So I tested it out and lost a bunch of games by leaving as soon as they started and took my rating really low that way. Sure enough, I started winning every single game and having a blast again. Technically, the lower your rating, the easier your human opponents will be! So there you have it, just do that and you'll rarely lose again!
Why aren't more people mad that this game is a 99% exact copy of the WoW TCG!? They will probably add "quest-like" cards in the next set anyways. I played this game once and will never play it again because of the shear lack of creativity/originality. This game is borderline theft. Blizzard should sue.
There IS a way to sell multiple cards at once, just click the sell button more than once, ignore the ok button and sell as many as you want. Just something I noticed X3

SO.... Regarding the purchasing of shadow crystals... I personally am hitting a bit of a wall... seeing as I click the 2$ option, to get redirected to a page that doesn't offer a 2$ option
@PsychoStreakBrony This is easy to miss. When you go to the page, it shows you 600 SC (6 boosters/starters) for $5 as the minimum. This is due to the fees that PayPal got and they need this as a minimum to not make a loss. But if you look in the window you see the option for other payment methods. The option to just buy Shadow Crystals for just $2 can be found as some phone and mobile payments. Or you can buy for $2 if you play it on Android (and iOS I guess) and use the buy button in-game.

@acmasta619 Play against the AI. You get gold for each victory and you can then spend that gold at the merchant to buy the very cards you want. You also gain exp and I think it's every 4th level you get 100 crystals that you can buy a booster or a new starter deck with. Plus you can get a few free shadow crystals if you click the "Earn SC" button at the merchant. It can be 6 SC to watch a you-tube add, or 400 if you install a FaceBook game. So no need to pay anything if you do not want to.
For those who do not know, you only need 4 of each card, 1 of each hero for a complete set. The cards are reusable, so, for example, if you have 4 fireballs, all four mages can have fireball
This game has an offer going atm that gives you a free physical starter deck + booster + 1X of every rare card currently made shipped to you for a $10 purchase of the currency to buy online cards. $10 will give enough shadow crystals to buy, what feels like, almost every card in the entire game atm. The packages get better and better, like $20's will get you an extra deck for a friend, etc. If enough do this before the time is out, a play mat will also be added to every purchase for free.

EVERY card is available to be bought in the market, and selling cards that you get from your bonus shadow crystals (They give away a lot of crystals) by buying starters, which gives you a lot of gold to buy whatever you need to make your deck. If anything, this is by far the LEAST pay to win game on the market.

Paying will NOT give you advantages in battle, and thus will NOT help you win, which means you cannot spend money to help you win, which is the very definition of Pay to Win.

Both Cabals and Urban Rivals for iOS also features either web clients or downloadable clients, and Android clients.

Also your deck is a counter to Elemental deck imo. You just needed a bit more time and maybe a bit more luck. Voice of Winter and Snow Saphire shut down elementals like there was no tommorow

@jruler93 Honestly, i guess i'm blind because the only real similarities i see are the graveyard and the fact that there are cards and turn based drawing in it. Yugioh(intentionally spelled it wrong /trollface) is unique in its own way and so is every CCG. You can't really compare them.

this game is so much fun, im tottaly hooked so thanks tb. some of the changes that are coming out though is they are in fact coming out with a player driven auction system. they are trying to push out the next card set soon but they are getting all the heroes balanced before they come out. alot of the issues you talked about are planned to be implemented in the future but they are focusing mostly on balancing the cards.

You should have really saced at least one Lightning strike, your dec really needs to put both dots on a warrior asap, with his BF its 3 damage a turn. luckily you pulled more quickly. Your LS isn't as important with your Shadow ability.
you get gold for every battle you win and you can use the gold to buy cards And you also get crystals every lvl so you can buy boosterpacks. IT IS NOT pay to win.
I would recommend elementalis because like you said no one uses it, it focuses on major buffs such as taking the worst ally in the deck and making it do like 15 damage (yes I've done it for those of you judging) with the quick fire shadow ability and 2 sparks and the ability used against you I have about a 90% win rate

That elemental deck got a SICK draw. I still think you could have won though. Tips for the beginner: Pointing a fireball at the opponent when you're in "survival mode" is a bad idea. He's aggro, you're card advantage. You just need to deny as much damage as possible. Fireballs should mostly be used to kill allies (in this case a spark, reducing incoming damage by 5+ a turn), unless you're aggro.

I do have to say, since you suggested this game I checked it out and I love it. With only spending a dollar and through just playing a bunch, I have an actually decent deck, which has won 5 games against other players and lost two. Thanks for suggesting this game!
Well that's better than most CCG games which are Pay to Play, Pay more to Win.
There aren't many, if any, CCGs physical or digital which aren't nigh on pay to win in the end as there will always be certain cards which are more powerful than others.
That's one reason I like more fixed card pool/deck building games personally.

