They did not own the land, the inhabited it, just like any other animal. The British colonised Australia after the aborigines had failed/neglected to do anything worthwhile with the land. The aborigine now has a life span over DOUBLE what they had in 1788. 'nuf said.

Also, in mine sites around Australia there has to be a high percentage of Indigenous workers.. at a couple mines in the NT it's as high as 40%!!
