  • today's dances can't hold a candle to the original lindy hoppers! those were the real beasts!

  • Judith Jameson killed it!!!!

  • When I was a kid in the 80s, I sometimes felt like Claire and Cliff Huxtable, were like my mom and dad telling me what to do. Whenever they told their TV kids something, it felt as if they were also telling me through the TV. Learned a lot from them, believe it or not.

  • old school met new school now its all old school now

  • when cliff runs to the couch and jumps on it. i cry laughing. he is hilarious.

  • how weezy would say i lovvvvveeee it ;D

  • I think the cosby show is one of the funnies show ever. I smile during every episode...like, the whole episode, and laugh out loud plenty!

  • 'Marie' is Judith Jamison, who was one of the world's leading dancers and star of the Alvin Ailey Dance Theatre. She just retired as Director. She has danced with many of the world's great dancers including Mikhail Baryshnikov.

  • i wish i could dance like that

  • Hilaaarious!!!!! Bill Cosby Is a Nut!!!!!

  • I love how he can fake being knocked off his feet by Claire without actually falling or dropping her, and still make it look real. That man is one of the greatest comedians who ever lived.

  • Cliff jumping on couches was so much better than when Tom Cruise did it, ha.

"oh lets just toss in a couple of white kids they wont be able to tell the difference"

  • @Bonzibuddy4ever2 WTF I AINT MEAN IT LIKE DAT SO WTF HOMIE U TAKING DA SHIT 2FAR O_O

  • @Bonzibuddy4ever2 The children were not white, they are fair skinned, if you have not noticed, the grandfather is very light, in those days it would not have been but a couple generations before that there were slave masters mixing the race, therefore, it is possible that the complexion comes from an earlier generation. Ignorance comes in all forms, to be upset by something like the color of skin is simple minded. Please use your thoughts for productive behavior, thanks. not rude, just honest.

  • @tosha517 lol

  • i love the cosby show ;

im also happy claire was looking at cliff when he started to run on the couch because it didn't look like he was stopping whether she moved or not. = )

  • If you find out the name of the song please let me know.

  • hilarious dancing!

  • So in 30 years, will we be teaching our grandkids how to break dance?

  • exactly

  • what about levar burton

  • If you're talking about this clip, Cosby was clowning for the show. He probably could dance better than that if he wanted to.

  • What a great clip! They need to bring this show back.

  • the is like everywhere what do you mean

  • New productions. The Huxtables now. Not reruns.

  • or maybe just a reunion.

  • lol I know right...

  • The guy standing next to Denise(Lisa Bonet) is Blair Underwood, wow he doesn't look the same

  • i like the breakdancing they did right before this scene. wish i could find that song.

  • The woman in the red (Judith Jameson) was given a BET Honors the other day. She is so beautiful!

  • Brings back the days when we'd have family dinners and the music would crank up, uncle and auntie had a lil too much to drink and the dancing would begin....

We'd be on the steps doubled over...

No matter, parents and relatives always look funny dancing.... I miss this show

  • Lmaoo I know Hes halirous!

  • excellent clip

  • Yeah, but doesn't every family in every household do the exact same thing all the time. Everyday, non-stop dancing.

  • The dancers are Judith Jamison (Marie) and Donald McKayle (Ralph).

  • LOL @ Cliff almost miss catching Claire.

  • I love this scene.

  • Is that Blair Underwood in the background?

  • Yeah that's him with Denise.

  • one of the best black sitcoms to date. He taught so much black history it was crazy

  • Far and away, the best part of this episode is not in this clip: the short segment right before it where Cliff goes to get the door and mocks the kids' break-dancing. That is an absolute riot.

  • You are absolutely right, I love that part!

  • I love where he slams the door on them, puts his hands to his face like a mime, then opens the door again.

  • It just hit me....this was the black Brady Bunch!

  • 1 OF THE FUNNi3ST

  • my dances just like that

  • shout out to judith jaminson the woman in red

    ailven ailey baby

  • hell no, its not weird! I'll be 30 in a couple months. This is our childhood! We should miss it!! It was good and wholesome!

  • it was good-everything was better. perhaps the goonies will be on tv this weekend!

  • Me too. 30 in six weeks. Same as Keshia Knight Pulliam (Rudy) whose 30th birthday was this month (April 9).

  • the dancers name is gerard cooper and he was a member of the poppalots

  • Does anyone know the woman in red? That's Judith Jamison, an American Modern Dancer and Choreographer and Alvin Ailey's artistic director for almost 20 years!

  • Wow, thanks! I wondered how she was such a gifted dancer!

  • thats blair underwood with Denise in the beginning of the clip!

  • Yes, it is! :)

  • classic. love Cliff and Claire.

  • LOL @ Cliff and Clair!

  • Wow I love this, great vid!

  • its season 1 shes not there yet

  • Does my man have the Jordan 1's on. Classic joints.

  • Cliff never yells at the kids in this show. That's not normal.

  • cliff has raised his voice at the kids. but also his methods of discipline were rather abstract.
