@danocatster Setzer recorded it later, and with many more instruments. Brian is an exceptional guitarist. And he has done a good version of this song is not to detract from the version of SRV.

Two guitarists with different styles, it is not necessarily comparable.

@9timesnine If you've read the posts here you see that some said SRV played this better than Setzer...when I start seeing Setzer commonly listed in the top 10 guitar players of all time, I'll stop defending him. Right now those lists are stocked with over-rated players, SRV, no fault of his own, being one of them. I like SRV; he's just not in Setzer's league.

Any one that knows his shit around a guitar would definitely give Brian his due. He is an incredible talent. All these top ten lists are what that particular person thinks, not the world. There is no greatest guitarists ever. There are to many to count. Ricky Skaggs being one of them. SRV, and Gary Moore to me was the greatest blues player ever. And we just lost him lately.
