@tardispineapple Again, I can't really comment on the anime since I haven't watched any of it, and I don't collect the cards, but I think like with all new regions, Unova just needs some getting used to. I used to think think that about the Sinnoh region when it first came out, but now I've come to really like it. And I think they wanted a fresh start on the games, you can't achieve that by remaking a previous one.

I was 4/5 when I discovered pokemon on the gameboy colour and the tv show. I'm now 15 and I still love pokemon. I still play and enjoy the games to their full potential and I watch the show with my little 5 year old brother so he can have the same experience I had. I think all series up to black and white (which I don't care for much) were incredible. I still have fond memories of faking illness to get of school to watch the pokemon marathon. Makes me wish I was little kid again.
