back in the early 70s ed dated jessica savitch which was not cool back then.because of race.rest in peace jessica savitch and mr.ed bradley.to very good reporters.
@mbball02 Yes he was and 60 Minutes changed after he died. I still watch the show it is one of my favorites but it feels different without Ed. He COULD interview anyone he was that good.
ED was an one of a kind. not many were on the same level. was not affraid to ask the top personal questions that the public wanted to lpw. long live ED RIP.
He was a reporters reporter and he captivated me with his style of reporting. His contribution is appreciated we must move on to train another generation of news reporters like Ed Bradley.
My heart hurts knowing that i wont see him every sunday anymore, i grew up with him and have always respected him, thanks Mr. Bradley for touching my world.
Great Lost!!! Bradley was a great anchorman of 60 minutes. Has someone had the Bradley's 60 minutes interview with Neil Armstrong? The A&E Latin America, the channel that broadcast 60 minutes, doesn't broadcast the program any more
As a 4 year old I started watching 60 minutes - his voice was like the voice of the news, the outside world, sincere and trusted. Can't get much more from a life.
Future journalists would do well to study this man's technique. His interviews were always interesting, and he was great at getting interviewees to open up to him. "If I'm talking to you, for however long it takes, I'm yours."
God Bless Ed Bradley. I didn't know him at all, but he was one of the trailblazers for TV journalists of color, like Max Robinson, Carole Simpson, and Bernard Shaw. I recorded the 60 minutes tribute on DVD. I hope they package it for sale. Future journalists need to be able to see his work. They should archive all his stories so that people can see them online. So sad that distinctive voice is gone.
He was an incredible journalist and will be missed by everyone who watched him...I know my family and I miss him already. Tonight's 60 Minutes was a real tear jerker. :(
I didnt know that he was dead.. so horrible!! He was one of the highlights of the show! the show will never be the same again.I will never ever forget that man.
To be judged by the content of his charectar is what Ed Bradley IS judged and loved by. This man brought human emotion into his world as a journalist and he did it with great exhuberance and dignity. As we say goodbye too a man that touched millions please let we not forget that the times he spent coming into our lives every Sunday with the passion that very very seldom is displayed in modern journalism. May his legacy live forever... You will be sadly missed.
Ed Bradley was a great reporter. Not only because he was one of the first black report. But because he was truthful ,honest, & compassionate. Witch i feel is missing from alot of todays journalist. R.I.P Ed. You will be missed.
I still can't believe he's dead. It's almost as unbelievable as the Republican fallout which happened earlier this week. Ed was one of the giants of 60 minutes. I remember hearing his voice every sunday since I was as young as 5 years old. I actually remember the interview that he conducted with Tim Mcviegh back in 1999, when I was 14. May his soul rest in peace.
R.I.P. Sir.