@JPAchilles in most trading card games you have to pay for cards. the only difference here is that you don't have to pay for everything. @tripnballslol is right, you can pay to win if you're lazy, but some people have values. others don't. humans are like that.
What did you Sacrafice your research! -- You could've activated it for a chance to draw a rain Delay which would've made your hero have 5 counters to clear the board!!!
Spoils is another great cardgame. I enjoyed shadow era but I found it a bit too simple. It isn't easy or anything, I just want a bit more complexity in my card games.
WTF is The Ship. The Ship is an amazing multiplayer game which should be revived. I know TB doesn't read these comments, but The Ship needs the popularity it deserves.
Also I advise not to start with a Hero which buffs weapons. Weapons and armor and the rarest and costliest cards and building a decent deck around them will take longer.
The AI on this game is complete bullshit. The computer will almost always target you instead of your creatures, allowing you to destroy his while you keep yours. Better play against players if you want competition. However you can grind the computer more easily for gold and experience. You gain less but unless you are an absolute retard you can't lose.
I advise to keep all cards you buy unless youve got more than 4 copies, or 1 copy for heroes, since you cant put cards in a deck above those numbers. The cards are sold to the merchant at half price, so your capital shrinks each time you sell cards.
Although this game is free to play, you will progress very slowly if you don't put money into it. However, little money can bring you a long way. I bought 10$ worth of cards and it was enough to build two decent decks. The holes I could fill with the money I earned playing.
I advise starters to choose either a mage, warrior or hunter. They can be played both as human and as shadow, which gives you more flexibility in the long term as to the kinds of decks you can build. Thief and Priest can only be played by humans and Wulven and Elemental can only be played by shadows.

2. You don't have sacrifise to summon monsters
3. There are no heroes in yugioh
4. No Tribute, Special, Ritual or whatever summon
5. Enemies can attack you whether you have allies(monsters) or not, while in Yugioh they cant attack you if you have a monster out.
6. No attack/defence mode
7. No idiotic show to ruin the game and it's rules

this game is so much fun, im tottaly hooked so thanks tb. some of the changes that are coming out though is they are in fact coming out with a player driven auction system. they are trying to push out the next card set soon but they are getting all the heroes balanced before they come out. alot of the issues you talked about are planned to be implemented in the future but they are focusing mostly on balancing the cards.

Love you for reviewing this, but i was pulling my hair out watching your sac choices... and your deck is sorta weak in some regards...
You should have really saced at least one Lightning strike, your dec really needs to put both dots on a warrior asap, with his BF its 3 damage a turn. luckily you pulled more quickly. Your LS isn't as important with your Shadow ability.

I would recommend elementalis because like you said no one uses it, it focuses on major buffs such as taking the worst ally in the deck and making it do like 15 damage (yes I've done it for those of you judging) with the quick fire shadow ability and 2 sparks and the ability used against you I have about a 90% win rate

That elemental deck got a SICK draw. I still think you could have won though. Tips for the beginner: Pointing a fireball at the opponent when you're in "survival mode" is a bad idea. He's aggro, you're card advantage. You just need to deny as much damage as possible. Fireballs should mostly be used to kill allies (in this case a spark, reducing incoming damage by 5+ a turn), unless you're aggro.
Thank you for showing this, TB. It's a nice variation to MtG, although MtG is ages better.

I do have to say, since you suggested this game I checked it out and I love it. With only spending a dollar and through just playing a bunch, I have an actually decent deck, which has won 5 games against other players and lost two. Thanks for suggesting this game!

There aren't many, if any, CCGs physical or digital which aren't nigh on pay to win in the end as there will always be certain cards which are more powerful than others.
That's one reason I like more fixed card pool/deck building games personally.

@JPAchilles in most trading card games you have to pay for cards. the only difference here is that you don't have to pay for everything. @tripnballslol is right, you can pay to win if you're lazy, but some people have values. others don't. humans are like that.

Spoils is another great cardgame. I enjoyed shadow era but I found it a bit too simple. It isn't easy or anything, I just want a bit more complexity in my card games.

Also I advise not to start with a Hero which buffs weapons. Weapons and armor and the rarest and costliest cards and building a decent deck around them will take longer.

The AI on this game is complete bullshit. The computer will almost always target you instead of your creatures, allowing you to destroy his while you keep yours. Better play against players if you want competition. However you can grind the computer more easily for gold and experience. You gain less but unless you are an absolute retard you can't lose.

I advise to keep all cards you buy unless youve got more than 4 copies, or 1 copy for heroes, since you cant put cards in a deck above those numbers. The cards are sold to the merchant at half price, so your capital shrinks each time you sell cards.

Although this game is free to play, you will progress very slowly if you don't put money into it. However, little money can bring you a long way. I bought 10$ worth of cards and it was enough to build two decent decks. The holes I could fill with the money I earned playing.

I advise starters to choose either a mage, warrior or hunter. They can be played both as human and as shadow, which gives you more flexibility in the long term as to the kinds of decks you can build. Thief and Priest can only be played by humans and Wulven and Elemental can only be played by shadows.
