  • @destiney0 But I thought Islam invented everything?

  • @destiney0 sorry your right. but the British do make a "javelin" but not the one featured in this video. we make the "Javelin (surface-to-air missile)"

  • That tank must have something in it to make it explode like that

  • @wwwNooBcom

Like rounds for its main guns and fuel in gas tanks?

  • Ive nvr seen a tank blow up like that...its kind of like seeing someone shot in the chest vs being crushed gorrily...

  • its not really an anti-tank missile its more of a whatever-the-fuck-it-wants-to-blow-up missile.

  • a few seconds after they shot it they were prob like, "where do u think it went?" BOOM "found it"

  • Ka-boom.

Is the missile capable of tracking a moving target? Just a quick question.

  • @Gahsu Yea it is, It has both free-lock and target lock on.

  • @TheProudAussie the Javelin to be exact cost $73,000 thats why you have to come first in the simulator to fire it

  • that deffinently would get you at least a UAV...maybe a care package.

  • @MacDaddyCleveland Depends if you have Hardline on I suppose.

  • damn that tank is fucking gone!

  • wow shit , that tank is in bits after that haha

  • yup it was a T-80 russian battle tank

  • it was a t72

  • you're right it is. t80s have a square exhaust on the back for turbine engines

  • that was awesome..

  • Those missiles cost 1.2 million and the tank itself cost $500,000 of TAX PAYERS MONEY! morons.

  • what do you mean? that was an old soviet tank. that might have been one that was captured or something and they decided to use it as target practice.

  • The missles cost about $20000 actually.

  • a modern battle tank costs in the ball park of 10 million dollars not to mention the life assets you lose...each cavalary tank crew member is trained in which the government spends a considerable amount of money and resources an investment of at least 500k-1m per person

this is the most effective battle weapon ever made...and you sir are the only moron or at least leader of making moronic comments.

  • yoo i love this video it looks hot ! and these dudes are funny looool ! i watch this video atleast once a day

  • the rocket cost 1.2 million bucks!

  • there had 2 of been a secondary explosion.... the warhead on the javalin is a shaped charge and not that big

  • IT WAS a us tank?

  • I sat on top of a roof all night just outside Baghdad using the thermal imaging device that comes with the javelin "CLU" to watch for any insurgents placing IEDs. The highlight of that night was when I watched a dog a couple hundred yards away urinate by a tree. Ahhh good times.

  • Holy Fuck, that was perfect ,do it again ,do it again....

  • Please stop war. We just live about 70, 80 years in this world. Let all enjoy peace and love...

  • FUCK!

  • Funny part of this was just about right before the missle exploded an ad from google poped up saying "World Peace Is Coming" HAHH.

  • @AcidHoeMike Lol

  • @AcidHoeMike i got one for home improvements, lol

  • Boner inspiring

  • OMG I just came

  • I've seen footage of actual live fire tests and it is nowhere near as spectacular. The holes produced by some pretty big anti-tank weapons are no bigger than your palm and the vehicle rarely blows apart like this. Spall - bits of metal fro the hull and projectile - do lots of damage inside and ammo booms happen but it usually doesn't look like this.

A lot fo these tests are staged and explosvies are put in the vehicle to produce more visually impressive results. I think they did that here.

  • yea thats what alot of ppl dont get. That the tanks outside looks to be intact but the inside is obliterated.

  • OHHH so that where my taxes went to considering its $80,000 lol just kidding

  • This uses a device called a CLU to lock on to the target. The CLU attaches to the Javelin pod itself and can be used again. However the Javelin casing is fire and forget

  • One Russian junk tank less a shot. One of the thousand things, the russian army misses in it's inventory.

  • shit.

  • KAAABOOOOOOOOOOOM!

  • theirs a Mic near the tank and the tank like a real situation tank has ammo inside ignited by the javalins warhead. Tanks in battle blow them selves up all the missile does is make a deep small hole into the ammo of the tank.

  • the javalin has a copper tipped and magnesium filled warhead which has high-explosive behind it. the copper and magnesium act as a burning agent that actually melt's through the tanks armour and then detonates the explosive causing big time boom and yes the ammo in the tank would assist a whole lot.

  • HOOOOOLY SHIIIT!!!!

  • I don't understand how the sound of the explosion reaches the camera the same time it explodes. The explosion seems extremely large from all other footage I have seen and the damage in this footage is much MUCH more extensive. The warhead is only about 17 lbs afterall. Looks like an atom bomb hit that tank.

  • 8000bucks a shot

  • according to cod4, it's 10k per shot =)

  • typo?

