Mr. Lemmon - It's very obvious you love your team and those Pirates of the 70s were great ones. I just wish you could have found more photos and footage from the 1971 season to illustrate this video.
Other than Clemente, the '71 series also belonged to Steve Blass. 2 wins over Cuellar including the game 7 clincher. Pirates were a heck of a team back then.
If you want to be taken seriously be accurate and spell words properly. I'll simply ignore the spelling gaffes because they are numerous and just focus on the accuracy issue.
The last National League player to attain a Triple Crown was Ducky Medwick in 1937. Clemente never won a Triple Crown.
Clemente's last hit came in the last game of the 1972 season. He died on December 31, 1972--not January 1971.
You can't BS baseball fans. Knowledgeable ones can spot inaccuracies miles away.
Dude! Do you know how to spell? The word is spelled O-R-I-O-L-E-S. I'm surprised that you didn't spell the word "Oreos" for the Baseball Team in Baltimore that the Pirates beat in the 1971 World Series.
@Jiltedin2007 He played for Pittsburgh before going over to Philly. Pittsburgh had decided on Rennie Stennett as their 2nd baseman and traded Cash to Philly.
