

  • @StephenMarvin They lost 14 years of fishing seasons

  • @kingbrann ouch; how did those folks survive with out their industry ?

  • i know i live in mobile al and our fisherman will lose their jobs and wildlife will be killed and our beaches r guna be screwed i hate bp

  • This is the result of greedy corporations attempting to make billions!! While our air and water gets polluted! THERES NO PRICE THAT CAN BE PUT ON THIS CATASTRAPHIE, THIS IS OUR PLANET!!

  • Hmm everybody seems to forget about the Alaskan earthquake of 1964. If you have seen any photos of the massive damage done by that, all of these oil spills are nothing compared to the enviromental damage done by the earthquake...thousand of square miles of once was ocean bottom became dry land in a instant. Hmmm, if your one of those that believe it's "Mother earth"..than..your mom got pms so bad that she killed more life than these 2 oil spills combined

  • The spill in the gulf right now is about to pass the amount the exxon leaked....

  • They need to go back there and finish the job!

  • so many animals died and they didnt have to .......close to 20 aurcas?! birds ,eagles, fish, otters. that just isnt right :(

  • we need to make oil rigs safer and HAVE BETTER ENVIRONMENTAL AGREEMENTS. agree on the steps and mitigation before building any more new oil rigs, not play the blame game. its the wildlife that suffers !

  • What happened may or may not could have been prevented but regardless it happened. The mess could have been cleaned up better yes but at least there was a good attempt made. I don't see a problem with putting more wells and drilling in the area because technology has advanced so much more since then we can find and eliminate dangers.

  • @96dsmdemon no more drilling anywhere we need to end dependance on oil if we have to ride bikes and take bio diesel trains RE 100%. The ass hole captian was drinking when he was on the double cross ship.

  • @96dsmdemon So, how do you explain whats happening in the Gulf right now?

  • It was an acident people get over it; when u start walking everywere and sold your car then u got a right to speek till then shut up ,great vid

  • we should all go back to living the romans...they had a good time, and we could have gladiorfights!

  • its sad. the effects last sooo long. we just have to move away from using oil for its most common use, FUELS.

its probably impossible to live civilized without oil. plastics, lubricants and countless other uses but not the amount we use these days. we must cut down on fuels!!

lessen the pressure to lessen the dangers and impact

  • biggest oil spill ever still happening right now, humans have a habit of really fucking everything up, go humans !!!!!! not

  • i wish i could slap them

  • wtf is wrong with wrestling now

  • all the fishing boats run on fish OIL?

  • hemp energy versus petroleum energy

  • This is the problem Exxon cannot buy off. Even the escort tugs hit the same well marked reef and spill oil. It's just a matter of time before it happens again. Exxon can just EXX-OFF. Leave my Sound alone!

  • using this in a Geography assignment :D

    Thank you

ill reference and everything dont worry :)

  • save the world!!! please

  • the bay will never be the same.

this was caused by a stupid drunk white man.

    fuckin' animals.

  • its real go to william sound see for your self

  • runoff from cars on major highways is the leading cause for oil polution! not rigs in the middle of the ocean and the extremely random ship accident

  • but how many random accidents does it take to complete ruin our enviroment? i am directly employed in the oil and gas industry and feel that we should slow down in our efforts to expand oil production in sensitive areas.

  • nice vid thzz

  • I think this video should be widely seen. People don't seem to understand the after-effects.

  • Magnetic Propulsion engines are the planets energy. Keep oil for racing that's all.

  • the captain wasn' t drunk, that was a lie of the company.

after the captain were fired , he recibed a huge compensation

  • An accident is an accident. The captain was drunk, hence the accident.

  • Exxon paid like 5 Billion dollars, they took responsibility for their damage. unexcusable thou, however, and accident is and accident.

  • Comment removed

  • The whole 19 years, Exxon kept arguing that they shouldn't pay any punitive damages at all since the accident had occurred at sea instead of on land. I don't consider this to be taking responsibility for your actions.

They paid somewhere over $2 billion in cleanup costs, but how clean is it really? Is it actually clean enough that you could say they cleaned up after themselves?

Even including the billion dollars or so of fines, it doesn't even seem to add up to as much as $5 billion.

  • they ended up paying less than 1/10th of that amount, and they were veryyy resistant tp taking responsibility

  • exxon paid over $900 million total and thats after a giant dispute. and then they were subjec to the reopeners clause in 2001 where the state wanted them to pay $92 million dollars more to fund continuing clean up. and accident is an accident but it could have been avoided.

  • NO! NOT TOXIC CRUDE>>>>>>>>>>>

  • You want to bet it wasn't that bad! 11million gallons of anything is alot dont you think? Let alone oil in the sea! It killed oters and eagles, seals and quarter of a million sea bird! If you dont think that is bad what is your defenition of bad?

  • @dundunpoo for me definition of bad, is not being able to drive 2 work and not have a job 2 provide for my family. or not have a/c when is over 100 degree outside. rather those animals than humans. eventually the whole earth is gonna be destroyed one way or another anyways...

  • volunteer, be GREEN,

  • lol

  • They should be paying Billions of Dollars the can afford it crooks!

  • @road89 *they can afford it crooks
