It's disgusting the way we treat people who have done nothing wrong. Drug use is a medical problem--when it's a problem at all. But it certainly shouldn't be against the law. Worried about people snatching wallets and stealing cars to get money for drugs? Those things are already against the law, so let's not pretend that the possession or ingestion of a narcotic is something that requires punishment.
Legalise all drugs and have good strict regulations on its sales. Thats it. It would save any country billions of dollars. It would make them even more with the taxes on drugs. Its not rocket science. Its pretty basic stuff.