  • nah mate, a single Javalin Anti-Tank Missile costs $80,000 U.S

  • @TheProudAussie you have that from modern warfare right?^^

  • Lol, they just took some explosive in a tank, and detonate it... This rocket can't make SO big exploy...

  • love that delayed startup...

it helps not to giv away your position...

    amazin...:P

  • And prevents being burned by the ignition of the rocket motor.

  • HAHAHAHAHAHA i aint getting on their bad side

  • HOLY SHIT YAAAAAAAAAAH!!!!

  • i love how it shoots out opens its wings then blasts off

  • hey santa.. i've been a exxxxxtra good boy this year.

    i think i was a 900000000000000000000000000 fps javalin anti tank rocket :]

  • Huh where did the tank go?:P

  • Huh where did the tank go?:P

  • Huh where did the tank go?:P

  • i want one of those for my birthday =D

  • boom tankshot.....watch fps doug!!!!!

  • damn!

  • i wouldve also said holy shit too.

  • i loved it!

  • Ok, I don't normally do this but some of you have your facts wrong. The Javelin has a range of 5000 meters, Lockheed say 3000. This video actually doesn't show the full blast capabilities. It has two warheads that give it the option of having two firing modes. There is no tank in the world that has significant armor on the top of the tank which makes the ALL tanks extremely vulnerable! Plus there is also no radar jamming technology that can alter the path of the missile.

  • also the javelin missiles tip burns through the tank on impact and sends molten liquid flying around inside the tank killing all the crew inside

  • Korea is developing K2 tank which has jamming technology.

  • If korea is developing it, then it is probably for starcraft, NOT real life.

  • 1. no c4 or such required... those rockets really make big boom ^^

    2. Rocket from above = Tank gone... "dampened the explosion" when the whole inside explodes?

  • haha the tank is a little bit pimped with c4^^

  • The Explosive bricks that cover the sides of the tank are gone. That should have dampened the explosion.

  • Never saw cardboard is3 earlier

  • To approach to tank it is necessary to the combat safeguarding of the tank. The Infantry for instance.

  • Andrew & CEMABOIKOV you are full of it. The "you can see it tripped before..." Nope. Just downloaded the video from Lockheed & frame-by framed it... Explosion is at impact. "computer defense shield..." Yeah the shield you just invented in your mind. The Russians should be wondering whether their tanks are better than the Chinese, not the Americans, or they will be speaking Chinese soon when they decide to take a little lebensraum.

  • This video is bogus! The Javalin has an 8.4Kg(18.5lbs) shaped charge warhead. You are not going to do this to a tank. That is not how these warheads work. The tank is loaded with explosines, you can see it tripped before the missle hits in the video.

  • Its not swedish, the swedish one is called the "Gustav" after the king, and could be seen in War of The Worlds.

  • wow u americans are soo cool! Try shooting that piece of crap at tank the Russian army actually has in service like the T-90. The Tanks computer defense shield will malfunction the missle before it can even get close to the tank. This is nothing, Javelins range of 2500 metres is nothing, T-90 will take anything out 6000 metres away.

  • T-72s are still in use by a lot of countries, just that its not the basic model anymore. The Javalin is pretty easy to aim and shoot, but that is dependant on battlefield conditions. Here, its just a test shot to verify that it works under normal operating conditions. It doesn't really aims using a laser, cuz its not really as effective as most people think it is.

  • Jeez , the tank is like T-72A , which is like 40 years old.. they don't even use those anymore

  • As good as the Javalin is.....you guys realize that that shot was assisted right?

  • Hell, the only really known swedish AT weapon is The Carl Gustav Launcher and it's still in use

  • This is a JAVELIN ANTI-ARMOUR MISSILE is made in USA,

not Swedish!!!! The Javelin is a manportable, fire-and-forget, antitank missile employed by dismounted infantry to defeat current and future threat armored combat vehicles. Javelin is intended to replace the Dragon system in the Army and the Marine Corps. JAVELIN has significant improvements over DRAGON. The Javelin's range of approximately 2,500 meters is more than twice that of its predecessor, the Dragon.

  • Fire and forget AT missile

  • how the hell do you aim??

  • My guess is a laser, but it could also be fly-by-wire.

  • that aint swedish

  • How the hell would You know that it's not a swedish Anti Tank missile? we do have some "Good" military technology

  • This is the U.S Armys Javelin anti tank weapons system. Sorry to bust your swedish pride.

  • Heh, I'm American. I just labeled this video as it was labeled when I found it. ;)

I've updated the title for it though. :)

  • Do anyone believe sombody would have survived in that tank??

  • WOW amazing, it just blows the tank to little pieces.

The explosion was huge, almost like a gas explosion.
